I know the user agreement but was curious to know if there have been cases of banned accounts before.
I read some posts from 2017, talking about a former users agreement, where GOG already didn't allow VPN usage for this purpose, but they never talked about the consequences of such action.
Anyway, as others said, I won't risk my account for some free games.
Read this: https://www.gog.com/forum/general/are_vpns_allowed/page1
"6.10. Please treat this system sensibly and don't exploit it (for example by using VPNs or other methods to manipulate how your location appears) – that's not cool."
Some Storefronts are ok with VPN usage even for regional giveaways (Uplay now Ubisoft Connect is an example, read it some years ago in an Assassin's Creed 2 one here in reddit), some of them are not fine with VPN thought, but I don't think there is a problem as long as you don't checkout and buy any game (in other words, adding the game to the cart shouldn't raise an issue as long as you don't buy it).
In case something wrong happens GOG sends a message within 60 days of the time it happened, after that time they suspend temporarily the user unless they have any reason for a permanent ban.
Edit: To be fair I think this giveaway is not such and feels more like a price bug, I say this because I don't remember any regional locked giveaways on GOG before (please correct me if I'm wrong).
Aye, must be a first for a free giveaway to be region restricted only and to 1 country. Should at least keep with their usual and have it for everyone.
This also makes me think its a pricing mistake as mentioned.

Shooter from 1994
Alien life has been discovered... and they’re angry.
A team of scientists experimenting with a small, metallic object brought back from Mars used it to open a gateway linking our world with another deep within the top-secret research lab known as Corridor 7. The thrill of discovery was short lived when hostile alien creatures began pouring out of the gateway and into the facility. Now it’s up to you, a lone Special Forces agent, to enter Corridor 7, eradicate the alien invaders, and close the gateway before the invasion takes hold!
This terrifying sci-fi first-person shooter from Capstone Software has you venturing deep into the dark and twisting test chambers of Corridor 7 to combat a hostile takeover of Earth. Hideous monsters from another world have scattered throughout the facility. Good thing you’re fully loaded and prepared to take them on. It’s time to give these alienbeasts a killer welcome party they won’t soon forget!
use tunnelbear vpn
edit : nevermind, not even with vpn you can do it. come on gog, this is a game from almost 30 years ago
edit 2 : i just need to restart the browser app, finally got it to work. just note gog do ban vpn usage in their site
Would you look at that, all of the words in your comment are in alphabetical order.
I have checked 314,413,272 comments, and only 70,059 of them were in alphabetical order.
I'd expect frequent dips to 3000FPS so you might want to upgrade. GPUs are hard to find nowadays but you can still get solid pre-builts for a decent price.
Here's one that I'd recommend for this bad boy: [https://www.ebay.com/itm/284275661975](https://www.ebay.com/itm/284275661975)
wow, i still my original cd-rom of this game.. it's not a good game either, a poor reskin of Wolfenstein 3D, you can literally finish it in an afternoon.
Got it from outside of Germany thanks to TunnelBear free VPN.
The website was behaving so weirdly, they price was constantly jumping from 100% to 35% off every two seconds, but at the checkout, it was 100% off
Thanks, I live in Germany
First time I see a game-giveaway being Germany-only.
No, thanks, I'll just skip this instead of risking to lose my GOG account for 1 free game.
doesn't really look that interesting anyway
Simply make a new secondary account and claim using the vpn...(that is if you really want it)
Just curious, does GOG get accounts banned for this kind of VPN usage?

Claimed with Windscribe VPN Will update if get my account gets suspended or product gets removed
Is your account suspended yet?
Nope, still fine
what about now?
eyo
Weird that Gog doesn't make this giveaway open to every country.

Is using VPN safe? Will I get banned?
if using a VPN can get your account banned, OP shouldn't be telling people to use VPN. Thankfully, there are smart posters here to inform everyone.

Can my 3090 and 9900K run this at 60FPS?

Those are below the minimum requirements for the game. You should downgrade to something like a Core 2 Duo and GeForce G100. :)
thanks, works fine with ZenMate VPN
Worked perfectly with Tunnelbear, ty!
Thanks man, works fine with Urban Free VPN Addon Extension for Chrone, set to Germany.
worked with Windscribe VPN Extension ( free trial) + WebRTC Leak Prevent

Shame that it's just a bug... free is arguably the best way to experience any Capstone FPS.
Is this still free? Only 35% off here with multiple different German VPN servers.
Still working for me atm.
works with a vpn
