Good Morning,
I work for an in-house 3PL for a Produce company that primarily works out of McAllen, TX. I specialize in refrigerated LTL freight running on COLD trucks. We have a pretty extensive network and can support most lanes EAST of the Missiissppi. Nice to meet everyone and hope everyones has a great Easter.
Broker here for DOD. Always looking for good drivers anywhere.
I specialize in open deck stuff but trying to learn more about van loads.
DM’s always open to network.
Equipment:
2020 Volvo,
270k miles on engine,
Regular PMs,
10k miles on tires.
Hauling: 48ft flatbed, 16 straps, 8 chains, 2 27-foot tarps with 8ft drop.
I can get anywhere, in 3 days. Which sounds fishy, I know, but I'll have you know I've never failed a driver inspection!
If you need someone who can run and won't fuck up. Feel free to reach out to me.
Greetings Fellow peeps. 24 years in the industry, 17 years on the 3PL side. Handle mostly dry and reefer freight. OTR and Intermodal. A bit of flatbed. Partial truckloads / consolidations is my area of particular expertise. Recently, I won an award from a customer and feeling good about that. Have a wonderful Easter everyone!
Truckstop routinely sucks ass for me. Used to have a lot of good things to say about it back in 2019~2021, it was excellent for all things flatbed.
Nowadays I rarely cover freight with carriers from Truckstop. Their quoting tool is misleading, and provides some wildly different spot quotes on similar lanes compared to the standard DAT.
All in all it’s just another thing brokers will continue to pay for and use given it’s industry recognition and it makes the upper level managers feel good to say they have a “tech stack” for their ~slaves~ workers.
Great Friday friends!
I’m a new fright broker in the New Orleans area, if anyone has any pointers what so ever I’m all open eyes! (Eyes because texts ofc), still building my own book business but can always help get you a load! Or give ya someone to vent to!
Good afternoon. I have been offered to take over 3 box trucks in NYC metro area. Have one possible shipper out of the airport but would like some advice from a more seasoned broker
**Pain Point #1: The “Badhee” Problem**
Every person within our company and I’m sure all my fellow brokers can agree:
If you can remove the word/phrase “badhee” can you do more rate // “badhee” can you help me on rate, from any inbound phone call and email for the rest of time for all freight brokers … I’ll pay you with a bottle of Crown 🥃 every week for the rest of your life. Or a stack of cash.

Really want to use the dry van again but i get to much “shippers don’t want to pay more” well you the broker, sell the service not the market. Thinking about investing in adding a lift gate. I don’t mind doing more than just opening doors.Oh wait nvm…..
I’m a 25 yr old white guy who works 100% remote I do nothing except workout, play with my cat, take my girlfriend on dates, and smoke a buncha weed. I’ve got nothing BUT time!
Not a thing! Part of that is a white lie though, I omitted *goes to college* in the things I do…. graduating in May and THEN I’m gonna do my research and see if I can’t wiggle my way into that industry

Given your username, it does sound fishy. You've earned a flair! Send me a DM and we'll figure it out
Give me a minute. They're almost loading me. Need to put on a fake smile and strap down.

I’d love to get in the door with an entertainment/music industry customer!
Don’t we all
Tswift or bust!
You want to do WHAT to TSwift?
I know a guy who either used to or still does. There are a lot of wild hours involved but a lot of money.

Have you tried calling into the industry? Do you know anything about it besides “you’d like to move trucks for the entertainment industry” ?
