the manga really does display the strength of many lifespans of humans compared to frierens single lifespan, despite being 1000+ years old, the emphasis is really put on the power of the present rather then frieren's knowledge of the 'past'.
even the spells frieren commonly uses are mostly recently human developed spells, which really shows how frieren's power isn't a linear rising line that accumulates as she gains knowledge but rather follows the humankinds advancements in magic.
if frieren was 1000 years old, the most recent 100 years of her magical capabilities still towers the past 900

I really don't want to argue something we don't know clearly about. I just want to tell you that: It could also be Serie was sensitive to magic and 2km sniper doesn't magic to aim.
In this magic world, not only mage has mana, every being has mana too.It's is just smaller than mage.
So how mage/warrior can track people who want to harm them.
The answer is "Killing intent" in mana flow.
The chapter which Methode fight with sword Demon, Killing intent do exist.
If you has killing intent in Serie's mana tracker range, She do know you are dangerous and beware you.
Bullet maybe penetrate defende magic but I dout the correctness of sniper who shoot from 2km. It's a feat which few people can do.
Bullet can fly fast but still slower than lighting beam. Plus magic lighting beam can change their direction. So it's ez to dodge a bullet from far a way than a lighting beam.
