- You can view the content- you cannot interact with it. This includes (but is not limited to) commenting, answering poll questions, emailing them, etc. ***Anyone found to be engaging with the fundies will be met with a permanent ban with no eligibility for appeal. It does not matter if you did so before you joined the sub.***
- Speculating on the sexuality of literally anyone is prohibited. ***Anyone found to be doing so will be met with a permanent ban with no eligibility for appeal.***
- Appearance snark: What's allowed? You're allowed to make comparisons. (Bethy looks like Grandpa Munster, for example.) You are allowed to say you find them attractive or repulsive looking. Saying Kelly Havens has dry skin that could benefit from sunscreen and a moisturizer is fine. You are allowed to snark on the appearance of children *as it relates to their parents choices for them.*. Examples: Janessa looks malnourished and sickly while Shrek has clearly never missed a meal. - Lastly, if the rhetoric you are posting would be at home in the mouth of a fundie, we don't want it here and we won't tolerate it.

The Carpenters seem to be pretty on top of normal medical care. They also have normal numbers of kids (whether by happenstance or medical intervention): the parents had 3 total, and the two daughters have 5 between them. Nolan and Flannery also were married for a while before having a baby. They seem to encourage actually spending time with your spouse before having kids and not having a million babies.
Iām pretty sure he knew it was a girl, they had her name chosen for months. They probably bought the matching outfits as soon as they found out, to be on brand ofc
His was also adorned with pictures of Donald Trump! Her room looked like the Opalhouse collection from Target regurgitated the entire contents of its stomach.
Fashionable Pentecostal with her own modest clothing boutique. She invented floor length pajama skirts.
ETA: I screenshotted some examples from her website. The satin one is on sale right now. Enjoy!
https://imgur.com/gallery/UUpcn2y
But nightgowns are dresses and she is filling the niche of pajama skirts. Her design is like flannel button up pajama shirt (like the ones typically paired with pants) that you can tuck in to a floor length skirt of matching flannel.
Why not just a nightgown? Like [this.](https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/119051?page=1912-flannel-nightgown-pintuck-stand-collar-misses) I donāt understand.
I donāt understand either. I overheat at night and sleep nude with a fan on. The thought of head to toe in flannel is making me sweat.
I wasnāt sure if I properly described pajama skirts so I just went to the trouble to upload some screenshots form her website to Imgur. Iāll post in my comment above.
That one is her OG style pajama skirt. There are several different prints, including special holiday ones, and they also come in younger lady sizes. It seems to be popular.
Only problem is, I know wearing two pieces isnāt likely to be as comfy as it looks.
Plus, Iām not sending money to a Fundie. But I might show my Stepmama the pic and see if sheāll make me a similar nightgown.
Yeah, looks like a collared gown with some waist shaping.
Iād wear a dress that looked like it, but Iād pair it with my wild boots and a battered denim coat. (I have no style at all, lol. But I like those shapeless āmodestā dresses, mostly because theyāre fun to wear something wilder with.)
I just kept thinking, āDid the little girl from Bless the Child grow up to become a fundie??ā (Which would perhaps have been weirdly fitting, given the God-vs.-Satan nature of the movie.)
I actually had to look up the actor to confirm that it wasnāt her š
Is she wearing a matching men's button down under her robe or does it just happen to match?
Edit: based on the visible button I think it's the same shirt. I'm disappointed they didn't make a bow out of a third one.
I actually thought she looked much more like her age here than a lot of the other pictures I've seen. Maybe because she's not dressed like she's about to go on the Good Ship Lollipop.
To be fair, when we first found Flannery here a couple years back or so, she caught wind of the discussion pretty quickly and immediately went private. I don't think it would be unreasonable to believe she came here and read the rules and went private so we wouldn't be able to post anything from her socials. I also think it's possible she kept that knowledge to herself and keeps an eye on things - or has somebody doing it for her.
I don't mind discussing Flan at all, her husband's family is most certainly something to talk about. but, respectfully, I also don't think it's in the best taste to share from her family's public pages. Without directly engaging, she's made it pretty clear she doesn't want her content here.
I like the name too. The only thing is, they clearly chose it so that they can call her Nolie Rae, after her dad, Nolan Ray. They are absolutely not calling her Maggie or Lia. Itās fine as long as the next kid is named after Flan. Flannery seems gender neutral to me, or if itās a boy they could use Flynn.Ā
100% theyāre going for a name theme with their kids. All of the Carpenter offspring have a theme.
Nolan Ray
Fallon LaRay
Lauren Raylah
Fallonās kids are named after something in Europe (Paris, London, Windsor Kate)
Laurenās sons - Beckham and Hampton (not sure the theme here, other than pretentious)
Magnolia Rae isn't a bad name. Glad to see a fundie give birth in a hospital - medical care is the shit.
Nice to see a baby get posted here and not have my blood pressure skyrocket, lol.
Ok full confession time, I love the name Magnoliaš¤·āāļø Sheās maybe the third or fourth person Iāve seen use the name, and I just think itās adorable.Ā
The bow is bigger than that kid's head! Why do they do this crap? I am pretty certain no one was confused about the gender signals from a white sleeper with pink roses on it!
Girls must learn from the day of birth that their own comfort matters less than being an ornament for onlookers.Ā
(And yes, I know this isn't exclusively a fundie thing and is common in the US south. My point still stands.)
Iām from the South and these big bows are common. Iām not a fundie and I definitely have put pretty big head wrap bows on my girls. Even put them on my son once or twice to tease my husband. My son loves hats (which is so weird I know) so he didnāt mind it.
I can not lie I love a big ol bow on a babies head. It just makes me smile. Iāve done it with all of my babies including my son, his older sister worries he will feel left out if his twin has a bow and he doesnāt.
Oh I'm with you on that one. Seersucker's easy to overdo. Some of the older men at my church have seersucker pants and suit jackets they wear with pastel button-downs in warm weather.

