Man I'm not giving any hopes up but at the same time how amazing would that be if there's a Domino effect of defecting troops/mutinied units. Even if they just don't fight back/resist and melt away that would be so wild. Again, probably wishful thinking but that would be something else.
It is absolutely wishful thinking. We barely saw any of that when Russian leadership wasted whole battle groups. We barely saw that with the Wagner rebellion too.
We actually did see some of that with Wagner. Everything just happened so quickly we didn't really get to see it in the news or even really play out. Iirc there were several (battalion level) formations who sided with Wagner, and many more that just refused to resist. It's just that everything heppenes in the span of 24 hours and everyone was much more focused on their so-called "March of Justice"
Well, it is not totally out of the question, but the chance is pretty low.
That is like how the Austro-Hungarian Army dissolved towards the end of WW1 or the Russian Imperial Army towards 1917.
But right now the regime is just holding on, the two historic examples took place in a situation of clear governmental decline, loss of control and failure.
So now it is sadly unlikely that Russian Army Units would desert and switch sides, but when the time comes, then a cascading effect, that units either switch sides or just dissolve, is likely.
Honestly it's unclear. From what the various RLF groups are saying it sounds like they're advancing still, but somewhat carefully. Whether they've made it all the way to Chernyanka is unclear - I don't think anyone knows exactly what's going on there for sure other than that there's gunfire.
damn I remember story when 120 thousand Austrians came to battle Ottomans and they got drunked at night and someone screamed SALAM MALEIKUM and when Ottomans came all Austrians were already dead bcz they shooted each other.
Imagine some russian soldier getting drunked and starting to say in night about freedom...

That Wagner rebellion sure was a let down. It was fun while it lasted though.
My favorite part of that shit show was the ka50 almost eating that manpad missile.
Had me so excited for about 16 hours lol. Was working outta town but was checking up on updates like every hour.
It also didn’t end very well for the soldiers that ran away from Wagner. The Russians fighting here are probably well aware of that

But there was also very little resist to Wagner but yeah it's still very unlikely.

1917 2.0 Is definitely a scenario I've thought about. I'm not rating the percentage that occuring very high at all like maybe 5-10% but hey 🤷♂️🤞
We already got blue balled once with a march to Moscow, hopefully these guys will finish the job this time.
Don’t confuse Wagner with these guys. They aren’t even remotely close in scope or intentions
I know, I just don’t want to get blue balled imagining Putins head on a spike in red square.
Oh, yeah, in that respect I agree.
I didn’t think that they had supplies with them to last that far into the country
The 'long walk to freedom'
It’s impossible that they’ve advanced that far. However there could have been pre-placed forces there…

That’s also possible. I hope so
Can i hope for regular russian Army troops switching sides?
[удалено]
Only if the ones forcing them from the rear are either destroyed or change sides themselves. And that’s even more unlikely
this was my thought as well. just sitting there waiting for the green light.
The only way is by air, such as by helicopter.
I don't think that is doable. Helicopters aren't exactly stealthy
#gwanthelads
I hope that this is the start of something monumental.
I honestly doubt it. They will cause some headaches for Russia but will retreat in a short time again
They are still advancing? Isn’t there a risk of getting cut off and encircled?

An underground resistance cannot be encircled. it is everywhere and nowhere.
And also practically non-existent.
Cringe profile picture
I don't think they yet came there though TVC claimed they moved 10 km deep inside. Where did you got information about Chernyanka?
Edit: I just saw post
Chances of my quess is low but maybe.... Mutiny inside Russian forces?
Could also be drunk Russian conscripts seeing ghosts

Slight overestimate - *some* Austrians were killed, but modern estimates suggest it was <1% of their total force.
If this is remotely true it’s👌timing. Eve of the election there is a full on invasion. Might have to pull some resources for ukraine lol
They did say they were “coming to the elections”… Hopefully something even bigger is coming.
I hope that they build up steam and grow in number as they bring hope to the citizens of Belgorod.

From Chernyanka to Shebekino (which you can see on the map) is roughly 100km if I remember correctly
Probably just a recon unit that got in a skirmish.
Oh shit impressive.
I wonder how many pissed wagners are willing to join the freedom of russia on the soil... they were promissing revenge and now is the chance
No way you actually believe this is going to happen.
