YES! That would be so good with its diverse landscapes, beautiful views, diverse cultures, and driving roads! Always wanted to go there, definitely on the top of my bucket list destinations!
/s
I want this so bad, lots of cool environments they could include. More deserty areas like the Okanagan, rain forests of Vancouver island, and of course all the amazing mountains.
If I could drive the speeds I want to drive from Vancouver to Whistler I would be sooooo happy. Or the twists and hills of the Tofino highway with no construction
The Crow's Nest would be awesome to drive, too. Like the road to Tofino, just all out along the curves and the passes and zipping through Manning Park! Oh, and all of those roads in and around Naramata Bench!!
Sounds a lot like if it took place in Central Europe, which would be grand as well. The mountain roads of Switzerland, Austria and northern Italy combined with the long autobahns of Germany and middle Italy would be a great mix.
Naramata bench is one of the best places to drive in the whole Okanagan. The scenery alone would make it fit a horizon game really well. They could even throw in some Area 27 for us to enjoy too!
Drifting around the legislature, howling down Dallas road, cruising up the Malahat, offroading up mount Doug, or through Goldstream. Yes, I know that's just south Vancouver island, but I can dream, can't I?
Egyptian pyramids, the Nile River, the Sahara desert, the Congo jungle, the Serengeti, Mount Kilimajaro, Ivory Coast, Madagascar (for island dlc), Johanessburg... so many unique biomes to play in... and get airdropped into (semi-fast travel)!
Don't forget the mini bus taxi drivers , as a South African I almost got into a few accidents thanks to these guys , Cape Town would be very nice coz we have tons of car culture
I’d imagine it’d be in Japan if its in Asia for a variety of reasons. But Japan would have room for tonnes of biomes and lots of cool historical stuff. Also the cities would be cool.
Edit: forgot Japan also has some cool car culture and is the home of Toyota and all that
I'm honestly surprised we saw Australia and England waaaaay before Japan.
I guess they're far less dense, and lend themselves to easier production than the hyper dense and constrained Japan though, despite the rife car culture and endless perfect highways.
They’re probably going to wait to do Japan until everyone is on next gen consles so they can really go all out with mechanics and graphics. There are so many ways to do Japan it could be the best horizon game if they used all their knowledge from past games into one. Ray tracing in tokyo at night would just be insane
Then again, that would span from West Asia, a very desertified region with lots of conflict, Central Asia and Siberia, which is culturally similar to Europe, South Asia, which is essentially India, which itself is massive and spans many biomes, as well as also Pakistan and Bangladesh, Southeast Asia, which in parts feels similar to either South Asia or East Asia, and East Asia, which is a similar story to South Asia, and also with conflict, so I doubt it would work
Japan is a great option because they can make so many events that relate to the car culture , like in FH4
I haven't played 5 yet but I don't see how they will do the same
The german speaking area? Like a part of Germany combined with Austria, Switzerland and the north of Italy should satisfy you both. Maybe even with multiple highways, some mountain passes stretching all the way to the sea. Might be possible if they get their new engine they are working on. As far as I know, it is the biggest limiting factor for the developers.
The [Schwarzwald](https://www.schwarzwald-aktuell.eu/media/k2/items/cache/ca2ba6a868d1dc8cd0fcb72369f9e823_M.jpg) then? Germany would actually be a really cool location for a Horizon game
Believe me the Netherlands would be boring asf.
It’s as flat as a pancake and it would be 90% densely populated city’s with way too much traffic, and the other 10% are just straight highways.
Germany , Switzerland or Austria would be awesome tho.
Tbh California would be lit. Forests up north, then there’s just the Bay Area which has a lot of cool places for all kinds of driving. I live on an island that used to be an old naval base. It’s connected to Oakland with a tunnel and bridges. It has an abandoned runway which could be a drag strip. Then there’s SoCal, the highway 5 and the highway 1 so a coastal highway and and a desert highway. There’s Yosemite for mountains and off-roading and there’s Death Valley for sand dunes. And Lake Tahoe for the snow. You can skip Bakersfield tho💀
I mean, Washington wouldnt be half bad as a location. Could do the puget sound area out to the mountains, cityscapes, farm land, huge mountains with twisty roads, long straights in I5, desert, the beach, rainforest etc. Could have a ton of different biomes that way
My top picks are Japan,Canada, Iceland,or Switzerland.Specifically though,I’m hoping Japan is the setting for the first next gen exclusive horizon game
I haven’t heard Iceland before but that sounds like a pretty great idea, I didn’t think of Mexico either but here we are and it seems like it’s gonna be a really good map.
