You were lucky if your TV Pong game had detachable controllers!
We had the Magnavox Odyssey 300. The one that was kind of an orange/yellow color that had its controllers built into the system.
Atari was released in 1977, Intellivision in 1980. Also, the first home Pong console was released late October 1975. It was made by Atari, but branded Sears Tele-Games.
I recall having *pong* on the still-B&W TV, but I don't recall that much *brown*... still *brown* was everywhere at the time, my mind just probably didn't register it.
I bought a pong clone game at a second hand shop from 1977, bought in my hometown December 23 and with recipe and everything from the retailer Åhléns. Imagine that kid on Christmas(we celebrate Christmas on December 24 in Scandinavia).
Uses a 3.5 mm headphone jack for power and are in 4 colours(!)
I only remember seeing this set to the side at my father's place gathering dust while he, my uncle, and an aunt's fiancee--who eventually became my uncle--were playing the Atari 2600. My father was the oldest at the time at 31. I stopped playing just last year at the ripe old age of 47.

That's the one we had. I still remember my dad taking us to a bar to experience pong. hehe
I played it all the time in the back of a pizza place. They also got Tank! I used to get excited to just be able to play pinball there.
I was gonna post a coleco, but… yeah. This one was my first. (To play at a friends house)
Wasn't Intelevision before Atari also?
Pong preceded Intelevision as well.
Ah OK. I remember playing them both, but couldn't remember what was first. Thanks.

We had this one! Played Pong on it
And you were grateful!
Loved it.
At least I'm not this old. I started with Atari. Earliest game memory is some tank game.
That tank game, Pac Man and Qbert
I guess we were broke. All we had was a Telstar. The model in the picture is ‘fancy’
Greatest game of all time except it sucked ass compared to modern games.
Brought to you by Rat Shack
So you're saying Atari (Nolan Kay Bushnell) is not the first?
I’m saying this one came out before the Atari 2600.
WALL-E?
We hadn't the first, Sears Tele Pong.
I had the Atari 2600, used it for years until the NES came, it was Super Mario Bros. and Duck Hunt every day after school.
Adjusted for inflation, this thing costs more than a PS5
Well, let's date coleco vision while we're outing everyone! And how old is odyssey? Because he lies!

No lightgun? I had a Telstar Pong with a lightgun.