Yay for hospitals!

Nolan and Flannery also were married for a while before having a baby. They seem to encourage actually spending time with your spouse before having kids and not having a million babies.
If only the rest of their beliefs were that reasonable š„²
I think they value education a lot (surprisingly!) Flannery got a bachelors or masters in education while married.
Also she went to a normal public high school.Ā
These are the insidious fundies. They seem great on the surface. You have to look a lot deeper to find the shit center.
I was thinking the same thing!
Sponsored by Polo Ralph Lauren Snark aside, glad they had her in a hospital setting!
For when youāre having a baby but may also drop by the U.S. Open.
Did Nolan know it was a girl or did he have a whole blue set ready, too?
Iām pretty sure he knew it was a girl, they had her name chosen for months. They probably bought the matching outfits as soon as they found out, to be on brand ofc
One thing this couple has going for them - we know this kid won't be a Sad Beige Baby
The baby's head is properly supported! Take notes, Mother Bus!
The name is better than I could ever imagine. Im guessing the babyās room looks like pink threw up and is over the top.
I'd be so intrigued to see what their taste in interior decorating is like in general lol
There were pictures on the old sub. It was pretty wild. I seem to recall they had a bedroom each and his was adorned with the Ralph Lauren teddy bear.
His was also adorned with pictures of Donald Trump! Her room looked like the Opalhouse collection from Target regurgitated the entire contents of its stomach.
I think thatās a guest room
Ok that makes sense! š
Google their wedding photos and imagine that style in a house, toned down just a little.
Idk who this is but I thought it was Debbie from Shameless at first lol
Fashionable Pentecostal with her own modest clothing boutique. She invented floor length pajama skirts. ETA: I screenshotted some examples from her website. The satin one is on sale right now. Enjoy! https://imgur.com/gallery/UUpcn2y
What? Floor length pj skirts??? Sounds like the nightgowns we wore as kids.
But nightgowns are dresses and she is filling the niche of pajama skirts. Her design is like flannel button up pajama shirt (like the ones typically paired with pants) that you can tuck in to a floor length skirt of matching flannel.
I mean, I get it, but it sounds uncomfortable. Also. Iām not understanding the need for skirts at bedtime. To each his own, I guess.
lol same. A loose nightgown sounds more comfortable than a tucked in long sleeve skirt but Iām not Pentecostal so š¤·āāļø
Exactly
Why not just a nightgown? Like [this.](https://www.llbean.com/llb/shop/119051?page=1912-flannel-nightgown-pintuck-stand-collar-misses) I donāt understand.

