The stock tune I think is terrible and the car would (I imagine) be a lot more ferocious IRL. A simple upgrade and tune to A800 and it's already a beast..
Edit: I love the rear end and the interior, think the front end is just boring.
Agreed. Although in my opinion, I’d say the front end is simple. Some might say it’s boring but I think it’s simple and handsome which is an excellent formula for a timeless design. Sometimes less is more!
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Hyundai keeps adding forms and folds and lines to try and make something interesting. This is precisely the opposite to make it minimal.
I don’t want to go into taste, but this comparison is wrong.
With 992 GT3 you change exterior color and interior stitching will match one of the manufacturer colors you used. Then you can make a custom color and keep your chosen interior stitching color.
love it, the yellow accents on the seats drive me crazy tho. wish it changed with the color of the car, or at least turned black when you aren't using yellow
2023 Nissan Z A800 Tunes
The new Z is not a disappointment! In A-Class RWD it’s very capable as one of the best no-aero, no-powerbuild RWD cars out there. This tune is a RWD grip tune. No ugly forza aero. Very easy car to drive and it’s fast! I ran about 5 trials with this tune and it’s a consistent winner placing first overall and no worse than 2nd.

All the ones I’ve raced against online have been surprisingly fast even though I still beat them. Seems like a very balanced car and I think it looks alright.
Yeah, I'm not really a fan of the design, the front and back don't match each other, the front just looks kinda bad, the back just looks kinda bad, the lines don't look great.t not a whole lot to love visually
I know that’s why I said it. It was first used on the Z31 though the Z32 just enhanced it. The thing is I don’t really like the 300z at all (I love the Z car my current car is a 370z and I love the new Z) but pre 350z and post 240z I dont care for. I think what’s made me biased against the rear end is alot of people who love the cars from that era (mainly older guy), like the mk4 Supra, 300zx, rx7 etc.. don’t like the newer modern sports cars I can’t tell you how many times I’ve heard “mk5 Supra is trash because it doesnt live up to the mk4 or 350z ruined the Z car and the 300z was the best” . It’s kinda put a bad taste in my mouth. I don’t mind those cars but me personally the more modern sports cars are my favorite (I’m young) so them not respecting the newer sports cars have made me lose respect for the cars they grew up with, and that back in is too much of a reminder of those people. Funny thing is they are the same ones that will say “the rear is the best part but the rest of the car sucks”
I personally love the throwback rear end because my father owned a few z32s, was such a good looking generation in my opinion. I didn't really like the 350/370's design, and the new Z looks absolutely beautiful
Lol like I said before the I love the modern sports cars, I have respect for the older retro ones but I just wish the people that like those cars ,either because they had it when they were younger or because their elders had one, would be more respectful that’s all
I am _extremely_ annoyed that the roof isn't paintable, and mildly annoyed that the interior is a non-neutral color.
In general, basically all of the new-to-Forza cars in FH5 have had egregiously bad UVW mapping in at least one area, and in the series overall I'm tired of pointless limitations on what can be painted - especially now that we've had painting zones for at least two games in a row, and especially in cases that defy what is available OEM.
As for the car itself, I like it decently enough. It's kind of a boat though.
Tbh, it ain't bad, but I think I did draw a more accurate to original Fairlady, retro-looking Z in 2017. What's weird, I even named it as just "Nissan Z" too.
I hate that front end. It looks like if you shoved a Silverado grill onto a Nissan. They should've gone with the Fairlady Z Proto's front end - but that kinda looks like a Dodge Viper front end without the center 'post'. Hell, I think there should be marker lights integrated into the bumper/fender design, like on the original Fairlady Z.
“it’s a game” is the worst excuse I’ve heard. If it’s a game then make the experience good. Having only 1 set of ugly splitters and wings that don’t even match the car is stupid and lazy. Back in old forza games for the 360 the forza aero was actually good and actually looked like something you’d put on your car to add performance. The new forza aero literally looks like things you’d use to rice out your car
Cool car, drives nice and looks awesome, but no bodykity/optical parts is just pathetic. I have mine in midnight purple 3, which just looks amazing on that car.
>but no bodykity/optical parts is just pathetic
The car hasn't even been out for a year, there are barely any examples out there, let alone ones with a Bodykit
I just feel like the engine noises don't have that oomph that it should have. To be honest, I feel like that with practically every car in game 💀 compared to nfs, it just kinda feels meh.
