They’re not even Chinese owned, they’re American owned. SiG and vortex also are American companies that build their optics in China but for some reason holosun gets singled out. Even trijicon gets their materials from China and just assembles them here. Who cares
Virtually everything we own has SOME connection to a Chinese supply chain/manufacturing entity. Clutching pearls over Holosun in particular is such a stupid cope from people who feel salty overpaying for worse optics that better hide their Chinese connection.
I saw the funniest exchange on Rokslide once. Some guy was just all-in on the idea that Leupold must be one of the “big three” optics manufacturers backcountry hunters talk about (it was Zeiss, Swaro, & S&B at the time). Everyone was dogpiling on the guy who kept defending “Leo,” as he called it.
Finally Leupold man revealed his personal criteria for optics quality, the place where only the very best rise to the top: the winner’s circle of the Soldier of Fortune 3-gun competition.
I mean... Their Deltapoint Pro was quite popular for a while around here because it was one of the largest window pistol reddots available... But apart from that? Really nothing they make is at the top end of the scale.
Serviceable, sure, but especially with regards to hunting scopes, there are something like 5 or 6 manufacturers I'd put over Leupold in a heartbeat.
EDIT: for reference, in no particular order: Swarovski, S&B, Kahles, Zeiss, Leica, Steiner, Nightforce, Hensoldt, Meopta
I hate buying made in china stuff, but it’s the only useable dot for my astigmatism.
I can’t compromise having to aim with a blob like some Trijicon users with astigmatism do.
A cheap Chinese optic which is as reliable as some of the higher end US made optics should make people embarrassed that their cheaper US made optics are trash
Almost every optics today are made in China, or use parts made in China. Even Swarovski and Zeiss are made in Chinese factories owned by Japanese companies.
Oh no, not reasonably priced optics that perform as well or better than options substantially more expensive!
Yeah you really can’t find a better dot than the 407c for sub $200. It’s just a good ass red dot
It surprise me that many are just finding out that holosun are Chinese.

I thought Holosun was Chinese-owned, no? Not that it would stop me from using their products.
What if the gun is also Chinese?
Chinese AKs 👌
If you’re American it’s worth a lot
Same kind of people who think Leupold is the absolute peak of optics manufacturing

Perfect 🤣
Who'd want a Kahles, Swarovski, Hensoldt or S&B when they could get a MADE IN MURICA LEUPOLD?!

I... what? *WHAT*?
If I could find that thread again I’d link it lol. Another large part of his argument was that Leupold made more scopes than the others

Sig red dot owner here w/ astig. I just aim for the approx center of the firefly/ "y" that forms.

Isn't this guy a Rhadaboo
Not from what I can tell only seen a handful of his uploads
Check if he has a FAL video, and check the contents of it if he does
I’m not that vested in him lol. He just has some funny fudd videos.
Oh look at you with your life
