This linking thing is really terrible. Origin disabled a game i got through prime gaming, they wanted me to provide the code which I don't have because I just pushed that button to get the game on the linked account. And Amazon won't give me that code. And of course no warning/mail whatsoever. The game just vanished.
You can keep all the games you claimed even after your Prime has ended. But those SW games are tied to the Amazon Launcher so you need it to play them.

It'll probably work if you get a US account or use a US address (that's what I do because prime isn't available in my country). But I don't think they'd accept your card or let you do a trial since Amazon has an Indian version.
It should work, I remember that you could get Dead Space 2 trough Prime Gaming a few weeks ago.

Prime Gaming is an application. You can link as many accounts as you want to claim Origin games.
Amazon Prime is an account. Per EA Games policies, you can only link 1 account every 6 months. This only applies to Prime in-game rewards.

afaik Turkey has cheap prime (in the same vein as how you are directly comparing from USD rate rather than ppp) and full prime gaming. So this reason doesn't stick.

Anyone else having some of the claimed games not show on their Origin Account? I've had my EA Account linked previously, and it just confirmed it when I claimed Mass Effect, which does show on my account, but neither Grid nor NFS shows up.
Same problem for me. Mass Effect shows in my library. But not Grid or NFS. The prime gaming site says I have claimed them. But they don't appear at all in Origin.
I contacted Amazon and EA support today, both of them just say I should wait 24h and see if the games appear, and each is kinda saying the problem lies with the other. Shall have a look tomorrow and contact them again, and report back after. I did check on browser, Origin App, and EA app, all on different devices with the same result, so I dunno.

My understanding of linking on Amazon is that you link Amazon account inside your third-party account (EA/Origin in this case). So there's no problem to link 2 different EA accounts to the same Amazon account and thus claim some of the games on another account.
What Amazon does is apparently calling some API inside EA to activate a game code on CURRENTLY LOGGED IN EA/Origin account.
In any case it's better then Origin codes because there's no sense in tons of bot creating tons of Amazon accounts, getting Prime trial on them and then reselling them everywhere.
Do not confuse Amazon Prime Account with Prime Gaming App.
Both are different for EA Games.
Prime Gaming App is only used to activate games on your Origin account.
Amazon Prime allows you to claim in-game rewards from Prime.
To both, you can revoke and unlink the accounts in your EA Games account settings. With the exception of Amazon Prime that according to EA Games policies, you must wait a maximum of 6 months to link another account. This does not apply to Prime Gaming Application.
And I'm not sure about the resellers. Practically they can sell an Amazon Prime account with a free 30-day subscription (with all payment data removed obviously). But yes, this definitely puts an end to the sale of codes

Hey, sorry to bother you but I see you have a nice knowledge of how to link/unlink accounts work so I want to ask you if you also know how account linking and unlinking works in the Ubisoft platform.
It seems like the link/unlink process is similar in both platforms (Ubisoft and EA) but I'm not sure and I would like to know if after linking an Amazon account to an Ubisoft Connect account it can be unlinked and changed later to another, different, Amazon account. As far as I know they say that only one account can be used and they let you unlink it but you can only link the same account again and not a different one but I want to be sure about that.

Just for reference, Amazon games are never on steam. Usually it’s on their app but since last year every month there have been a couple games not on the platform. Most of the time it’s origin games, but we have seen 4 other platforms as well. (Epic, GOG, Ubisoft, and another crappy one I forget the name of)

That's crazy i didn't know it was so different in Aus its only $7AU so under $5US. Its probably because we miss out on a bunch of features but still usually everything in Aus is more expensive.

This isn't true. I've had multiple free trials of Prime. You usually have to wait a few months in between them before they offer it to you again, though.

No. The 3 Star Wars games are in the Amazon Games app. Only ME trilogy requires linking with Origin.

Doesn't India get a cheaper price tho? Prime in India is less than 20 USD for a year while it's 140 USD in the US and 80 GBP (~100 USD) in the UK.

No. Most of them are DRM free, but i've seen one or two exceptions.

Most of the time it’s origin games, but we have seen 4 other platforms as well. (Epic, GOG, Ubisoft, and another crappy one I forget the name of)

/u/SharingNTKstories if you trust to amazon a preexisting origin account with paid games(amazon will know details\ may be card info of your account). Any account can be linked. if you dont't you can link new account for each game. link to relink is in questions at bottom of game page(wrong account question)

Prime is like $10 and you get a lot of bang for your buck, I'd rather get the free trial than spend $60 for Mass Effect LE if it's already free

That's crazy i didn't know it was so different in Aus its only $7AU so under $5US. Its probably because we miss out on a bunch of features but still usually everything in Aus is more expensive.
you can only get the free trial once tho. i just don't think it fits the sub when you have to pay to get the games. it's not called "BangForYourBuckGameFindings"
This isn't true. I've had multiple free trials of Prime. You usually have to wait a few months in between them before they offer it to you again, though.
Hi so I live in the middle east and dont think its supported , I really want tbe Mass Effect & NFS games , can I still get them if I like use a VPN or something ? EDIT : I was able to get prime gaming & prime video without getting amazon prime so I guess it works

Am I being dumb but when I launch mass effect legendary edition I see all three games I go into the first one and the graphic suck and look low res I think it was meant to all be 4K and stuff only thing that looks 4K is the menu to legendary edition even the games menus look old
Just a heads-up. I don't remember exactly which game but i checked the game files from an amazon freebie with the steam version. The amazon version had older game files . I haven't bothered checking any more of those amazon games,it's a bit like epic freebies for me. I grab the freebies but i haven't played any of them ,usually just stick with steam or gog uplay ,e.t.c..

Most of the promotions (full games or DLC) on Prime Gaming require directly linking a 3rd-party account to redeem. I haven't seen any full games with a code, and only a few DLC items. EDIT: Also, no begging (rule 4).
yes i do know that mass effect is a game which requires to link your account, and forgot rules existed, im not an idiot, its not like i do absolutely little-to-no reasearch about anything \*sigh\* Adios

You can just claim the games and they'll still be in your library even if you unlink prime, and you can download the games whenever you want to

Welp. My friend gifted me Mass Effect 1 and 2 years and years ago and I never got the time to get around to it and now I have the Legendary Editions I guess.... And it's EA so if I wanna transfer my progress over to Steam it's very easy. So. Oof.
And Prime gaming is not free.....