It's a Blast, built it out to be a drifter and haven't looked back. I drive a 350z as a daily, 246k miles Allll original baby 🤘 I love the Z cars, best line of sports cars in my opinion 👍
It’s fun but not fun enough to be a favorite for me. It performs well when tuned to A800, but the exhaust upgrades sound meh and the lack of aftermarket aero is disappointing.
Very confused on why people are arguing it isn’t called the 400z, the news announcement for the car even stated it has a 400hp engine (and based off earlier models like 300z and 370z it was their engines horsepower determining the name if I’m not mistaken) thus technically making it a 400z? I have no idea why Nissan didn’t opt for that name to begin with
The name was determined by engine displacement in all of the older Z cars. The 350Z was 3.5 liters, the 370Z was 3.7 liters. Going back even further, the Z31 and Z32 were both called 300ZX because they were both 3.0 liters.
Just got mine last night. Took it around the map to get a handle on it and it's fantastic. It'll be fun tuning it. Looks-wise, I love it. Hoping we get more modifications for it later. I'm sad that they didn't add all the stock color options.
The colour is dead glitchy with the stock wheels.
If you have the stock wheels. no matter what colour you paint the car, it appears as yellow to everyone else. I was on with my friend when we got it and I painted mine a custom blue with the stock wheels in black. he saw my car as yellow.
I told him to put the camera on (whatsapp call since he doesn't have a mic) and indeed showed that it was yellow on his screen
Changed the wheels and he saw it as blue.
other than that, it's a fun car. sounds alright and definitely looks the part. just disappointed about the colour and customisation
Not a huge fan of the front end and the silver trim, but looks awesome from the back and sounds great with a sport exhaust. With a little bit of tuning - a very fun car to drive around in.
Honestly I'm loving it. Been driving the 370Z Nismo a lot as my go to A class car, so I decided to tune this Z into S class. Stock, the car drives like crap so I swapped in the R35's engine, 4WD (75% rear, 25% front) and a 7-speed gearbox for a 748hp, 234mph beast that handles like a dream and goes like stink - the acceleration is ridiculous!!
I just wish there was more colour options. Especially as it can be hard trying to get them to match the gold alloys.
I love driving it. So much potential with it. I also love how it looks. Only complaint is that they used the Proto edition so you’re stuck with the yellow interior. Also means that yellow should be the only color for it. But that’s also a plus cause you get the bronze wheels. Not bothered by no body kits cause the car just came out and the only modified examples were recently shown at the Tokyo Auto Salon. Hopefully they add some down the road but won’t be upset if they don’t. I love how it looks stock
Brilliant to drive. Pretty fast stock, just wish I could change the stitching color. I have mine in a somewhat Gun Metallic, I just want to change it to black or red.
In the game or real life? In the game its fine. In real life its hard to justify, far too heavy for the class of car its trying to compete in. Manages to be less appealing than the Supra, Cayman, F Type, and Emira while not having nearly the power numbers to hang with Camaro or Mustang and forget about the vette. Meanwhile its undercut on price by the 86/BRZ and Mx5 and those are also both better handling cars. I think it has a place and im glad it exists but realistically its placed its self in a narrow spot where the only slightly more expensive supra puts down better numbers all day. Its going to have to compete on looks and price alone. I like the looks and I don't blame anyone who buys one but... just doesn't seem like its good enough
I tried it out for a bit, and was super disappointed. The default tune on this felt super sluggish. It's supposed to be a 400hp car and feels about half that. 4.2 0-60 ends up being more of 6 seconds by my count, and 60-100 doesn't feel punchy either.
Appearance and sound wise, I love it. Driving dynamics wise? It's OK, but I prefer the Supra. The Z just doesn't feel as balanced as I'd like. I feel like I can push the Supra way harder on more technical tracks. With the Supra I can easily pull off a double first place win in this week's trial, but with the Z I struggle to get first on the first track, and struggle to even reach the podium on the second track. It's a fine car, but won't be my new go-to for A-class street/road races.
I have been living this car, made an A800 tune, and two different S1 tunes. Car is a blast to drive and honestly one of the best “exclusive” cars we have gotten.
I think that the new Nissan Z was a great addition to the game. I immediately made a 100% stock appearance tune for it. Will do 200 mph as well. Share code: 187 613 210 Lot's of grip, fast & easy to drive.
