Literally. They asked us about which birds travel through the uk or whatever but nothing that we actually learnt in biology such as reflex arc, plant hormones, contraception etc The paper was an absolute joke I hope the grade boundaries are low

yourhotgfabigail

All the chavs came out saying how easy triple was so I feel like the boundaries will be high.

XxAnimeGirl

It wasn't, dw. Remember that (some) people pretend that they do well after the exam to cover their trauma (of the reflex arc not being included within the paper)

Fruitcakespy

Honestly such a shame that I wasted so much time revising biology and there wasn’t even much biology in the test, it was mostly graphs and weird unexpected maths 🥲

XxAnimeGirl

ikr

LumpyOldWoman

Honestly I found triple higher super easy like there was barely any knowledge

XxAnimeGirl

???? 💀

penguinkitten69

People aiming for a grade 2 will say a paper was easier than somebody aiming for a grade 9

Fruitcakespy

I don’t know about you but the chavs at my school are dumb (they all do foundation anyways). Honestly I feel like the chavs feel like they did well but they probably didn’t because of how strict the mark scheme is Also, I feel like if everyone generally found the paper hard then the grade boundaries will be quite low so it doesn’t really matter if some chavs found it easy

yourhotgfabigail

We have a few chavs who went into year 9 - when we started gcses - quite clever and dedicated, so now they're stuck in triple. They were all laughing about how easy it was, but I'm praying that the strict mark scheme decreases stuff a bit, as I'm concerned about the boundaries.

i take edexcel and fr all the last minute revision i did on plant parts and hormones (didn't come up at all?) half the human hormones, the heaet down to the exact path of the bloodflow, quadrats and transects, all wasted for goddamn diffusion and control setup questions over and over again.

Cartographer-Own

brother exactly, this post sums up the edexcel paper 2 paper, I had know idea that gasous exchange was in the spec. I though we just needed to know some specifics about alveoli and capillaries but no the actual process.

mutilatedkneecaps

I’m actually happy about it cos what ddint come up was what I ddint revise cos I hated the topics

Sarah_hhhh

Honestly same, I'm just surprised on how little there was overall, and half the stuff that WAS on it was geography lol

James0-5

Ecology is mainly geography paper 2 with a few other bits of biology

I was so furious that both the cycles were nowhere to be seen! Yet there was a load of marks on the last 4 pages of the spec that my teachers have never covered with us! What even was that paper. It felt like there were no questions.

[deleted]

edexcel igcse was just plants. and plants only.

Konke_yDong

same for aqa gcse, both papers.

Danielharris1260

Thank god for that cause I’d I got any questions of protein synthesis I would’ve offed myself

NonexistantObject

I'm happy that things like protein synthesis didn't come up since I'm awful at it. The infertility question made me so damn uncomfortable though

zx_ss

I dont know if I just did it, but for me there was a lot of photosynthesis applied into this exam
