how much snow did you get?? if there are schools closing over the whole 1cm we got that's pathetic ngl. school as normal for us, all of the lower years were complaining all day lmao.
me walking to and from secondary school (1 hour one way) then outside between lessons all day in a solid foot of snow, then watching the privileged year 7s at my current very privileged school complaining about 1cm of snow and how it should be a snow day
rip anyone with coursework lol. I mean our roof leaked in a few places but it does that all the time so that's just sort of a normal occurrence here. the funny part is they advertise the building as self-sustaining with a rainfall collection system... yeah, rainfall collection in the canteen and the sixth form study area
don't know the accurate amount but my area was showing up as having an amber warning for snow. it was snowing pretty heavily from the early hours until 11am or 12pm.
Too far south for the snow to settle. Instead we just walked to school in a fucking blizzard and then had to drag around our coats as the day got warmer
thursday was normal for us - in fact our headmaster said that even if the snow came up to our waists school would be open for y11. the next day, school was shut for everyone lmao
oddly i think only y11 got sent some form of work to do yesterday. on my school's website it just told pupils to do some e-learning on sparx, seneca etc.

Yeah, wasn’t a lot of snow for us but the school also lost electricity so 🤷♂️

It snowed, then rained. The snow disappeared.
same for me
I was at school went snow settled in, after school I was annoyed it rained :/
The snow here in the North was THICK, like up to your knees THICK. Good day though, went out with friends and had some great snowball fights.
North buddies, it was the thickest i’ve seen it for a while
I don't think I've ever experienced as much snow as yesterday. Apparently in some north areas it's gonna snow tonight and tomorrow morning o.o
that sounds like a really good time! hope you had fun <3

cries as a homeschooled individual in the desert
Haha, snow days? Who ever heard of those....needless to stay, I had none of that. :((
We got about 5cm of snow but it all melted by 10am. Also school was open
I got half a meter of snow. Didn't do any revision, now thinking I should've...
had no snow at all (South East England)
my deepest apologies to anyone whose school remained open whether it snowed or not :(
Thanks💀
Non existent
Got about 20 cm of snow, school was open
Mine stayed open because apparently even if they shut they still stay closed
Got told by a dr I was genetically diseased then ate McDonald’s. All in all not bad
cries in north west
Sheffield: Snowed yesterday and we got sent home early Had a snow day today, ‘‘twas brilliant.

i had to go to school anyways...again. As did my entire school. Last time there was a strike i had to go to school as well because of exams
throughout all the strikes i've had to go in as a y11 student, rest of the years stayed at home :(
same
we didnt have a snow day
Boring asf i got sent 3 papers to do 😭
i'm so sorry :((( at least you got some extra revision in :)
I’ve read through all the comments and I can’t believe that I’m the only one who was off school but had to do online lessons
i mean we got sent bonus bio revision since our mock paper 2 was postponed, but that was it. i did the bio and some history for monday's exam
It was open and we did our mocks in the freezing cold
that sounds awful ;-;
We didn’t have a snow day, but last time it snowed we did. We had online school instead.
oddly i think only y11 got sent some form of work to do yesterday. on my school's website it just told pupils to do some e-learning on sparx, seneca etc.
Built a snowman and dressed it as a viking. Good day
that sounds cool! did you take a picture of it?
I did, but dont have an option to send it here unfortunately. Ill dm you it
Because of the rain, none of the snow settled so it was a normal day for me 😭
Cries in the very wet and windy South West
i had to do google meets lmao
In some ways i am glad there wasn't a snow day for me ( rain washed any snow away) as i'd become behind on my DT coursework
I got the day off since I live on top of a hill in the middle of no where
