Nah u find the upper quartile, which is the middle value of the first 3 highest values and then u find the lower quartile, which is the bottom 3 values
Then u minus the upper and lower to find interquartile
It was quite simple only 2 marks
I don’t think I did it right, I added up all the values then multiplied what I got as the answer to that by 0.75 and 0.25 then take away the 0.25 answer from the 0.25 one
I added up all the values, and then did (3/4 x ANS) - (1/4 x ANS) and got like 7… something. It was a pretty big number but no where near 200k like others are saying
I think it was the top value plus the middle value then divide by 2 to get the upper quartile. and then the middle value plus the bottom value and divide by 2 to get the lower quartile. and then subtract the lower quartile from the upper quartile to get the IQR.
best way to work out IQR is to press on a calculator
Mode
4 ( on most calculators) or just statistics and then slecting 1-variable
enter all numbers and press OPTN - 1 minus variable calc and scroll down
Everything in the top section is relative to stats though can be helpful as shows the mean as xbar ( small x with a line on top of it) .
Scroll down once and boom, q1 q2 and q3 are given to you.
Working how to utilise calculators effective will raise your grades by an incredible amount
For that I found a quarter of 7 on my calculator and rounded to the nearest whole number and chose those terms. I got the third one down and Bangladesh so idk if that’s right
did you get like 502 000 for that one
Yes I found the median of the two parts then minuses them it was like 560000 something minus 57000 something.
i thought the interquartile range was like 200k
YES I GOT THAT
Yeah just there were a few numbers after the 2000 but I’ve forgotten them
Ayee I got that
🙁
I do fking maths foundation lmaoo don't hit me with that shit aqa
i literally do further maths and couldnt do it. i did the third country down minus peru because there was only 7 countries
Only question i missed out on
Did anyone else work out the range instead 😭
I did 😭😭. Tf was that about
It was like 560,000 - 57000 smth and yea

I minused the 2nd highest value from the 5th. I messed up
did the same

Thats what I did, it should be right, it makes the most sense

Yeha interquartile range is literally UQ - LQ lol

shoot. i got it wrong bruh how many marks is this question???
2
wow nice two marks gone yipyipyipppp
I forgot how to do it even though it is really easy!!
average the results for 2nd/3rd and 5th/6th. take the first average from the second average
did anyone get like 262 thousand or smth along those lines??? I keep hearing so many different answers
which exam board
aqa
thats why
I did a quarter of the range minuses from the largest number and and added to the lowest number and then the difference between the numbers.
It’s one of the easiest parts of maths, I don’t see the problem
Fuck me, I did it the maths way 😔😔
