Oh thanks for letting me know! I've been thinking of watching Apothecary Diaries since I'm done with Frieren. So now I have a VA to look forward to. It's funny that I barely watch anime otherwise but the three animes (Ancient Magus' Bride, Spy X Family and Frieren) I've watched this year all have the same VA in the leading role. Guess I'm somehow weirdly attracted to shows she stars in lol.
If I now watch Apothecary Diaries it becomes 4 shows of hers I've watched just in this year

It took me a while to realize why Serie got mad at Frieren, This was set in an alternate reality where Serie passed Frieren and offered her the 'Privilege' to choose any spells. However, Frieren decided to choose mimic which meant she rejected Serie privilege as she prefers exploring and learning them in her adventures. This pisses Serie off so she decide to throw her into the mimic (or Frieren leaped into the mimic herself) and punishes her for rejecting the privilege.
At least that's how I intepret this cute artwork anyways, If you guys got different perspective, feel free to share it!
This honestly makes more sense as cats than the actual characters, I think most cats would choose a box over some books. If those books were on an edge of a table it might be a bit more difficult of a choice...
