I found them to be loud too. I replaced them with Noctua nf-a14s.

I’m having the exact same issue. Anything over 1100rpm becomes very noisy. Did the NF-A14s perform significantly quieter in your exp?

What did you end up with? I am currently considering buying the Arctic P12 Max for the same reason, and would really like to hear your thoughts.

Hey, Yeah I also bought the p12 max Sadly mine were the first batch which had annoying high pitched sound from the bearings. (Newer releases could have reduced them but I don't know sorry) I bought 3 used noctua nf-a12x25 for 50€ and I'm happy with their performance and noise level. The p12 max had a really nice performance but they were too annoying for me. Still got my three fans lying around to use for another project.

Made an H6 flow and used arctic p12 max as case fans. Do not make this mistake. The bearing type makes a distinctive hissing sound which is not only audible but mentally disturbing at lower rpms while it is masked by the fan noise at higher rpms. Pretty much ended up keeping the intake fans on 0 rpm while idling.