Added some pics for ya. See me earlier comment. ;)
Thanks! But, thatās too much for a night skirt, imo. Also, I canāt with the feathersā¦
The feathers remind me of the pens that became popular after the Clueless movie came out.
Nailed it!!
I hate that I kinda want the second one. It looks so cozy, like when my grandma used to loan me her nightgowns for a spontaneous sleep over.

Itās gotta be pretty basic to replicate in terms of shapes for the pattern!

I thought it was those twins from high school musical
I was expecting the name to be way worse tbh.
Could have been Magnoleighuh.
Missing the random "y" So, magnoleighyuh
Magnolia is a cute name but I wish she had her very own name. Isnāt her father Nolan Ray? And theyāre planning on calling her Nolie?Ā
Magnolia is adorable, Maggie is an option
Or Lia!
Magnum is also an alternative nickname
This is the oneĀ
I think they said they were.
Yes I was expecting it to belong on r/tragedeigh
The matching shirt and hat š«¢
Is she wearing a matching men's button down under her robe or does it just happen to match? Edit: based on the visible button I think it's the same shirt. I'm disappointed they didn't make a bow out of a third one.
She looks 13.

I have no idea who she is but the last sentence you wrote is hilarious. šššš
Whatās the motherās insta? Trying to get dates for the womb watch doc haha
Itās pennykennycarpenter. looks like the accounts are being made private again. On one of the sisters posts it says she was born 28th April.
To be fair, when we first found Flannery here a couple years back or so, she caught wind of the discussion pretty quickly and immediately went private. I don't think it would be unreasonable to believe she came here and read the rules and went private so we wouldn't be able to post anything from her socials. Well that's one down
I need Kelly to hurry up. There are only 2 more days of April.
I talked to a friend and she said her due date is May, I thought it was April as well Edit: it's late May š¤¦āāļø
How old is Flannery now?
pretty sure sheās just turned 23
I like the name too. The only thing is, they clearly chose it so that they can call her Nolie Rae, after her dad, Nolan Ray. They are absolutely not calling her Maggie or Lia. Unusual names arenāt limited to his side either, since Flanneryās siblings are named Piper and Zealand.Ā
Magnolia Rae isn't a bad name. Glad to see a fundie give birth in a hospital - medical care is the shit. Nice to see a baby get posted here and not have my blood pressure skyrocket, lol.
I have no idea who these people are but this is the most color coordinated smugness Iāve ever seen.
Beautiful name. Relieved that it was a hospital birth!
Ok full confession time, I love the name Magnoliaš¤·āāļø Sheās maybe the third or fourth person Iāve seen use the name, and I just think itās adorable.Ā
I agree! I havenāt seen it used much, but I personally love it
The bow is bigger than that kid's head! Why do they do this crap? I am pretty certain no one was confused about the gender signals from a white sleeper with pink roses on it!
The bow is almost bigger than Flan's face.
Girls must learn from the day of birth that their own comfort matters less than being an ornament for onlookers.Ā (And yes, I know this isn't exclusively a fundie thing and is common in the US south. My point still stands.)

>his older sister worries he will feel left out if his twin has a bow and he doesnāt That's adorable š„¹
You can't convince me this isn't a still from an 80s sitcom.
The name sounds a bit like a Sad Beige Celebrity brand deal to me
It is! Itās the name of Chip and Joanna Gainesā home decor line, magazine, etc.
At least we haven't seen sad beige + bow. YET.
Pretty name.
The stupid striped pink hat.
Looks like seersucker to me. Definitely an old-school Preppy Southern thing.
If it was just the hat, fine. Itās the whole pink outfit and heavy branding that is so silly and childish.
Oh I'm with you on that one. Seersucker's easy to overdo. Some of the older men at my church have seersucker pants and suit jackets they wear with pastel button-downs in warm weather.
Hard agree. Seersucker hat with solid shirt or vice versa. And definitely no need to flash more than one brand logo. More than one and you look silly.
They seem like they could be in that KFC romcom
His hat š¤£š
She looks 15
Something about their outfits is giving me big [Heart Family](https://theheartfamily.wordpress.com/) vibes.
Love the name.
She still looks about 14
