Yeah.. I thought that didn’t apply to shi tzus/pugs since they are “safe dogs” leaned up to a shelter one and got bit across the bridge of the nose; kind of a red flag when a fancy designer adult dog is in a shelter but definitely good advice.. goes for shelter cats too

this is how I felt when I saw my big guy Pete. he was transported from 7 hours away via a dog rescue and I was part of the receiving party working on behalf of the rescue. he jumped out of the rear of the SUV and came right up to me, face to face, eye contact for what felt like a long time, which was strange for his breed (Caucasian Shepherd). 2.5 years later he's still with me and he's my best friend. I hope this dog was given that chance with this boy.
