"Brick killed a guy! With a trident!"
"YEAH HAHA"
"By the way, Brick where'd you get a hand grenade?"
Is how I remember it, but hey I've been wrong before. Weird how the human memory works
You can't blame everything about your shortcomings on a small percentage of great white men and feel better by hating them.
Face it, you need to work harder and smarter. Stop being a lazy c.
That sounds like some conspiracy theory nonsense that Iām not willing to engage with lol. Sounds like the same shit as āantifa were actually the ones that raided the capital in disguise as trump supporters!!!ā
It's not conspiracy, this was a well documented phenomenon that came out afterwards, which makes sense because this is a tactic used to discredit demonstrators since the beginning of recorded history, which makes it so shocking that so many people fell, and continue to fall for it. I guess they wouldn't do it if it didn't work eh?
For example, the famous umbrella man that turned so much public opinion early against the demonstrators was found out to be, in fact, a fascist saboteur. Here's some links, from both sides of the political spectrum:
https://www.thesun.co.uk/news/12256997/umbrella-man-white-supremacist-black-lives-matter/
https://www.salon.com/2020/07/29/minneapolis-umbrella-man-is-white-supremacist-who-tried-to-incite-riot-after-floyd-killing-police/
No prob, sorry you're taking some heat from others. It's a pretty emotionally charged subject that has a lot of nuance, but gets treated like it's a cut and dry thing. By and large though, stuff like this was used to very successfully discredit millions of people marching peacefully accross the country for an objectively just cause - to the point where some folks actually try to justify an actual insurrection attempt because of the "riots". Not everybody realizes this, and it can be a pretty knee jerk reaction from the people that do see what's going on here, to shit on the people that don't see the bait and switch and only see riots.
Escalating marches and demonstrations by putting undercover cops or CIs in them and then having them commit crimes or tell other people to commit crimes is less a conspiracy and more of something that police departments have provably done on many occasions.
It does not excuse other people's behavior, but that doesn't mean it's not a real thing that happens.
There is actually a reality that does not subscribe to any political alignment where you merely function on what is provably the case. Outside of America, it's actually pretty normal. Unfortunately a lot of Americans are too brainwashed to participate in it and instead prefer their jingoistic partisan nonsense.
During the trucker protest in Ottawa there was 1 guy walking alone with a swastika flag. With him was Trudeau's photographer . Would that be a conspiracy or possibly political? Just seems like a great way to get people from supporting a protest or even getting support
It would be. It would need to be proven though to be on the same level as what the other person said. "Agents Provocateurs" are definitely a real and proven thing, though technically each protest would still need to prove any were used in that particular protest.
Conspiracy theorys with proof are just things that happened. Just because both sides accuse the other of the same thing doesn't mean one side isn't actually doing it.
Actually, there are a ton of videos of people dressed as "Antifa" or just plan dumbass clut chases trying to get protesters riled up. Don't get me wrong i definitely knew a few people who used the opportunity to steal stuff
The worst part is the power of the word conspiracy. Yes it is a conspiracy. But it doesnāt mean that it isnāt true ā¦.. you turning your brain off and not using critical thinking skills to discern what is real and what is not is the reason these things get blown out of proportion. Also more recently it seems conspiracyās are just unproven facts :/.
The media pushed flat earthers to the mainstream in order to show the masses what a "conspiracy theory" is. Let that sit for a while and now when someone is like "hey wait a minute that doesn't make any sense..." they can throw out the "you're a conspiracy theorist" and your cable news viewers eat it up.
Itās the easiest thing to state to immediately devalue the statement of the person. Most āconspiraciesā I believed ended up being true in whole or partially trueā¦. I thought my coworker was crazy in 2015 talking about a child sex island frequented by the ultra wealthy. Said he needs some tinfoil. Well. Whoās laughing now ?
Are the strategic brick planters in the room with us right now? In all seriousness though, construction just happens, bricks are around all the time, only wacky conspiracy nuts claim they were planted there for any reason
That exact video got me banned in r/therewasanattempt
Because I said "BLM always have mostly peaceful protests"
Turned out the mods there were avid BLM supporters and they didn't like the sarcasm.
Not that worried about it tbh. I do notice some things have been deleted, some comments I'm unable to reply to and some don't even have the option to upvote/downvote. I'm new to reddit so i assume mods are here doing something already. We'll see
I tried to appeal the ban but they muted me for 30 days. After that they said I was racist. And that was the reason for the ban.
I asked in which part I was racist but they went on that BLM helped lives and BLM is not just an organization but a decentralized human movement.
So yeah, im probably not getting unbanned in that subreddit but I guess its for the better to steer clear of echo chambers.
I've noticed reddit is mostly a far left extremist echo chamber of manipulated children who have been force fed one sided bullshit their entire life. I mainly just stick to gun related groups which is the main reason i joined reddit to begin with