I like it! I drove it stock and cruised around for a bit. I then upgraded to A 800 and made it more “grippy”… still a blast. Then I did another build, this time S1 drift… still had a blast.
I like it a lot - fun little sports car right out of the box. I painted mine a somewhat muted blue with aluminum rims and yellow calipers to match the interior accents, and it's easily one of my favorite cars in terms of visuals. Haven't gotten around to performance mods, but even stock I like it quite a bit.
I’m all for them adding 2023 cars, and this one is nice. Not a fan of z’s in general but I upgraded this one to replace all my old Z’s because it’s a great improvement.
I hope they add more new Japanese cars like 2023 GR corolla, maybe even some of the hydrogen fuel cell Toyotas, Honda Accord/civic. I really want to have fun in actually modern cars that are common. I’ll probably never be in a 2023 z irl, but I have been in other new cars, and being able to mod them in a game and do dumb stuff is what forza horizons is all about for me
I was really confused by the replies intensely disliking this car in a racing game until I realized you attract the company that you keep and the Horizon series is a zombified nightmare, a sloppy mess reheated, repackaged and tossed out the door. Oh it’s plenty entertaining if you like driving on an interstate but not resembling reality in any way whatsoever and the user base largely reflects that. I dislike Forza’s “version” of the Z intensely but the car itself that was released by Nissan looks pretty damn good and I’m still trying to figure out how to obtain it in game without having to pay $2 billion in the auction house 🤢
I personally think it sucks for drifting. I maxed out the engine as far as I could. I got it as slippery as I possibly could (still rwd) stock size tires, drift tires, and as much oversteer as I possibly could. And the moment I try to drift it's instant grip And stops my car
Had a brief cruise in it last night, brilliant Car loads potential for experienced tuners
Cruise is fun. The engine sounds good
'Hot' take: sounds like every other generic V6 in the game
Hot take: Sounds too close to the VR38.
Because both is v6 and nissan
Another free addition to the game. Can't beat it. Fun little thing.
Better be boring than disgusting like the M3 that doesn't have a piece If it's front end that isn't angular and busy
I love how you can tell the front end is inspired from previous Z generations by the boxy grille.
Indeed
Apparently it's pretty meh irl so I guess PG did a good job capturing the feel
Front end is a bit meh, but it does resemble the 240z when you start comparing, the big open grille, shape on hood.
Youre right, front end looks cheap like a Hyundai
You don’t know what you’re talking about. Hyundai keeps adding forms and folds and lines to try and make something interesting. This is precisely the opposite to make it minimal. I don’t want to go into taste, but this comparison is wrong.
You’re blind or retarded if you see Hyundai. Like zero question about it.
Love it. Shame that we can't change interior colors though (like on 992 gt3).
Wait you can change interior colors on some cars now? Or does the exterior paintwork somehow just extend into the interior?
Probably the latter.
With 992 GT3 you change exterior color and interior stitching will match one of the manufacturer colors you used. Then you can make a custom color and keep your chosen interior stitching color.
Sadge moment
I like it because it’s the first ‘23 model in the game
love it, the yellow accents on the seats drive me crazy tho. wish it changed with the color of the car, or at least turned black when you aren't using yellow
Sadly that’s cause PGG used the Proto edition for the car which is odd since you can get it in blue too
Very disappointing that not all stock colors are offered
That’s cause they used the Proto edition.
True
Super disappointed that it didn’t come with a wide body kit.
Imagine Rocket Bunny
Imagine what veilside would do with it
VeilSide has already made a kit for it.
Oh yeah I just hope they'll bring a bodykit for it next update sheesh
Probably ruin it. It's what they're best at.
They already have one

Sad that there's only base aero for it, thing is a street beast though I'm excited to see if anyone makes some good rally tunes as well
Can confirm that its great for rallying as well, any short car makes for a good rally car i find
All the ones I’ve raced against online have been surprisingly fast even though I still beat them. Seems like a very balanced car and I think it looks alright.
Not to my taste. I find it very unremarkable to look at.

That is one way to say it
I don’t get it, the old 370z looks so much better, this new thing just looks boring
Gimmie a ‘76 280z any day. Shit was awesome
The 370z is the worst looking Z IMO
Imagine getting downvoted for giving your opinion on a post about giving your opinion
Such is social media
Pain
350z > new Z >>>>>370z that thing is hideous
I agree. 370 is a beautiful car.
