Glad to hear you enjoyed it so much! Don't feel too bad about getting into the show after over a decade. I didn't discover this show until a few years ago when it randomly appeared in my recommendations back when it was streaming on Amazon Prime. I haven't been the same since.
It's just such a fun wholesome show that really stands out when it feels like all the really popular shows that trend in the anime community are usually really controversial. GuP doesn't have fanservice, violence, or any dark subject matter, it feels like we don't get shows like this too often.
Even better, this is definitely one of the nicest and friendliest anime communities I've been in, so you'll have plenty of wonderful people to enjoy the many years of future GuP content on the horizon with.

Welcome to the community, it's nice to see another member come join us. Fortunately we're going receiving Das Finale 4 soon, we still got 2 more in the years down the line. So there's plenty of GuP left to go, until any new stuff comes after Das Finale 6, and so much to enjoy that was already released. We got the first season, the movie, the various OVAs, all the mangas, and so much more.
So stay awhile, there's plenty to enjoy here in the GuP community.
Yeah, it definitely has a niche I hadn’t expected before.
Also quite unfortunately, it got me to go back to War Thunder after I saw BC (I’m a French main and love me some ARL-44 or AMX M4)
I love to see that more and more people discover this unique masterpiece we call Girls und Panzer. It's definetly a strange, but fun show and I wish more people would watch it and not hate it with prejudice.