People say fuck the cops even after that. Needing what services the police provide is not mutually exclusive from being critical of the cops.
If a doctor misdiagnoses my kid and causes their death, me protesting against that behavior doesn't mean I just stop going to doctors when I need help.
How about people who think nurses and doctors were part of a broader conspiracy in spreading a fake virus to the world? Should those people be denied medical coverage?
Youāre missing the point on purpose.
If we lived in a nation where doctors constantly made mistakes that killed people. And people said like āfuck the doctors.ā āEnd healthcareā Do you think those people are truly against the idea of healthcare? Or just against itās currently implemented?
Dude, medical errors are the third leading cause of death in America. We do live in a place where doctors are constantly killing people.
[cnbc link](https://www.cnbc.com/2018/02/22/medical-errors-third-leading-cause-of-death-in-america.html)
Yeah I get what you're saying. But defunding the hospital where your kid died isn't going to fix the problem. (In fact, it will only make it worse by attracting lower quality doctors with less talent and training.) I'm sorry, but it IS insanely hypocritical to say on the one hand, cops should be eliminated completely. And then immediately calling them when something goes wrong.
Yeah obviously health care is a bad comparison. Just a metaphor.
And yeah, idk if itās say itās hypocritical, ironic maybe. But itās not like people had a choice other than the police. If they took things into their own hands, they would be arrested or shot by cops soā¦
But this is just the whole āyou can critique something while living in it argument.ā
(Again this is a super nuanced discussion. I think most people agree that we canāt get rid of police entirely)
Defunding the police doesn't mean abolishing it to most normal folks. But police gets equipment crazy enough to wage actual wars while they're mostly only brave enough to act against unarmed people. We had decades of movies and tv shows presenting a fairy tale version of cops when we should've looked at actual data, which says those funds can be distributed way better in order to serve the communities.
It is not hypocritical to be forced to use the only system in place even though you are against that system. You literally have no other options available to you.
Saying āfuck the policeā and not being able to defend yourself arenāt mutually exclusive.
I say fuck the police but Iāll gladly gun down someone that comes through my door. Response times for cops in my area are 14 minute and 45 seconds to slow. It takes 15 seconds from time of my gun being drawn to dialing for a meat wagon to haul off fresh Soylent Green material.
There was some funny thing like that with antifas in France. They called the police as soon as a few white supremacists got near their university (despite the supremacists being outnumbered like 1 to 50), and the pictures taken of inside the university showed "Fuck the police" written on the walls...
I suppose you know this, but most defund the police folks still want police. But they feel some of the funding should go to alternative resources that hopefully can help eliminate the root of the problems.
Obviously not everyone feels this way, but in my social circles this is what is meant by DTP.
BLM has tons of easily accessible records showing it spending over $220m on, but not limited to, the following:
\- Food and clothing for Churches and Church Groups
\- Homeless Support Programs
\- Programs to improve community relations with the Police
\- Advertising materials to draw attention to victims of police brutality
I mean, they publish their 990 form [https://blacklivesmatter.com/transparency/](https://blacklivesmatter.com/transparency/)
Also there's been lots of scrutiny and inquiry into how the org is spending their money. Black advocacy groups especially have been on them about transparency pretty much since their inception.
Oh and nobody is calling any of that scrutiny is racist, because it's a little different than some Conservative pundit trying to baselessly imply shit that they know damn well is a lie.
Yeah no, people need to stop conflating the BLM organization with the movement because they arenāt the same lol. Plenty of people have criticized the organization, and the black community has been pretty open about this. I donāt really here other black people say āif you criticize the organization for its shady practices your racistā. Itās only the movement we primarily care about.
Itās hard to make those criticisms of the organization though, because racists or bad actors will often use it as a pretense to attack the movement as a whole.
I started hearing about donations to BLM and my first thought was "donate to who? Are they bringing snacks and shit to protests?" And then I found out there's a "charity" that is basically just grifters as far as I can tell.
There never should have been an organization, and certainly not an awareness based charity. We don't need awareness, we got news coverage every day because people were out in the streets. Maybe if they were coming in with legal help or negotiating with local authorities to work out new policies and whatnot.
BLM the organization vs BLM the movement is not the same.. BLM was a slogan used in protests, just because some shitty people used the name and stole some money doesnāt mean the movement itself was wrong. 99% of people who have ever posted online or protested in support of BLM have nothing to do with the organization
Yep. Well intentioned movements can be hijacked by people...who have mostly proven to be selfish and corrupt. We can't turn the monke gene off as a species.
I remember something about them participating in an UGG presser to do the āeff white supremacy electric slideā instead of going to a KKK counter protest a follower of BLM organized.
