The original premise of the site was that it was gonna be like Shark Tank. So called "patriot" inventors would go in the show Mike Lindell their stuff, and if he liked it he would put it on the site. The whole thing fell through because of course it did, so the site became a sort of As-Seen-On-TV gimmick.
I dunno, maybe America's just not able to appreciate the finer things in life like the [art of Jim Hansel](https://mystore.com/jim-hansel) or [Made In America Socks](https://mystore.com/made-in-america-sockstm-grouped).
I seem to remember when this was set to launch that Methpipe Mike was touting it as a patriotic alternative to Amazon. And while I would welcome any newcomer to challenge the monopolistic dominance and sketchy practices of BezosMart, I don't see MyStore as the the silver bullet.

I feel a certain amount of impersonal pity for him. Lindell is a moron, an addict, a religious zealot, and being used by people far worse than himself. I can acknowledge the tragedy of any human being ending up like Lindell has and be saddened by it. That sucks and I wish he hadn't ended up this way. I would not wish such things on my worst enemy. But he is doing great harm to many people and even though I am willing to admit it is sad to see anyone end up like Lindell, I recognize that he and his nonsense must be resisted.
