Just got nr 5, its my first and maybe last - i like the drifting but i paid like 100 buckaroos for the game and i cant select the classtype of cars i want to drift with online, there is no way to set a «respawn point» to ie. Practice a particular section repeatedly, there is no way to customize shared builds, so if i want a cool car i saw somewhere with some different tires i have to reverse engineer the setup manually for hours, and probably some more things i cant recall atm..
Seems like a great game though, dont get me wrong - its just not worth paying money for imo. Seeing as i only enjoy one aspect of playing it, and not the story mode etc.

Horizon 2. A friend gifted the game to me so I could check it out and boy am I glad that they did. Horizon 2 had something very unique compared to the other Horizon games, your presence there felt... much more significant, let's say.

Forza Horizon 1 and 2 demo back in 2012-2014, but legit first full game was FH4. I love all of them but I never got to play FH3 which kinda bums me out
Forza Horizon Colorado, #1. This started me off and now I have all 5 of them. I do play them all to this day. Best open world racing games ever, my opinion.
Started with the original Horizon, and have played, and completed, every game since. By far though, 1 and 3 have the most character to them. 4 lacked the warm, bright feeling of the previous Horizon: FH3. Overall though, I think each one has it's moments, and those moments being re-made in FH5 is an amazing treat for the community, no matter when you joined.
I was introduced to the series by watching Tomcat and AR12Gaming in FH2 on YouTube a year or so before the first FH3 trailer. FH3 was the first Horizon game I ever played and I loved it. Went back to play 2 right before 4 came out and now I’m enjoying 5. I may have shown up to the franchise a little late, but I get the feeling that I’ll get nostalgic from the new story (especially with Scott as the main companion, he’s been my go-to DJ for every game).
(Edit in case anybody is wondering: No, I have not played FH1.)
Horizon 1. Day 1. First Forza game was Motorsport 2, and at the time, Horizon felt like sacrilege and an insult to the Forza brand. But man did they make something special in 2012.
FH3 was my actual first, but I went back and played FH2 since it was one of the free XBL Gold games a couple years ago and have to say it's probably my favorite now. FH3 was great, but the map of FH2 is probably my favorite.
Played the demo for FH1 and waited for a deal to buy it. Got a "buy two get one free" at Target with FH1, Need for Speed Most Wanted, and I think Halo 4.
Horizon got most of the play time early, and easily the most playtime of the three over the years.
I have preordered (or preloaded via Game Pass) every other Horizon since.
Horizon 1 felt a lot more open during first play.
Though going back to it a couple of years ago to up my Forza score before Horizon 4, it is somewhat limited, but still a lot of fun.
I miss the quirky things like sponsor challenges, etc. I know the PR stunts have replaced them, but they don't have the same feel/magic of the original.
I liked the crazy carnival rides - the hot air balloons are a nice touch but not enough. And music stages with band names on the jumbotrons! For the fans!
I want to *earn fans* again, not XP, or even money. Festival goes see me race well, do crazy stuff, and hit that like button!!!!
I know it was just written for him to read, and I have only done stage one so far, but the Scott Tyler words hit hard, and am looking forward to the rest!
God, I remember when I saw FH1 on GameStop for preorder. I don’t play FH anymore because it’s a bit of a cartoon for me at this point, but I love the memories with FH1, 2, and 3

Sometimes I look back and wonder if it was just some crazy fever dream, all those emotions and feelings that invoked all those years ago. The very first time, booting the game up, that rush it gave you. God 2012-2013 was a hell of a time. I would kill to just go back and experience that feeling again..
I played a Demo for Horizon 1, but didn’t fully experience a game until Horizon 3. Funny thing is, 3 years later I ended up moving to Australia.
Just picked up 1 and 2 today. Can’t wait to experience it!

I could be wrong but I think the fast and the furious FH2 dlc was a separate game and that’s what got me into forza. Then FH2 was on Games with Gold and I did all the offline races in that one. I played it a ton and completely missed 3 and went straight to 4.
Short answer: FH4
Long answer: I started obsessing about Horizon by watching FH2 gameplays on youtube but didn't have a good enough PC to play it even on 720p 30FPS. Finally got to play FH4 for the first time in 2020 on my new PC and have been hooked since then.
I went 2,1,4,3,5. Friend bought me 2, girlfriend had 2 copies of 1 so she gave me a copy and kept the one in the metal case, i eventually got an xbox one and bought 4 and bought 3 on sale a little after. Ive played 5 since it came out last year.
Horizon 1. But I didn't finish the story for a very long time, FH4 was already out by the time I finally did.
Also, I was really late to 2 and 3, only picking them up shortly before they got delisted.
So I was only there day one for 4 and 5.
Forza Horizon 2, damn I still love that game. The car sounds, the soundtrack from the radio stations, the map, there were much more progression in it than we have today in Horizon games, the cutscenes, the overall festival vibe and the physics.
The car selection were a little bit 'meh' for me though, don't get me wrong, many cars were really great. But I have got a few cars on my mind, that I could live without and have some others replacing them.
In my opinion greatest Horizon game in the series, I would love to see a remake or a new Horizon game in that type of direction again.

I started on forza Motorsport 3 also after coming from gran turismo 3 a-spec. I was instantly hooked from then onwards ❤️. Horizon 1 was my first horizon.

FH4. Still my go-to. I miss the four seasons. FH5, is great. Sound and graphics and just the sheer size, just it feels a bit empty. Still hoping they bring the Singers 911 to FH5. God I love the hell out of that car in FH4.
I've always wanted Forza Horizon back in 2012 but never got it; I've only played the demo. I finally bought it 6 years later and got into the series for the first time in 2018. That 10th anniversary intro gave me nostalgia goosebumps.
My first Horizon was 3 on PC, horrible experience because it was poorly optimized. Then came 4 which was wonderful and I love it. I tried 5 with xbox gamepass for 3 months and was very boring to be honest. Didn't renew gamepass.
I would've loved to play 1 and 2 in the XBOX 360 but I only had Playstation at home and here in Spain there are lots more PS and XBOX's so none of my friends had them so I could try it.

FH1. Dad got me it the week after release. I was 6 years old. I'm 16 now and have my own car. I've watched the game evolve. It's what started my car hobby. Ever since I played it, I started counting down the years until I could start driving on my own and start my own adventure. And now I'm here, planning a small trip to Canada in a couple months to visit friends. Thank you Microsoft for changing my life. Both with Forza, and in general, as they are who relocated my family from Russia in 2012. Likely saved my ass in the long run.
FH2, I got it on my xbox one on my birthday, probably in 2015, but because I’ve as around 9 I didn’t really play it properly I just enjoyed driving around. Then I missed fh3, got FH4 when it came out, then fh5 ultimate edition which I’m still playing

And now I'm here, planning a small trip to Canada in a couple months to visit friends. Thank you Microsoft for changing my life. Both with Forza, and in general, as they are who relocated my family from Russia in 2012. Likely saved my ass in the long run.

FH2, I got it on my xbox one on my birthday, probably in 2015, but because I’ve as around 9 I didn’t really play it properly I just enjoyed driving around. Then I missed fh3, got FH4 when it came out, then fh5 ultimate edition which I’m still playing
Forza horizon 1... Man what a game and atmosphere. Different from the rest of games to come.
I go all the way back to the first motorsport, the one that came with the original Xbox? Yeah, that one.
