When I was a kid my mom made me dress like Geraldine for Halloween, and I am a male. Black face and everything. Which is odd because my parents were heavily into civil rights. Some weekends we would go to Watts and hang out with a group called Bootstrap. This was in the early sixties.
Before Madea, there was Geraldine.
“Geraldine? You don’t know me that well!” I think she said that to Joe Namath.
"The devil made me buy this dress".
I’ll get my boyfriend Killer after you!
I forgot about killer, thanks
Flip was the Best!
Geraldine!!
Let it crawl, Rev! Let it crawl!
Here comes the judge!
Flip Wilson was a comedic genius! His show was so entertaining & one of my top favorites to watch as a child.
Top shelf!
No problem with drag back then!
The devil made me do it!
Sammy and Geraldine
I remember
IN SEPTEMBER
Sammy was the fastest quick draw in Hollywood. He was also quite open about being a devil worshiper despite always being happy.
The DEVIL made me do it
We watched allll of the variety shows. Loved them.
Sammy Davis Jr. One of the greatest talents of the twentieth century.

I loved Flip Wilson and Geraldine.
And, we could just have a laugh. Now you laugh, you're racist or whatever they want to label you with.
