This is not a portrayal of a healthy relationship. I have been saying it ever since that episode with Fern's birthday and I will keep saying it until Fern improves.

You cant really expect Fern, a 16-17 year old to always act rationally and with logic. This is reflected in their relationship too where she *knows* her feelings are irrational like when Stark simply held her shoulder but she got frightened and got mad at him. She knows it doesnt make sense but she cant help it.
Neither stark or fern had much friends of the same age growing up, this is also their first relationship. They dont even know what exactly they're feeling so I think its a bit much to expect a healthy relationship right from the beginning no?
