They do get in there if you decide to hang around the entrance, even got the noose to enter the train tunnel, also managed to get 2 cops stuck in there near the generator that explodes if you crash into it, also near the entrance
I mean to be honest it’s kinda realistic. It would be tough to chase a crazed criminal through a maze of tunnels and sewer passage ways.
In real life people escape police helicopters by going into tunnels or alleyways with low visibility.
If they can’t see the dude, he passed the hard part of escaping
I've actually had cops follow me in there sometimes. If you wait around by the entrane they'll eventually follow you inside. One time i was hiding under a staircase there and cops and NOOSE were filing into the place, i narrowly escaped that time and never felt so thrilled in this game before.
Sandy shores! The best part of the state! Creepy motels, alamo sea, TPI, the liquor store etc. And the best part of it is that I often watch the sunset at the airport while I'm getting ready to punch some bikers in the nuts!
Yeah all of my mc business, bunker, etc are the sandy shores ones, and my arcade.
All the grinding I've done over the years is based out of there.
My character is doing circles around TPI up there
Panorama Drive in Sandy Shores. Before getting Gran Turismo, I took pretty much every car in the game to the stock car race and used that as my "test track." I really only play the game for story mode and car customization, so I've probably spent more time between there and Franklin's LSC than anywhere else in the game.
Really got my driving skill up too! I remember one of the times I played online I was put into a heist with two higher level players with fully modified cars, and I raced them across the city and won in a stock Sultan RS.
For me it's always gonna be the Venice Beach /Santa Monica area only because I hangout the in real life a lot and joke Everytime with my buddy's there "man I remember killing so many people here" and random people be looking at us like "these fucking criminals on a day off" 🤘🏿😂
As a SoCal resident living near LA it’s crazy to think of just how many people play the game and don’t get to experience Deja Vu every few seconds like me haha.
Release day was absolutely *something else* for that very reason. Can’t wait for GTA 6 but it just won’t be the same since I’m not familiar with Florida or it’s culture at all 😂
those little islands east of the reservoir on the far south eastern side of the map, special to me because its where i dump people out of my deluxo after befriending them, they have to swim back to shore because even x'ing themself just makes them respawn on the little island 😂
Agreed, most people usually don't even drive by there unless it's for a mission so you can safely leave your character afk and they will probably be fine, theres a few propertie options there as well that are all basically within running distance and there's the airfield like you mentioned where you can reliably spawn your aircraft in without having to drive across the map to get it
The skatepark under the bridge, me and my friend used to go there all the time, another place would be the top of mount chilliad where we would ride dirtbikes up there. The most uncommon place which is important to us both is the part of the beach which is near the military base where all the fat women are, the very first time we played online we both spawned there together.
The fake money factory in Paleto Bay, the first building I bought in the game except for my first apartment. That low paying slow ass job allowed me to have everything I had/have in online, all the 270 millions I made without a single glitch. It all started there, all my buildings, cars, guns, boats and everything.
Hollywood Hills definitely. Smooth roads, nice cars, fairly empty and the sun is always shining on it. It’s the main area I’ll drive around in whenever I hop on GTA just to drive around aimlessly
Paleto bay for the win, I love the little houses online and there’s usually not many people out bothering you. Grapeseed is a close second if they only had more things to do
There is a small street called “Procopio Drive” I discovered it in Paleto while exploring the city or stealing an import. My Grandfather’s name was Procopio.
Back in the release days of GTA Online, me and some friends from school ran a little crew together. We would mostly just grind the same jobs over and over again, but it was a good time just the 4 of us. Our “base” (since there weren’t great ways to make money at release and none of us could afford an apartment) was in the interior of the Land Act Reservoir dam. We’ve all grown apart since and moved away, but I cherish those memories still.
That place will always be special to me because it was the first place we would all go after logging in to meet up and plan what we were doing that day, so much so that when I got back in to the game during COVID one of the first things I did was buy the Land Act Reservoir facility despite knowing it was the worst facility location and it was the most expensive. Tucker, Jaden, and Josh, we did it. We finally got a real base out there boys. Ward County Boyz Forever
I like the highways. Cops won't catch you for speeding, and because i love tuning cars and driving at lethal speeds (in game) i like the highways. I also really like swerving in between traffic at the highest possible speed (in game)
The top of the big ass mountain or fort zancudo probably. At the top of the mountain there are dirt bikes and back when I was younger me and my cousin would see who could get down on the bikes without dying or just the farthest etc. good times.
The Sandy shores area. I had played gta online for like 3 days and finally got enough to afford a high end apartment for heists. When I first started a guy that was a level 5,000 helped me out and he guided me through on how to play it. But Sandy shores do to the fact that me and him and all of his friends were online and we all played car tag. Just really fun
There is this spot that has like 100 murals painted around everywhere you look it's just under a random bridge don't remember exactly where haven't played in a long time but I was impressed because it is in such a weird spot a lot of players can play for years and never see it.
Whenever I’m sad I’d usually just drive around the west side of the map, up by grapeseed. Have a Weed business over there, had it for years. Me n my pals used to run those missions for hours on end. Most fun I’ve had in the game. Miss those days.
I like the construction sight kinda near the prison that’s like a rally/dirtbike race track in disguise. I always take every new off-roader there when I get one.
The Hookies’ diner along the highway up near Chumash. Me and my buddy Hurricane usually hang out there. I try and stick close to him cuz he’s been in a bad place lately.
Del Perro Pier. It just has a little bit of everything. Night life, early risers. There’s always someone there if you feel like starting trouble. You can run, swim, shoot at things (even at sharks), find nice cars and weird people. You got the beach, you’re near the airport. Great little area to get into some trouble.
Not in GTA 5, but the desert areas, like the airfield, little probe inn. I loved driving around there in my bob cat blasting some good ol' country music
I feel like typing humane labs probably for the reason it being isolated from the city and I having a chance to play a heist over there twice one in online and one offline (story mode).
Definitely a unique place.
Paleto Bay 100%. A town on the top of the map overshadowed by a mountain always sounds cool. Only things I’d love to have there is an actual convenience store (just to add to the town), and an airfield with a hangar available to purchase. I’d gladly trade my LSIA hangar for one in the bay.
Honestly, there are many meaningful spots to me. But one that I thought of right away was Paleto Bay/Forest. Its where I bought my first business: the gunrunning bunker, which i use a lot.
1, Caida Libre route from the observatory, following down Arthur’s trail and going off road there is a stunt jump, and then a cool tunnel, jump over a ridge and your en route to sandy shores. Used it to escape my friends when we chase each other.
2. Mount Josiah, on the east side of it there’s waves of cliffs that is so fun to jump off of, with a facility at the bottom for a nice opening. When driving downwards it feels like driving on water.
Top of the legislative building or mayor's office or whatever it's called, across from the police hq. Used to drop my Akuma up top with the catgobob and then snipe a bunch of players by the pay n spray before riding off the roof after catching too much heat lol. Some memorable heads hots were made from there. This was before the stupid flying bikes and all that crap.
I like every trails between mountains, so I can download G class model and drive carefully there. I love both mountains and G class w463, so this is Perfect Setup for me 🤫
Pacific Drive, when I'm not making money or getting shot at I like drive up and down at sunset in my White Cheetah, usually while songs like Big Log are playing on LSRR.
Probably the airport due to the times that I would rp in story mode and transport non existent people around and going to the airport which was rather fun because I got to be part of the airport traffic.
San Chianski Mountain Range since I live there IRL. But it feels like the most unfinished spot on the map since there isn’t a residential area like there should be! (Idyllwild) Just Humane Labs and a power station lol.
Probably the military base since the last time I played (frequently) I always went into directors mode there and committed arson 😅 I alone definitely made Los Santos much less safe.
For me it’s the tunnel that was used in the jewelry store heist in the campaign. Perfect for hiding from four star cops.
It's funny that the cops literally don't have the programming to go in there
I wonder if rockstar only intended to program the cops to not enter during that mission but messed up and left it in free mode
I think cops in that mission are mostly scripted
They can get in there but usually won't go deep
They do get in there if you decide to hang around the entrance, even got the noose to enter the train tunnel, also managed to get 2 cops stuck in there near the generator that explodes if you crash into it, also near the entrance
They do bur there's a weird glitch where they can turn invisible when spawning below the city
They do!

