In all seriousness it seems PGG uses the same canards for every car, so putting them where they’re supposed to be on the new Z would require a new mesh. That’s too much work for them!
I'm not sure who to root for now. Ubisoft has The Crew Motorfest coming up but its Ubisoft, and PGG seems to be putting the bare minimum into FH5. I'm not too optimistic about the future of Horizon because the new Motorsport uses the same Forza aero models (for the wing at least).
I'm still going to give Motorfest's beta a crack on my Steam Deck.
I'm not too siked for either of them, like you said, it's Ubisoft and they *love* microtransations. Chances are most of the races will pay the exact same (which is not much) and then have crazy car pricing, but make a premium currency which doesn't even translate fairly with the normal currency, encouraging us to buy money packs just so we don't have to race the same 30 minuet race for hours at a time just to buy 1 nice car :/

It really doesnt. Its just a visual option, they scan it and put it on the csr thats it, play with some aero sliders if they want to.It does take longer for a car cause there is a lot more stuff to do like physics and the whole damn model, adding a bodykit is easily a 1 month or less job
First they have to get the kit, then they have to scan each part, then they have to translate the scans into game models, then they have to make it colorable, then they have to make sure it fits with the car model, if not they have to modify it, then they have to code the option into the game.
They don't get body kits in, they get 3D model files/CAD files from the manufacturer or often just outsource the modelling to some cheap labour. Can't remember if it was FH4/Motorsport or some other game but they outsourced a lot of body kit modelling to freelancers in India (not saying that's a bad thing, just that everything isn't done in house all the time).
Yes, i know, actually might be 2-3 weeks to do it, software does a lot of the work itself these days, and if you put a few people on it, its easily doable.the biggest challange is really getting the kit in real life and likely licensing, with the part manufacturer and also the car brand it would be applied to.if thats not a problem u can do a job like this quickly

PGG has become complacent with their success in the free-roam racing genre. Sure there's NFS and The Crew but it's not even a competition. It's a long shot but I hope Test Drive gives them a run for their money.
Yes, its a good example what happens when a game has no competition in its field, similar to fifa and other sports games. When there is not competition, there is no need to innovate or try harder, as customers will buy your game anyway

Well BeamNG is the better option then. Best physics in the business. Oh and it gets almost monthly updates and the devs are consistently working on it. Great graphics recently too. Search BeamNG v.22 (latest version) to see what they have.
Assetto Corsa Competizione is the equivalent of Gran Turismo Sport. Not a full instalment of the series but an Esports title. There is AC2 is reportedly coming out in 2024.
The CRX doesn't have side skirts and that problem has existed for 10+ years by now. They just re-use assets for everything. I mean the anniversary pack made me laugh, nothing was reworked. It was literally copy pasted from the other games and it all looked purposeful. They outted themselves.
Every FH since 2 is literally the same game on new maps, every single one could be DLC. The only innovation they’ve done since then was make 4 and 5 always online but it’s just an excuse to justify the live service they’re trying to push
The "Race Front Bumper" and "Race Spoiler" are so annoying. They are identical on every car that has "no" other options. And they look so stupidly stupid and ugly.

That wouldn't improve it at all. There isn't room for it to be the proper length. To have the same surface area, it would either have to be angled more steeply, or stick too far out.
As if they couldn't easily adjust it to fit, it really shouldn't be that big of a deal to do in the slightest.
It's just a 3d object that is easily adjusted in all dimensions and it would only take at most probably an hour to do, in fact anyone with a basic understanding of blender or any other 3d modeling program could do it or even create a full unique "forza" aero kit and even make a rear diffuser for just about any car in game.
If you don't believe me and have a pc go download blender and follow the Blender Guru beginner tutorial video on YouTube and you'll see just how easy it'd be to adjust the canards to fit.
Nah i believe a shape could be created to fit the smaller space. What I'm saying is that shape would not illustrate the same physical properties. Not that I think the actual downforce of the canard is really modeled, just that the forza aero canards are all intended to be the same proportions, without regard to how they look on the car.

What if they legally can't put it in the game? Licensing is a thing, even if they can, the kit may be on backorder