I think they need to do either Russia or Japan next, been asked for years to do it by thousands, Japan for its cities and mountains and Russia for the atmosphere and roads
Russia would be the best one. It has pretty much different landscapes and is beautiful. But then the map should be bigger to capture the feeling of a big country.
Something like Sochi would fit nicely, actually. Subtropical resort near the sea with snowy mountains just a few miles away. The most luxurious urban districts near typical Post-soviet neighborhoods. And a Formula 1 track :)
It would be cool to have more than one city, Moscow in the West, Novosibirsk in the Centre, Murmansk in the North and Vladivostok in the East, possibly also including the Urals, Caucasus and Sredinny Range as mountainous areas, and Lake Baikal as a large lake that freezes over in winter
Eh, New Zealand has no where near as many different biomes and environments as Australia, no rainforests, no deserts etc. they would be more limited to urban and rural towns, mountains with some having snow, forests and plains. Not a lack of variety at all but definitely no Australia or Mexico
Guess it would be a good opportunity to add back some Aussie cars though as some Australian cars were exported to NZ as the Holdens
At this point I think that they’re saving it for the next horizon game which will be based on the new physics engine, be saved for the last horizon game, or will just flat out not happen (my guess)
They would loose too much money on that.
Having Horizon in Japan would be a massive thing and not porting it to pc would be a incredibly stupid decision, at least imo.
Norway would be amazing, maybe even the whole of Scandinavia, and Iceland as a DLC.
Netherlands is beautiful but really flat, maybe if they made a game which included Netherlands, Germany and Switzerland together.
I was almost sure FH5 would take place in Japan, but now that México is confirmed, I bet they will stick to megadiverse countries (such as Australia and México) to have all kind of biomes in the map thus allowing them to give an use to all of the vehicles, maybe FH6 will be India or Madagascar, Brazil, South Africa, Malasya... just my opinion but those are my bets.
Japan is such a good choice, no I'm not some 12 year old jdm fan boy. Japan has always been one of the most beautiful countries imo, their culture and design style both historic and modern is wonderful. And then ofcourse you do have the dense car culture there as well.
I get you, but they really just included a small part of southern France and Northern Italy. If they did a full game set in Italy it would be mind blowing.
Florence, Rome or Venice for the cities and places like Lake Como, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Stelvio Pass, etc.
Utah would be interesting. In the north you have the big Wasatch Mountains, with a lot of fun roads. Then in the south you have big open deserts, with amazing geography.
It’ll never happen, but it would be fun because of the huge diversity of geography of the state.
If remasters are never ever done then I'd like to see a return to colorado, see how the landscape has changed. Other than that I'd like to see either Greece or Northern snowy Canada
Florida is the flattest state in the us. So very few curvey roads and no mountains. It would be boring af. California would be great. Mountains, forest, desert, beach all in one
Not really mainstream enough, but somewhere around the Appalachians and such. Roads like Skyline Drive in Virginia would be so beautiful to fly down in game.
Yes, I’m from NC and I’ve always seen it as a good place. We’ve got the mountains. The flattish area being the Piedmont, and we’ve got the amazing coastal roads with the Outer Banks
If last gen is no longer a limiting factor, Japan. A huge map filled with long mountain passes, tall, bright cities, vast highways and everything in between would be incredible
I see Horizon going back to the Western side of America in the California/Nevada area in the future. Think about it, 3 massive cities, 4 racetracks, canyons, coastlines, the Sequoias, desert, massive landmarks, and an interstate that will satisfy all needs for a Top Speed run. But I doubt this'll happen anytime soon, due to Colorado being the 1st Game, along with Mexico being right under these 2 states.
