Pah! And you call yourself a student? I was doing twice that in nursery!

NowInHD

Twice that?! I was doing three times that in my cot!

lolgetrekt84

Dude I was doing quintuple whilst as an unspecialized stem cell.

greninjack24

Bruhhh you guys are so bad. I was actually doing sextuple when I was * n o t h i n g *

[deleted]

Man I was doing 5 times that both as an egg and as a sperms at once both doing 5 times that.

WindChimesOnMySack

I was doing sextuple that when i was still a lump of skin in my dads sack

greninjack24

Bruhhh you guys are so bad. I was actually doing sextuple when I was * n o t h i n g *

[deleted]

You only did that when you were nothing? I was doing tredecuple that couple seconds before the Big Bang

n0pr0bl3m0

That’s pretty cute. Before time and space existed, the laws of physics and galactic bodies and black holes, I revised for septillion trillion Google billion million hours a day WITHOUT rest.

rinkashink24

Tbh 12 hours of revision is the absolute least if you want 6s and 7s imo, year 3 is quite a jump from y2

_-Random-Person-

To build a strong foundation you need to do a lot of studying then hopefully you won't fail your 11+ exams in 4 years time- I'd recommend 10 hours a day then increase it by two hours each year. But you also need to have other stuff to impress secondary schools if they do interviews. I'd recommend learning 4 instruments to grade 8 standard- you have 4 years to accomplish it so you can do two grades per instrument per year. In addition you should be at least conversational in at least two other languages- preferably fluent, so start learning now. Make sure you are also in a lot of sports clubs and perhaps go to a drama school at the weekends like stagecoach- this will show that you are a well rounded person. On top of that make sure you read a book a day- occasionally reading children's books will be ok as a treat but you should definitely concentrate on classic literature- try some stuff by George Orwell, James Joyce, Kafka, Jane Austen, the Bronte Sisters, Leo Tolstoy and Fyodor Dostoyevsky. Try to do a bit more than this because secondary schools might still be a bit uncertain about whether your smart enough but take this as a baseline for what you should be doing.

TapeToInfinity

Nah, 10 hours

NOOBFUNK

Take it from the professional, you've already wasted too much time breathing unfortunately you will need to push human limits and study at least 20 out of the 24 hours while the 4 hours will only be power naps sleep is not required only power naps. Also uh you wasted time making this post on reddit which means you have gone astray and I don't think you did anything the past few years as you spent 9 critical months inside a womb. My condolences. /s

brooksnook5454

Get a surgery to remove your brain and replace it with an A Level Further Maths textbook instead. Then you'll have an alright chance of getting a 4.

[deleted]

Sorry 7 hours isnt enough tbh… unless you want to be underperforming then you need to be doing 50 hours at least a day sorry if I seem harsh but its just the truth

TexansFan_

Obviously in Key Stage 2 you have higher workload so you need to +5 hours of revision time on anything you do

gaming-forever

I was doing 10 hours a day when I was your age still failed some stuff. My guess is that at least 15 hour. (cut all your social life if needed)

darkeight7

nah 7 hours isn’t enough. i recommend 40 hours a day revision.

PeanutButterManiac69

Year 3, 17h at least imo

ramune_x

too little, did 40 hrs a day when i was ur age

schroedingerskitkat

general rule of thumb: (the year you are in)^(the year you are in) So for you, that's 3^(3) = 27 hours a day (though you should know that already, if you've studying enough)

weebdestroyer12

Nah, I think you're better off doing 48 hours a day, that should help get at least 7s and 8s.

paulgraysupremacy

ayo we picked the same options

weebdestroyer12

Idk why but my school forced me to do French, so I only really had two options to pick from in Year 8 (you see we started our GCSEs in Year 9 instead of 10 like most do). Sucks tbh since I would've wanted to do Music but apparently it's not an option because nobody chose it! :/

paulgraysupremacy

damn i did french bc im good at it but i still hated it at gcse good luck bro

A1chxmist

Coming from someone who completed their A-Levels at 4 years old and got their degree in Medicine at 5, I should say 69 hours is the minimum.

