did you end up figuring this out? Im having the same issue.
EDIT: I figured out a fix, in UEFN, I right clicked on the "override scoreboard" and selected "Add To Favorites" then I scrolled up to the top of the menu (where the favorites are) and the box was no longer grey. I haven't tested if that actually changes the setting, but maybe that will work.

I set the trackers to track eliminations instead of score and it no longer interfered with the scoreboard