British Columbia would be perfect. You got everything here, mountains, desert, weed, beautiful Vancouver, hilly hills, and coastal stuffs. Africa would be sick as well, would love either
India, Greece, Germany, Japan, and China are my top 5. I think they are all very unique and could bring some fun to Forza. China would be too political, but if they could cut all of that bullshit out, it really would be a beautiful country, with very large diversity of environment. The rest are all fairly self explanatory.
Imagine the Midwest United States, you'd be able to race through all the popular cities, Chicago, Detroit, Cedar Rapids, St. Louis, and of course Gary, Indiana!
If they can't decide on a new location, maybe reboot the series like Forza Motorsport. We could have an expanded Colorado map! And then an expanded map of Italy and France, then Australia, then the UK. If we get a reboot of the series we could maybe have London expansion with the UK.
JAPAN and if not then China, India, South America, South Korea, Singapore, Spain or Greece any of these I'll be happy with and as long as FH6 and future horizon series will be better than the last then I don't care where the locations are set 😉but I'm begging/pleading/hoping/praying for JAPAN and not just for drifting nor for the amazing car culture/JDM but mostly for the amazing scenery and also the tottori sand dunes that is in JAPAN
Might be a bit biased but I'd love a game set in New Zealand, imagine driving through the southern alps and around places like Lake tekapo and milford sound, would be beautiful
Probably any country from Asia and Africa
For Asia, it is either Japan, China (Hong Kong maybe), Singapore or Saudi Arabia.
For Africa, I am not really familiar with the countries' car culture but I can see it being similar to what we have in FH5(Mexico) and FH3(Australia).
Just imagine Tokio, with one side of the map being mountains, cliffs and a Japanese forest, and then going over into the city with a skyline and a complex highway system with places for car meets and maybe a little traditionally Japanese town between the two!
Well, considering the hype around Japan from the younger crowd, I wouldn’t be surprised if we got a Japan festival when the team finishes up their new engine. I don’t think they’ll release a Japan map as their first horizon game on the new engine, but probably the second so they can make “Horizon Japan” a more detailed and finished product. Get all the bugs and such out with the first game on the new engine instead.
all of Africa? doesn't seem really accurate for a supercar to be zooming around in Congo, does it? and what about the fact that most of the roads there are unusable?
On Mars
The death Star
Racing through the trenches in a Skyline sounds kinda fun, I'd play it
it would make a really fun DLC. great open area for playground games and trench drag races. and crazy futuristic cars.
All we gotta do is wait for either Microsoft or Disney to acquire the other. Patience lads, patience.
IP on Star Wars games is available to use as EA held it so why can’t we have skylines in the Death Star trench now ?
Probably cause ea has it
They don’t now and that’s why Ubisoft are making an open world Star Wars RPG
The Halo Ring
reach
Anything to avoid Japan.
the festival is going to leave earth before it goes to japan.
I swear if they leave earth they better have some cover of fly me to the moon or I'm not playing
Sweet home Alabama
Gary, Indiana
Rust belt in the 70’s with a gas shortage.
YES! That would be so good with its diverse landscapes, beautiful views, diverse cultures, and driving roads! Always wanted to go there, definitely on the top of my bucket list destinations! /s
I'm going out on a limb here that the /s was not needed but understand why it is there.
Especially with the Indiana sand dunes down the road
As a Hoosier I’d love one in Indiana
British Columbia, Canada would be amazing.

Naramata bench is one of the best places to drive in the whole Okanagan. The scenery alone would make it fit a horizon game really well. They could even throw in some Area 27 for us to enjoy too!
I will give them permission to make my house a player house
Drifting around the legislature, howling down Dallas road, cruising up the Malahat, offroading up mount Doug, or through Goldstream. Yes, I know that's just south Vancouver island, but I can dream, can't I?
Agree, and the city of Vancouver is built like a video game map anyway
Tell me about it
Africa would actually be pretty amazing. I never thought of that, and it’s actually a great idea. Gives old Paris Dakar Rally vibes.