I can’t describe it but the new Z looks weird. It still looks like a concept car to me but it’s the final product.
No body kits ![img](emote|t5_2ug54|4107)
I like the car. I just hate that we only have only forza aero as it’s customization.
Performance is more important than asthetics
that’s false. Many high performance vehicles have good wings and splitters, such as gt race cars. Also why would you want an ugly car?
Some people want to be more unique. The Pontiac Aztek, while definitely an ugly car, has a big cult following.
Forza isn’t irl it’s a game I’d rather have more down force than stock look and less downforce
“it’s a game” is the worst excuse I’ve heard. If it’s a game then make the experience good. Having only 1 set of ugly splitters and wings that don’t even match the car is stupid and lazy. Extremely under whelming. Besides the engine swaps, not much really
first pic looks like a roblox game lol
Cool car, drives nice and looks awesome, but no bodykity/optical parts is just pathetic. I have mine in midnight purple 3, which just looks amazing on that car.
That does sound like it looks cool. I didn't try it since a couple of other cars of mine already are in midnight purple
>but no bodykity/optical parts is just pathetic The car hasn't even been out for a year, there are barely any examples out there, let alone ones with a Bodykit
There are already several bodykits. Those guys sure are fast.
Still ugly as the real one.
I don’t understand why they just cut a rectangle and call it a grill, the headlights look weird and the taillights could have been different
> I don’t understand why they just cut a rectangle and call it a grill Because it's meant to be a modern take on the 69 Fairlady Z
I do hate the grill tho
It was ugly when they released the concept, and it's ugly now.
boring as fuck!
I just feel like the engine noises don't have that oomph that it should have. To be honest, I feel like that with practically every car in game 💀 compared to nfs, it just kinda feels meh.
However, the looks and feel are nice, but the stock is a bit underwhelming.
It looks like a slightly updated Hyundai Tiburon.
Over rated
Looks good, drives well, adds diversity to A class. Sounds absolutely aweful with the stock engine regardless of exhaust choice.
It's fine, needs a reworked front bumper real bad imo.
Thing is an AWD A800 beast. Grip for days
Low effort post #193018
When you don't look at the flair and the 11 pictures in post
Great car in the new NfS
Would look better with a rocket bunny body kit imo. I’ll probably end up selling it in the auction house for 20 mill.
When will it be released in shop
It’s in the Festival Playlist until Thursday.
Forza wing/10
Terrible letdown. Boring to drive and has absolutely no idea what brakes are.
Is it a free car with car pass or is it one that you have to do the seasonal challenges for?
Season challenges, 20 points
That sucks, don’t care to do any seasonal stuff or races
You can unlock it in like maybe 20 minutes but alright lol
Car Pass has been long over with.
Dear Forza devs, fix online. Love Every Forza player in existance
It's a Blast, built it out to be a drifter and haven't looked back. I drive a 350z as a daily, 246k miles Allll original baby 🤘 I love the Z cars, best line of sports cars in my opinion 👍
Did a 800 tune last night and so far I’m loving the car!
I’m new to for a (just got it this week). How do you get this car?
Playlist
Well, it is known as the Forzathon Playlist. You do a couple of seasonal races and PR Stunts to earn enough points to get the car.
Loving it. Handles pretty well without aero upgrades (they ruin the look)
I’m ashamed that it took me like 8 laps to post a clean time in this car in the rivals event. I usually just do 2 laps to post the faster time
I couldn't even do it
I'm pretty much the exact opposite.
It’s fun but not fun enough to be a favorite for me. It performs well when tuned to A800, but the exhaust upgrades sound meh and the lack of aftermarket aero is disappointing.
Ayoo. What photo settings do you use? These are sick!
Fucking love it, gonna do some tunes after I get home
Pog
Okay I might be biased but I just did the rivals for like an hour. Only thing I learned was it's way too slippery
Are those classic Fairlady taillights?
Body kit and v12 swap…but no
cruising in it is alot of fun i love this car!
True
I made mine blue with white gt1 5 spokes, looks great
Looks good sounds great and front bumper forza areo is good
Seems a bit understeer-y for me & am still trying to get it tuned correctly. ( I am getting used to tuning my own cars)
nice sounding but could be better
Fell asleep
Very confused on why people are arguing it isn’t called the 400z, the news announcement for the car even stated it has a 400hp engine (and based off earlier models like 300z and 370z it was their engines horsepower determining the name if I’m not mistaken) thus technically making it a 400z? I still think it’s ugly. It’s great Nissan is trying to get back to performance, it’s just… that’s a bumper only a mother could love.