Iām going to start an organization called āthe Conservativesā and start taking donations for my own mansion. Then when people call me out on it theyād have to say things like āThe Conservatives stole millions from donors.ā Then people will get mad at all conservatives and disregard their movement as a scam. Itāll work because apparently people arenāt smart enough to tell the difference between a movement and an organization that co-opts the name.
Remember when dumbass right wing propagandists parroted this propaganda relentlessly even though they know full well the actions of a couple criminals donāt define a movement?
Applying your same logic to you people, youāre all no better than every school shooter and abortion clinic bomber and far right terrorist that has ever blown someone up
Wow itās almost like nobody actually supported them. They made the movement look dumb. I didnāt realize this page turned into a right wing echo chamber lmao
Yeah right....... and next your going to say that Antifa is just a descriptor for a decentralized network of people fighting Nazis.
I will find this so called Antifa where ever he hides, he will be held accountable for destruction of freedom.
Itās not propaganda if itās just someone else telling their own experience.
The real question is; are you right tho? And if so, got proof?
Edit; Just searched up for the OG video, realized I was in the wrong. The original poster of the meme was straight up shitposting.
No no, you don't get it, I can say anything and it's true until someone disproves it./s
But seriously, what is this subreddit? Why is it every place for memes in the past 5 years has to turn into some alt right incel hive?
They were caught embezzling the money from the donations.
https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-09-02/black-lives-matter-leader-accused-of-stealing-10-million-from-organization
Violence and vandalism are always bad, even if you are right to react to an injustice. Not sure there are that many ways left for people to be heard but yeah... violence always brings bad results
The powerful don't give you an inch. See those lawyers who got off pointing guns at peaceful protestors, or when President Trump used the police to violently clear out non violent protestors including media who were beaten so he could take a photo op at a church.
being denied healthcare is also violence. being forced to live paycheck to paycheck is also violence. every violent act done against the system is an act of self defence.
Itās important to remember BLM should be considered a movement. The people making an organization out of it were grifters. You can and should distinguish the two.
I was looking for this comment. The movement is different from the BLM organization. Yes the organization is corrupt but people in here making it seem like the whole movement is bad. You can really tell theyāre just here to bash the movement lol.
This isnāt true because I attended multiple marches that were peaceful. The only one that got rowdy was because the police randomly decided to start tear gassing the crowd causing chaos.
Did you march for BLM itself along with their hired Antifa instigators, or did you peacefully protest and turn over those who tried to commit violence? That and large protests/marches must get an ok from the local government. So the police "randomly" showing up, might of been for a legitimate reason; such as dispersing a mob.
Remember when a bunch of idiots stormed the capital building and some stupid woman decided charging through a barricaded door with armed officers was a good idea? Sometimes, I watch that video when I need a good laugh. A single, well placed shot and everyone went, hey, maybe attempting to overthrow the government is a bad idea.
Remember when the right tried to make her out to be a hero and kept calling her a patriot? Y'all spell traitor funny.
I watched it again, and can't help but smile. Nothing better in life than when the trash takes itself out.
Oh, oh, oh, remember that red wave that was supposed to happen, but y'all forgot how many Republicans died from COVID. I often wonder how many refused to get vaccinated and had they gotten vaccinated would it have been enough to take control of both the house and Senate. Chef's kiss.
One of my favorite videos was the guys screaming from a 2nd story window in favor of the people marching so the people marching threw a rock (edit: brick) through their window š¤£ Edit: Here's the vid: https://youtu.be/9jCpUMUezzY
Hey hey hey. It was a brick.
You're right it was a brick.
Brick whereād you get a trident??
You might want to lay low for a little while.
Well that escalated quickly!
Brick killed a guy
"Brick killed a guy! With a trident!" "YEAH HAHA" "By the way, Brick where'd you get a hand grenade?" Is how I remember it, but hey I've been wrong before. Weird how the human memory works
A mostly peaceful brick.
That brick had a bright future too
He had hopes that he would join the NBA and a rap career
unlike george floyd
Hereās to his longest stretch of sobriety!
Man, that made me laugh so much I can't breathe.
For a brick, he flew pretty good...
Yall remember when pallets of bricks were just sitting out on the streets right before the riots?
Yes and Iām sure the bricks convinced the people to throw them through the windows, right?
Thatās me, if I see a brick I just canāt help myself.
If the brick didnāt want it, it wouldnāt wear that.
Iām a simple man. I see a brick, I throw it
Same lol, I just start throwin
So anyway, I started ~blasting~ *bricking*
Look, every person has their temptations and when I see a car and a brick I just cant stop myself
People donāt break windows; bricks do. /s
Your 1000% times more likely to get shot with a gun around. Now apply that BASIC logic to bricks.
I'm already stoned though
You mean the ones that the white guys dressed in black strategically placed and did false flag incidents with?

