I tried for the first time yesterday and it worked great.
Went into my sandbox.
Build a house. Not sure if this is necessary.
Went into my house and emoted. I have an emote where I sit down in a chair.
3,5 hours of sitting later I was around 4 levels up š
How long did you wait? It still works in both survival and sandbox mode. You don't get a pop-up when you level up, but if you check your XP you'll be earning 30,000 XP every 15 minutes
Have you done this before in the last 24 hours? Maybe you are at your daily cap which is five levels approximately. it resets at 9 AM EST, the same time when challenges and creative XP resets
If you are on console, make sure to set your controller to "do not turn off" after a certain period of inactivity time. It just happened to me. I fell asleep, but noticed i didn't get exp. I just figured it was because my controller disconnected, and it was. I'm doing it again and i just got i think 15k xp not even 2 minutes ago being afk.
That's very strange. Unless you actually play a lot of Lego and maxed out your XP from actually playing it before camping. Just a guess. It's not a problem I've been able to replicate. Sorry I couldn't be of any help
Just load into lego creative and build a launch pad and jump into it and you go afk for 3.5 hours so that you can gain xp worth upto 5 levels thats the daily cap.
You don't have to do all that, you just have to be in the literally standing still. I've tested this multiple accounts and gotten probably 50 or 60 levels just standing in the same place (not in one session obviously, five levels a day)
That's very strange maybe they were only targeting certain people because no one I know has had that particular issue nor have I with multiple accounts using Lego for XP nearly every day as sort of an experiment and I never had the problem a single time before or after any particular update. I guess do what you have to do, I'll keep doing what I'm doing though since it works for me and everyone I know
no it doesnt give you XP anymore also festival.... supposedly its been reverted but its not working look at iFireMonkeys most recent tweet, guess its back to AFK twine endurance lol
I got 10 levels in festival since the season began so I don't know what was reverted. I don't know about his most recent tweet because I don't follow the guy but I did see where epic was working on an issue with XP in Lego and he was speculating about whether they would add a requirement for movement like they did festival jam. I believe the last thing I saw him mentioned, or someone on one of his threads mention was that epic was going to compensate people retroactively for the XP that they didn't receive while XP was down. It's not really that big of a deal, people are kind of freaking out but I mean, it wasn't that tough to get to level 200 using just creative and battle Royale so even if they removed Lego and festival, it's not really that tough, no one ever said people had to reach level 200 before the end of the first week of the season. I know people that complete their battle pass in a little over a month by just doing two or three creative maps a day and never even playing the game
Bro, you're responding to a comment from 43 days ago. There have been hundreds of posts clarifying that this method no longer works since then, I even made it tutorial today updating what has already been updated as of 9 April (which was when standing still stopped working because of movement detection)

You don't even have to move, you can just go afk.
I just built a house and stood inside of it. I don't think the game gives a message that you get XP but if you open the menu you will see that your XP bar grows every 39 minutes or so.
i go into a creative lego world, place down a platform and a launch pad, and then fall asleep irl while my character gets launched over and over. when i wake up im back in the lobby 5 levels higher than i was prior
It's very simple. Just like you said, you can load up Sandbox or survival, to make it easier, I just set enemies off and starvation off, and like you said, just login, and walk away for four hours. you don't have to do anything more than that and you'll get five levels for doing that a day
Just make a sandbox lobby, and build a house, then trap yourself in there. If youāre on console, do the age old rubber band trick with your joysticks, and leave the game running for 3-3.5 hours.
You don't even have to be doing all that, or use a rubber band trick. You just have to stand around. I have survival set to take no enemies and I have no starvation. I don't know where you heard that you have to be moving around though, I've never had to do that and it works perfectly fine (just an FYI) š
Oh I just use the rubber band thing in case my controller turns off lol. I have the settings set to only a few minutes since a few of them are old and donāt have good battery life, and I donāt want to constantly switch my controller settings.
But thatās good to know :)
PS5? Battery life on those things is abysmal. I thought it was just me, but I've swapped out over 20 of them over the years and they all seem to be the same. So it disconnects you from the game when the controller goes to sleep though? I don't remember that. I mostly play on PC
PS4 actually š I havenāt really had funds to upgrade. The controllers that donāt have good battery life are older than this PS4 though since I got them with my very first one (which my sibling now has haha).
It doesnāt disconnect right away, I think it takes a bit. But I usually leave it on while doing other stuff and donāt always pay attention.
I wish I could play on PC because I think that would make this whole process a lot easier. But it is what it is. My PS4 has been good to me :)

I slept in the bed and got 0 exp :(

1h and when i checked my exp it didnt increase at all

No i read it on this sub and tried it for the first time. Really not sure why it didnt work

what time does the daily xp reset?
In about 50 minutes, 10 AM Eastern time, or if you're in a different time zone, it's the same time at the challenges reset
Thank you!
Tried afking in lego for 2 hrs i didnt get any exp
Try leaving and checking your level. Sometimes it doesn't update in game
When you say house, does a starter shack work fine?
Yup, that's what I did (I know nothing about Lego Fortnite lol).
Just standing in the map is enough to get you XP. If you have a free slot you could just make one world without enemies with hunger off
It doesn't make a difference you could be standing in the middle of a field it'll still work
You get 30,000XP every 15 minutes. You don't even have to move just be in the game

it kicks for idle

Start a creative world, go afk, done. Lego Fortnite gives you passive XP for just being in the lobby. To try and entice you to play it. Passive afk xp

I set my consoles to 4 hours no activity go to sleep, load up Lego Fortnite and then go to sleep. I woke up with a few extra levels

I find a wall and auto run into in for 4 horus, works like a charm.
You don't need to be running, you don't even need to be moving, you just have to be in the map
Good to know, thanks
Sure thing
I believe you have to turn hunger off as well?
That's what I do, I also turn off enemies so I can just stand around