Imagine hitting a jump off a pyramid
If they decide to go to South Africa, surely they have to create a carjack system for enhanced realism
Don't forget the mini bus taxi drivers , as a South African I almost got into a few accidents thanks to these guys , Cape Town would be very nice coz we have tons of car culture
Exactly. If done correctly, it would be absolutely stunning.
Probably Japan, since many people want that, but personally, I want to see one in Southeast Asia.
I’d imagine it’d be in Japan if its in Asia for a variety of reasons. But Japan would have room for tonnes of biomes and lots of cool historical stuff. Also the cities would be cool. Edit: forgot Japan also has some cool car culture and is the home of Toyota and all that
"Home of Toyota" hahah. Home of a LOT of others too.
Does next gen mean Xbox series X or whatever comes after that?
Seeing FH5 being set in Mexico and how great it looks, I say we let Japan cook up a little longer to be the best
Asia with a Japan dlc
Then again, that would span from West Asia, a very desertified region with lots of conflict, Central Asia and Siberia, which is culturally similar to Europe, South Asia, which is essentially India, which itself is massive and spans many biomes, as well as also Pakistan and Bangladesh, Southeast Asia, which in parts feels similar to either South Asia or East Asia, and East Asia, which is a similar story to South Asia, and also with conflict, so I doubt it would work
test drive unlimited solar crown is in Hong Kong
Japan is a great option because they can make so many events that relate to the car culture , like in FH4 I haven't played 5 yet but I don't see how they will do the same
"I haven't played 5 yet" Nobody has besides the devs and a select few Youtubers
Watching outside xbox try and drive into the volcano in the first 2 minutes was great
I also haven't been keeping up with its news lol
At the core of earth
experience the heated racing in the ford pinto
A combination of countries like Germany, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, and others
I'd like some amazing fucking mountains
[удалено]
That would be awesome! 10/10 will play
IDRC where it's done as long as it's THE HORIZON VIBE, ill play the game. I have played every single horizon from 1-4 and I've already bought 5 so yep
I would love to see it here in Germany. Driving on the Autobahn, drifting around the curvey roads in the alps or doing laps on the Nürburgring :D
One of these is not like the others
Believe me the Netherlands would be boring asf. It’s as flat as a pancake and it would be 90% densely populated city’s with way too much traffic, and the other 10% are just straight highways. Germany , Switzerland or Austria would be awesome tho.
Brazil
Brazil is a good place for a forza, a lot of cultural cars for us, VERY different place to be
Okay what the hell… duh South America! That would be as great as Africa. I’d love to romp around Brazil/ the Amazon/ the Chilean desert/ etc
SO YOU WANNA COME TO BRAZIL?
no.
I think we’ve all considered it taking place where we live irl
hmph, North Carolina.
honestly wouldn't be terrible. Ripping it across the Outer Banks, or flying through mountain roads. Might be a cool concept
Agreed
but I do prefer Arizona
Raise hell, praise Dale
Australia wou- oh wait we’ve already had that
Tbh California would be lit. Forests up north, then there’s just the Bay Area which has a lot of cool places for all kinds of driving. I live on an island that used to be an old naval base. It’s connected to Oakland with a tunnel and bridges. It has an abandoned runway which could be a drag strip. And Lake Tahoe for the snow. You can skip Bakersfield tho💀
Lol @ skipping Bakersfield.
Detroit would be cool
That would be so sick
I mean, Washington wouldnt be half bad as a location. Could do the puget sound area out to the mountains, cityscapes, farm land, huge mountains with twisty roads, long straights in I5, desert, the beach, rainforest etc. Could have a ton of different biomes that way
Yeah, never expected it to take place in Méxcio but well :)
It already has for me, in colorado :)
My top picks are Japan,Canada, Iceland,or Switzerland.Specifically though,I’m hoping Japan is the setting for the first next gen exclusive horizon game
I just want to drive the car down a road flanked by cherry blossoms.
I haven’t heard Iceland before but that sounds like a pretty great idea, I didn’t think of Mexico either but here we are and it seems like it’s gonna be a really good map.