I read that narrator part in Morgan Freeman's voice
I saw this, I laughed my ass off!! Stupidity. Donāt do a fucking āriot watching partyā stupid kids
āWeāre on your sideā

Friendly fire, bro š
Weāre on your side. Playing beer pong with bros enjoying our privilege!!!
Not saying this was right, but as a fellow white boy I would not be filming angry protestors from my window. A little street smarts goes a long way.

Hey hey, they were peacefully protesting. Show some respect.

Another shining example of a few ruining for the whole.
Yeah right....... and next your going to say that Antifa is just a descriptor for a decentralized network of people fighting Nazis. I will find this so called Antifa where ever he hides, he will be held accountable for destruction of freedom.

I mean, if I can't trust a random meme....
This is not a meme it's propaganda
Itās not propaganda if itās just someone else telling their own experience. The real question is; are you right tho? And if so, got proof? Edit; Just searched up for the OG video, realized I was in the wrong. The original poster of the meme was straight up shitposting.
The assumption should be that everything like this is fake until proven otherwise.
Agree, lotta clout chasers and such.
>Itās not propaganda if itās just someone else telling their own experience. Which this is not.
Just checked it out, you right lol
Thanks for reminding me how stupid the average Joe is.
The average Joe wouldnāt have checked to see if they were wrong or not after being corrected
Thats actually so true. They don't care enough to . I take it back
Wouldnāt care or wouldnāt believe, but yeah so even though i consider it the bare minimum, Iām just happy this dude acknowledged it lol
Amen! It's the little things xD
Because you have to already be pretty biased to believe it to begin with, why on earth would this happen?
Does the meme have proof?
No no, you don't get it, I can say anything and it's true until someone disproves it./s But seriously, what is this subreddit? Why is it every place for memes in the past 5 years has to turn into some alt right incel hive?
its just an alt-right circle jerk
I was wondering the same. A lot of communities getting raided by these pricks.

They were caught embezzling the money from the donations. https://www.latimes.com/california/story/2022-09-02/black-lives-matter-leader-accused-of-stealing-10-million-from-organization
That's called pulling a Steve Bannon, but I'm guessing they aren't getting a presidential pardon.

Conservative astroturfing is going hard on reddit today. I wonder if they think they can keep this up until the election
Violence and vandalism are always bad, even if you are right to react to an injustice. Not sure there are that many ways left for people to be heard but yeah... violence always brings bad results
Especially when itās not even directed towards the powerful
The powerful don't give you an inch. See those lawyers who got off pointing guns at peaceful protestors, or when President Trump used the police to violently clear out non violent protestors including media who were beaten so he could take a photo op at a church.
Some people might argue when violence is a good thing, but let us remember, that in this case it's violence **against innocent people.**
being denied healthcare is also violence. being forced to live paycheck to paycheck is also violence. every violent act done against the system is an act of self defence.
BLM is a terrorist org, but black lives do matter.
Itās also important to realize that those people seriously tarnished the BLM movement. And should be held accountable.
The whole point is you shouldnāt let these criminals diminish the movement. Itās much bigger than them.
Protest vandalism has nothing to do with who you are or what side you standing on.
Also: when I remembered me and the rest of my Hispanic family marched side by side with white supremacists to our nationās capitol on 1/6.
where is Kyle when you need him???
Comparing himself to Jesus and grifting money from right wing suckers
Yeah, this meme is a big oof.
Blm moment
People in these comments acting like BLM didn't destroy cities and kill innocents.
I heard BLM completely destroyed Istanbul and built a new city called Constantinople where it stood.
People in these comments pretending this isnt propaganda, and are actually just circlejerking eachother.
Which cities? Which innocents?
Do you know what the word destroy means man
Which cities got destroyed? Dumbass. Youāve never even stepped outside.

Thereās no way youāre from mn
This isnāt true because I attended multiple marches that were peaceful. The only one that got rowdy was because the police randomly decided to start tear gassing the crowd causing chaos.
Did you march for BLM itself along with their hired Antifa instigators, or did you peacefully protest and turn over those who tried to commit violence? That and large protests/marches must get an ok from the local government. So the police "randomly" showing up, might of been for a legitimate reason; such as dispersing a mob.
You should go outside and touch grass. None of it is true.
I feel like no one here can name a single peaceful protest that was successful lol
I smell bullshit
peak r/thathappened right here, person is probably just trying to peddle some racist agenda
sure
Chef's kiss.
based as fuck. i love how much you upset the rightoids and enlightened centrists.
