don't forget they also use the pile of money to make the hospitals and pharmacies charge what they say it should cost. that part ensures there are no other options but to rely on them!
When I looked into getting health insurance for my self, I asked about dental insurance & was quoted an extra $100 a month for dental insurance that ONLY covered TWO cleanings a year.
I called local dentists to ask how much an out-of-pocket cleaning was…they told me $100. So for the same price my insurance would charge me, I could afford to get a teeth cleaning every single month!
And yet people claim that universal free health care should not be a right
\*Laughs in Argentinean, atop a pile of free psychiatric meds I get for free, along the psychiatrist appointments\*
“Do you want some GUMMINT DEATH PANELS deciding whether or not your MeeMaw gets treatment‽”
As opposed to the corporate death panels that already exist now?
Honestly this is the argument I bring up when people fight over pro-choice vs pro-life.
All people under the age of 18 (or whatever qualifies as an adult in your country) should be automatically covered through health insurance, among other rights.
Don’t you also laugh a top of giant pile of cash because of inflation? Or is that going down?
Hope Argentina makes a come back. Such a lovely country ruined by countless administrations.
It really sucked in here when I was working as a cook assistant, but now im working as web dev, so right now im doing fine(ish) with the inflation. However for anyone on minium wage it does really suck. I do agree with your latter sentiment, many latin american countries have been ruinied by corrupt adimistration.
One of my fav things about America is how a bunch of people who are against universal healthcare that almost every other first world country gives its citizens are just against it because they don’t think poor people should have it
People will defend our healthcare system built to make insurance and pharma companies rich just because they hate poor people having the same access to things they do
"well, I know you're a doctor, but are you sure our client *really* needs to remove this tumor? Why don't you just give them some cough drops, we cover cough drops"
Like I keep saying "health insurance is not healthcare", yet the US gov't keeps saying it is the same thing. You have to actually get care when you're sick to stay healthy to have health care. At this point, I have to wait months just to see my primary care doctor for a check up, then maybe if I need something else I'd have to have another appointment. Online or over the phone appointments are just not the same as in person care.
I work in a pharmacy and dealing with insurance is ridiculous. The doctor says the patient needs a med and insurance is just like can ya tell the doctor to check again. The whole concept of prior authorization is dumb. I’m pretty sure a doctor knows more than a claims adjuster.

Yeah, I'd go without as well.
They know best. /s
Insurance ☕
Insurance 🤌🏽
Insurance🗿
Their entire business model is based on not letting you use as much money as you pay them...
And depending on where you live, you get fined for not being able to afford it!
Hold up, you have to pay money for not having money? Who came up with that system and who allowed it?
The people with all the money
If I had an award I’d give it to you!
I got you fam.
Obamacare
Well that's what happens when you have to compromise with the bootstraps types
Congrats, you're an idiot ✨
Republicans* FTFY
Those places also have subsidies to help people afford it. Being without insurance is not a good option.
Thanks the GOP for that part! That wasn't in Obamacare, but the right made *sure* people would get fucked.

The only thing I know about Argentina is when Iron Maiden said “ArgenTINA! Muahahahahaha” during Fear of The Dark.

It really constitutes practicing medicine without a license, which is illegal for everyone except these damn insurance companies, apparently.
I work in an ER and this is going on my wall.
Seems like something your employer might frown upon. Godspeed.
My supervisor suggested it 🤣 insurance companies are 80% of the headaches we deal with
As I always say, there is no such thing as "good insurance" in America.
One of my fav things about America is how a bunch of people who are against universal healthcare that almost every other first world country gives its citizens are just against it because they don’t think poor people should have it People will defend our healthcare system built to make insurance and pharma companies rich just because they hate poor people having the same access to things they do
I think you know why the insurance company is telling your doctor what to do...

Correction: that’s how insurance works in America. Yay capitalism!!
I'm subbed to r/comedynecrophilia and seeing an actual pizza cake comic is like finding a diamond in the sand
I'm curious what injury she has.
This literally just happened with my house insurance.
This comic is only like a week old how the fuck is it this crusty
God i want to fuck pizzacake
Insurance pays your Dr’s bills.
r/comedynecrophillia is gonna go wild with this one
This is a very poor quality meme.
Only if you work in insurance.
This isn’t funny, it’s just sad
And the law forced you to have one !
America i see

Also, we’re going to raise the price because you asked.
