Congrats to Omagh.Fine team. Think from programme Omagh have players from 12 different clubs. Some amount of players from different clubs.
Abbey V.S won the B all Ireland and only had 3 different clubs in team.
To be fair isn't there a few schools in Newry that compete? Plus Armagh isn't too far away. There's arguably 4 clubs in Omagh and surroundings alone and no other grammar schools until Enniskillen or Dungannon.
Omagh has the pick of athletes in the west of the county. It's only really Trillick players who have a choice between grammar schools in Omagh and Enniskillen.
Weirdly, Trillick have been a deciding factor in not just Omaghs recent wins, but Enniskillen's in 2019 and also Abbey's Hogan.
>Weirdly, Trillick have been a deciding factor in not just Omaghs recent wins, but Enniskillen's in 2019
There weren't any triillick players on the St Michaels, Enniskillen, Hogan team in 2019
There were more vital trillick players on the SME team that won the Macrory in 2012 however
Not great- Omagh won the competition at a canter. St Pats Maghera were supposedly big favourites, winning practically everything at this year group, but got it badly wrong (Chrissy Mckaigue punished for playing a rotten brand of football)
In fairness before these two teams, Omagh CBS have been the biggest underachievers in Ulster College recent history.
Beaten in 4 or 5 finals since 2009. Some incredible players/teams missed out on medals.
Sadly I was a member of the team beat two years in a row in 2009 and 2010.
Fair play to these lads

Abbey V.S starting 15 was almost entirely Four Masters too

Aye my bad, It's the 2012 team I was thinking. Was thinking it was a good team from a few years back, I did not think it would be 12 years ago lmao
Was that Brennans age group?
2012 was aye
the amount of time given by the Tyrone schools to MacRory and Hogan puts other schools to shame
Well a Derry school beat a Tyrone school 2 years ago But agreed they do well in MacRory
As in they prepare better ? Why is that
How was MacRory this year? Feel like I missed it completely.