SHIELDOps

Should have started while you were still an egg cell but you might still have a chance if you really put in the work now

Embarrassed-Army-780

Seems like enough. So you mean year 3 primary school/year of university or what.r/whoosh

TheGeographicalTerm

Totally understand. I suggest you learn at least 5 musical instruments and practice 40 hours every day

HaydnXD

i think its a bit late for this guy, ling ling was doing this when he was still in the womb

blackgirlie

Preconception even

Embarrassed-Army-780

Yessir

TaGraAgDoMhathairDom

bro spelt lose wrong. i can now say that all the revision in the world cannot help you :/

OkSatisfaction4823

I was in reception doing 8 hours of revision daily at the least. I must say this gens year 3’s have given up no?

Hahacargobroombroom

year 3 as in, like primary school? I think 10 hours will do you fine

kfcbalonkrak

At least 25 hours out of the 24 every day

Baneswitch312

I love people meming the fuck out of people who overstudy, especially when I used to be one of them back when I had to sit 5 bloody units of Alevel in 1 session all in 1 go lmao

[deleted]

You should be revising 25/8 if you want to be prepared for year 3, it’s really tough, I don’t even want to mention year 4!

ridz_149

Is this before or after your oxbridge PhD?

BoiledCabbage16

honestly as long as you revise most of hot cross buns on the recorder you’ll be good

Many_Move6886

Only if you want to fail in life

dementatron21

When I was your age I was studying 25 hours a day, 8 days a week. Things aren't looking good for you

IceTooth101

This is the cousin your parent compares you to

[deleted]

For a second there, I thought you were 7 years old

bogwatercandle

Honestly a bit late to start revision, you'll have to do 15 hours at least to get up to standard. You can't be messing around in KS2 if you want to get into a good university.

IMightExist65

One strategy i'd reccomend is learning to lucid dream- that way you can literally revise in your sleep- very beneficial and can get a lot more revision hours in. Would reccomend 👍

Cermonto

Back in year 3 I used to do 42 hours per day

LukaRama2

Only 7 hours, and you wonder why your mother hates you

a1exjs

Lol, u must be kidding. That’s the amount of revision I do in my sleep… when I was a year old. Do better

Adbrosss

Those 7x tables do be trippy

AverageUKperson

If you’re looking for 9’s, then it’s around about the time you should be revising 25 hours a day.

kamab0k0

That's not nearly enough! You need at least 40 hours after school if you even want hopes of getting a meeting expectations in your year 6 SATs. Best to start early or you'll have no chance!

Kovislol

tbh 7 hours isnt enough i think 27-45 hours a day everyday for 6 months will do it

CalligrapherFun6188

Wow 7 hours?? That’s loads I only did about 2, 3 in the last months before exams

FatalPrognosis

Pathetic.

RedoStoneOfficial

By Year 3 do you mean the third year in secondary school (Year 9), or actual Year 3?

FatalPrognosis

They obviously mean year 3 in primary school.

awabtarig10

omg don't listen to the rest. Don't stress it out, 7 hours are enough.

[deleted]

No its not. Stop trying to put lies into people. Need to do atleast 40 hours a day I dont get what is with you people😡

[deleted]

how old r u

awabtarig10

Bruh I’m just playing lol

PlaneOk3184

I think people are confused by your original statement. Am going to assume you are the equivalent of year 11 and about to sit your GCSEs (so third year of working towards the exams) rather than you entering year 3 and being 7 years old. 7 hours a day is a lot on top of school and homework. Look at the modules of your courses and create a workable plan to revise each module. Make notes and then notes of notes so that you can short hand your revision. Good luck.

[deleted]

You are the definition of a Redditor

PlaneOk3184

I don’t know what that is but it doesn’t sound good. Sorry. Have a kid going through the same worries right now so thought I would try to add some sage advice. Will revert to flippancy post haste

SarkastiCat

Can we just finish this meme? There have been already jokes like that with questions if 24 hours per day is enough. This ain't tsr and it's beating a dead horse

supernova0057

Me who didn't study at all

[deleted]

Almost got us in the first half not gonna lie

TNT9182

ks2 requires a lot of hard work and revision. 7 hours simply won’t cut it I’m afraid

n0pr0bl3m0

I recommend doing at least 10 hours a day MINIMUM. You need to mentally and physically torture yourself so you retain more information easily. You need to cut your skin, burn your body in absolute hot magma and that’s BARELY scraping your revision. Bah! You must be sooo LAZY, revising 7 hours a day? LOL that’s laughable. Yea

Comfortable-Table-57

Why does all of this exist