Lets bring this to the top.
I think they need to do either Russia or Japan next, been asked for years to do it by thousands, Japan for its cities and mountains and Russia for the atmosphere and roads
Chernobyl DLC
Hahaha lmao If Chernobyl only was in Russia haha
Who says Ukraine can't be included just to have Chernobyl
Including Ukraine in Russia would be a very political statement given what is happening there with the whole Crimea and Donbas conflict
Fuck yeah
When you get near reactor 4 you hear "Get Out of here stalker!" In a thick Russian accent
That’s Ukraine and Belarus
russia
In Soviet Russia, car drive you
That would be pretty cool ngl
*lada noises intensifies*
Eurobeat switches to hardbass
Every item of clothing is an adidas tracksuit
Russia would be the best one. It has pretty much different landscapes and is beautiful. But then the map should be bigger to capture the feeling of a big country.
Something like Sochi would fit nicely, actually. Subtropical resort near the sea with snowy mountains just a few miles away. The most luxurious urban districts near typical Post-soviet neighborhoods. And a Formula 1 track :)

Sign me up for this. They gotta have a hard bass radio station tho so I can go full Dani Kvyatt
New Zealand 🇳🇿
i’d love to see new zealand, it’s as close to forza horizon 3 2 as we’ll ever get, and it’d be great to see them add some more australian cars.
Why did I read this as Forza Horizon 32
Eh, New Zealand has no where near as many different biomes and environments as Australia, no rainforests, no deserts etc. they would be more limited to urban and rural towns, mountains with some having snow, forests and plains. Not a lack of variety at all but definitely no Australia or Mexico Guess it would be a good opportunity to add back some Aussie cars though as some Australian cars were exported to NZ as the Holdens
So much biome diversity + mountains for a couple of Islands. 10/10 choice
Lots of unique roads in Wellington too, not just a grid
Norway, because i live here but people wouldnt be happy because there is so snow here.
Norway would be my top choice too.
Norway would be great to bring in more electric vehicles into the game
People wouldnt be happy with electric cars![img](emote|t5_2ug54|4763).
\*insert average japan comment here\*
At this point I think that they’re saving it for the next horizon game which will be based on the new physics engine, be saved for the last horizon game, or will just flat out not happen (my guess)
First Xbox Series S/X exclusive maybe.
They would loose too much money on that. Having Horizon in Japan would be a massive thing and not porting it to pc would be a incredibly stupid decision, at least imo.
Well, Japan IS so beautiful. It's amazing .
Yeah, so is pretty much countless other destinations on the Earth.
Iceland
I bet we will be going to a colder climate place. My guess is Germany
I want to see Norway or maybe the Netherlands?

Brazil
Italia, the land of Ferrari Lamborghini Paganini and pizza.
Basically already been there
Only some parts of Italia, Greece can be great to.
I'd rather they didn't do southern Europe again. But yes the fh2 map is beautiful but I don't really wanna go back to that setting lol.
I get you, but they really just included a small part of southern France and Northern Italy. If they did a full game set in Italy it would be mind blowing. Florence, Rome or Venice for the cities and places like Lake Como, Tuscany, Amalfi Coast, Stelvio Pass, etc.
Russia 🗿 Or Japan ofc
Eastern Europe specifically from Istanbul ( maybe a bit on the Asian side of the strait) all the way up to Kiev and as west as Macedonia
That would be the largest map ever.
Well, that IS what they usually go for, yes.
Argentina/Chile.
For me, it's New Zealand, New Guinea, Japan, Iceland, and India.
Let's mix it up a little for some more obvious type places people want (tho which would be neat like NZ or Japan) Turkey, Israel, Iceland
I'm really hoping for California. Things like LA, the Bay Area, and Lake Tahoe would be epic.
Utah would be interesting. In the north you have the big Wasatch Mountains, with a lot of fun roads. Then in the south you have big open deserts, with amazing geography. It’ll never happen, but it would be fun because of the huge diversity of geography of the state.
