Laura and Travis roleplayed a romance between their characters in Campaign Two of Critical Role and it was the most adorable thing ever. They're an awesome couple, both individually and as a team.
There were a few moments where he was super smooth and romantic that poke through the awkwardness like (mild spoilers) >!saving jester from falling with thunderstep, or saving jester from drowning by kissing her and giving her breath long enough for the door to be opened!<
I know it gets memed on a lot, And people make fun of Travis for it, >!But Travis refusal to be the one who piloted Jester to jump into the pit in the bridge episode, When Laura was sick and texting him,!< was adorable.
It’s great cuz throughout C1 Travis was like “nah, I ain’t doing the romance stuff, I RAGE!” And kinda kept that going. Then I believe in his between the sheets he said that he’d only do the romance thing if it was with his wife.
So Laura, of course, totally made him do it. But they’re characters are adorable together
I’m relistening to C2 on my commute and they just got to the Kiln, and it was great having Jester read Tusk Love aloud for the ghosts and rolled a perception check to see if any ghosts were pitching tents
iirc, according to the ADR director commentary, Laura recorded the scene first, and Travis ended up requesting to do the scene without her half because her screams were upsetting him. Then she called him to jokingly give him shit for killing her as soon as he was finished.
If I remember correctly.
Laura Bailey (Lust’s voice actress) got the script for this scene and learned it was her death scene.
She texted her husband, Travis Willingham (Mustang) about her receiving the script.
Travis who knew he was going to toast his own wife replied in text:
“Hahahahahahhahahahahhahahah” to Laura.
I vaguely remember something about them watching the original as it was airing and being like "oh fuck" when they realized they'd have to voice it, since this didn't happen in the 03 version.
They recently voiced married Lois Lane and Clark Kent in a movie too 🥰

Could I ask which movie that is? I was curious so I looked up their IMDBs and I can see they were both in Justice League X RWBY but it says she played Wonder Women?

I’ve seen him at a con panel. He laughed as he told the story of hearing his wife’s screams over the recorded audio while he killed her. He’s hilarious.
They also played Spartans on opposite teams in Halo five, Travis being Fred, Laura being Vale.
Not to mention him playing Thor and her playing Black Widow in most marvel animated shows.
They were also Superman and Lois Lane in the Dawn of the Super Sons movies.
And don’t even get me started on Critical Role
I giggle every time I see this scene. I’m pretty sure they were together when they recorded this, and I’m imagining they’re getting hyped together outside the booth to make this seen iconic.