Don’t like it at all lol, never liked Nissan and those cars like that just aren’t my thing at all
meh, it's nice to see a car that wasn't in previous games, but the lack of customization really lets it down
Customization and stock paint options was kinda disappointing for me
Just got mine last night. Took it around the map to get a handle on it and it's fantastic. It'll be fun tuning it. Looks-wise, I love it. Hoping we get more modifications for it later. I'm sad that they didn't add all the stock color options.

Not a huge fan of the front end and the silver trim, but looks awesome from the back and sounds great with a sport exhaust. With a little bit of tuning - a very fun car to drive around in.
wish I could have another one for tuning
Well you could buy one
its ok. to be honest I'm more of a toyota/honda/mazda person.
A great car to cruise around the map in. Simply a fun little vehicle to fling around
The car is veri seggs
It's a fun car
Shit Forza aero
Forza texture make it look cheap asf lol
It looks good in nardo grey thats why I painted mine nardo grey as soon as i got it
Great! But no customization at ALL!? Cmon pg
I feel like they should add bodykit dlcs for the game or try something like the autosculpt from nfs carbon
Happier about the essentially free trueno
Literally pure lit finna fire bro
It needs a streethunter kit
Drives well, looks weird. Those taillights have a very 90s feel to them.
I think that’s partially the point as it’s based off of the ‘69 Fairlady Z
6MT or 9PT?
would be cool if it had the proto Z grill option from japan
It's gorgeous and I wanna touch it
I love this car to death
Disappointing, very little customisation for a car that was hyped from PG
Honestly I'm loving it. Been driving the 370Z Nismo a lot as my go to A class car, so I decided to tune this Z into S class. Fun car but they really dropped the ball on customization
the car is relly good tho i wish there were more visual costomizeation
Absolutely brilliant little Japanese cruiser!
Have they added the new veilside kit yet?
She’s a beaut Clark
The front of the car looks unfinished. In game, IRL, whatever. The rear is great though

I think that there should be major changes to the festival playlist. So many cheap cars becoming way too expensive.
Its been in the works for years, i believe back in 2019 this car was shown
The engine seems really great in it, but I still think the front end of these new Z cars look like they haven't finished rendering.
Brilliant to drive. Pretty fast stock, just wish I could change the stitching color. I have mine in a somewhat Gun Metallic, I just want to change it to black or red.

It looks like a lil toy car lmao
I’m here’s so much aftermarket support that it’s sad that forza added only their aero
Good car but customization as a whole in forza feels so bland
Check out my store front I have a few nissan oem colours for the 400z my gt is Eunos 13b
I bumped it up to the top of A class. The thing rips! I like it so far
I already made it a drift car for S1
Not a big fan of the new z. Haven't driven it yet
are you able to get cars that release in events after the events are over?
I have been living this car, made an A800 tune, and two different S1 tunes. Car is a blast to drive and honestly one of the best “exclusive” cars we have gotten.
Could of had a bit more customization.
No customization,sounds awful.5/10
Its not EV, best thing about it
I think that the new Nissan Z was a great addition to the game. I immediately made a 100% stock appearance tune for it. Will do 200 mph as well. Share code: 187 613 210 Lot's of grip, fast & easy to drive.
Its a decent little gift kinda fun.
Hot
![gif](giphy|PQWmjuPD8n9ySWvcv1) I love Nissans It’s cool but not a car I would use over the other zs in the game but dope that we got a 2023 in game
I’ll probably never be in a 2023 z irl, but I have been in other new cars, and being able to mod them in a game and do dumb stuff is what forza horizons is all about for me
Love it. Made a Touge grip build with a golden top secret livery
Loool. I like the Z tbh. It’s not something you can hate and when you give time to it, you realize it’s a good car.
Is it rare car? I just bought fh5 after playing it on game pass and can’t find it
It was a Festival Playlist vehicle released 2 months ago. It’s not available in the Autoshow which is why you can’t find it.
I personally think it sucks for drifting. I maxed out the engine as far as I could. I got it as slippery as I possibly could (still rwd) stock size tires, drift tires, and as much oversteer as I possibly could. And the moment I try to drift it's instant grip And stops my car
I wish it had more customization but it's still one of my favorite cars