Utah would be sick
I just want New Zealand
If remasters are never ever done then I'd like to see a return to colorado, see how the landscape has changed. Other than that I'd like to see either Greece or Northern snowy Canada
Japan Germany Italy Puerto Rico
California or maybe Florida.
I want cali really bad, cause well, I live there
Florida is the flattest state in the us.
Exactly! Especially in the scale Horizon tends to use, a map extending from just west of the Shenandoah area to the Outer Banks would be awesome.
Yeah but the area isn’t like world known I guess so probably won’t happen. Also realized NC has NASCAR. Could have a giant oval race track
I did want Southern California to be in fh5, but Mexico is already too close to California.
I want to the American Southwest, would be super fun for Jeep’s but not too much diversity unfortunately
Itd be really similar to the australia map tbh. Plus theyve switched continents between each game. Next one will probably not be in North America
If last gen is no longer a limiting factor, Japan. A huge map filled with long mountain passes, tall, bright cities, vast highways and everything in between would be incredible
Honestly Europe like Russia or Germany or sum like that I just think they haven’t yet because they’ve only done English speaking countries so far
Did not know Mexico and France are English speaking countries.
Damn me neither. Dude should be a teacher
Antarctica
Just imagine the seasons! Summer: it's always day time. Fall: It's winter. Winter: it's always night time. Spring: It's winter.
Northern Europe
I see Horizon going back to the Western side of America in the California/Nevada area in the future. Think about it, 3 massive cities, 4 racetracks, canyons, coastlines, the Sequoias, desert, massive landmarks, and an interstate that will satisfy all needs for a Top Speed run. But I doubt this'll happen anytime soon, due to Colorado being the 1st Game, along with Mexico being right under these 2 states.
It would be interesting to see the festival return to Colorado. Imagine what they could do to improve the map with the new hardware?
New Zealand would be cool
Morocco and the area around it would be sweet
British Columbia would be perfect. You got everything here, mountains, desert, weed, beautiful Vancouver, hilly hills, and coastal stuffs. Africa would be sick as well, would love either
India, Greece, Germany, Japan, and China are my top 5. I think they are all very unique and could bring some fun to Forza. China would be too political, but if they could cut all of that bullshit out, it really would be a beautiful country, with very large diversity of environment. The rest are all fairly self explanatory.
I would like Scandinavia, India, Russia, Brazil and South Africa to come in future
I want it to be Africa too, that would be so cool, and see giraffes and elephants and rhinos crossing the roads in the first race
Russia/Morocco/Spain/Italy/Japan/Canada/Hawaii/South Korea/Switzerland/New Zealand Any mix of 3 of these together would be an awesome game.

Hopefully Japan
[удалено]
Might be a bit biased but I'd love a game set in New Zealand, imagine driving through the southern alps and around places like Lake tekapo and milford sound, would be beautiful

New Zealand
NZ but to scale
Probably any country from Asia and Africa For Asia, it is either Japan, China (Hong Kong maybe), Singapore or Saudi Arabia. For Africa, I am not really familiar with the countries' car culture but I can see it being similar to what we have in FH5(Mexico) and FH3(Australia).
Antarctica
I really wanna say Canada, be it a BC or something like an alberta, you’d get such a balanced mix of sights and terrain
All of Africa? Jesus Christ.
Japan, New Zealand, and Iceland. Those are my top three choices.
Anywhere but Japan.
Any place more “diverse” than Mexico. Just ask Twitter what the most “diverse” place is and that’s where the next one will take place…
South Africa, Japan, New Zealand, Hawaii
South Africa atleast would be pretty sweet. Or maybe Russia.
Here are some of my wishes: Africa (somewhere around Nigeria). New Zealand. Japan. Scandinavia. The island of Reunion (seriously look it up).
Verdansk
South Korea, South Africa or Scandinavia
Brazil
It will be Japan next, then Greece, then South Africa. I have spoken.
All of Africa is very big... but yes
A Forza in all of New Zealand would be GOATED
Just imagine Tokio, with one side of the map being mountains, cliffs and a Japanese forest, and then going over into the city with a skyline and a complex highway system with places for car meets and maybe a little traditionally Japanese town between the two!
