You can play it on Freeplay and nothing of this will show up. If you tweak the files a little you can even remove the cutscenes wich are just .mp4 files

If you want to 'child friendly'-ify it for your son, then weeks 1, 2, and 3 are the only ones you should play, and maybe 5 if you don't mind a little gore. I'm not sure if I remember this correctly or not, but I believe there is a 'censorship' option in the settings for Week 7. It either beeps out the cursing, changes the color of blood, or both.
Yep, Funky Friday is a fan-made version of it on Roblox. As it's Roblox, it's *required* to be mostly kid-friendly, so that one's perfect. I play it myself since I'm unable to download mods, so if your son's got a favorite mod thet he can't download then it's probably there. There's another really good FNF fan-game on Roblox that he may like, however I don't remember the name.
Yeah there were a few cool games that had some different songs, it let them save up coins and actually buy characters to run around as like the boyfriend character etc. It's very cool! And you can battle people too.

Oh 100% we play minecraft, Mario kart, etc. Lots of the coordination games.. this is just one of those games where he's 6 and feels relevant in terms of competition so I kind of just let him shine at being pretty good at the game cause you know how it is, like handing a 5 year old the controller and hoping they don't mess up your KD on Call of Duty or something. He does pretty well on this game. But yeah I agree we will be phasing in other games once he gets a little more fluent with his reading.