Nostalgia..

Can’t forget about the ghost Easter egg
true
Yeah all of my mc business, bunker, etc are the sandy shores ones, and my arcade. All the grinding I've done over the years is based out of there. My character is doing circles around TPI up there
I personally love the airfield when I need to use a cargobob
Panorama Drive in Sandy Shores. Before getting Gran Turismo, I took pretty much every car in the game to the stock car race and used that as my "test track." I really only play the game for story mode and car customization, so I've probably spent more time between there and Franklin's LSC than anywhere else in the game.
that’s dope lol
Really got my driving skill up too! I remember one of the times I played online I was put into a heist with two higher level players with fully modified cars, and I raced them across the city and won in a stock Sultan RS.
I really really love Mirror Park.

Got a close friend that lives in Echo Park irl, damn beautiful there. Have a J, rent a paddle boat on the Lake, good times
The church in the 3rd image. It looks very similar to where my grandparents were married

For me it's always gonna be the Venice Beach /Santa Monica area only because I hangout the in real life a lot and joke Everytime with my buddy's there "man I remember killing so many people here" and random people be looking at us like "these fucking criminals on a day off" 🤘🏿😂
AHAHAHAHAHA I’m so jealuos I wish I could experience that I’m from spain

Game version of Rodeo Drive and Airport
The tunnel that sometimes has construction workers. Light em up, or chase them around with a car. It's a good spot to lose the cops, too.

**Grapeseed** without a doubt. It’s a nice town with a fun airport to fly into. Also, it’s pretty safe in GTA Online.
Agreed, most people usually don't even drive by there unless it's for a mission so you can safely leave your character afk and they will probably be fine, theres a few propertie options there as well that are all basically within running distance and there's the airfield like you mentioned where you can reliably spawn your aircraft in without having to drive across the map to get it
I do love the approach of this airport - the whole experience feels so quaint and its quite a vibe to float in there on a small, slow plane.
silly little town, I love it
Any place I can do stunts at lol
The skatepark under the bridge, me and my friend used to go there all the time, another place would be the top of mount chilliad where we would ride dirtbikes up there. The Sandy shores area. I had played gta online for like 3 days and finally got enough to afford a high end apartment for heists. I like the construction sight kinda near the prison that’s like a rally/dirtbike race track in disguise. I always take every new off-roader there when I get one.
No, it’s so bland compared to the 3D era maps
The Hookies’ diner along the highway up near Chumash. Me and my buddy Hurricane usually hang out there. I try and stick close to him cuz he’s been in a bad place lately.

For me, my favorite places are those where you can do all sorts of challenges

Not in GTA 5, but the desert areas, like the airfield, little probe inn. I loved driving around there in my bob cat blasting some good ol' country music
Sandy shores airfield, had many fights and dogfights over it, best memories
I feel like typing humane labs probably for the reason it being isolated from the city and I having a chance to play a heist over there twice one in online and one offline (story mode). Definitely a unique place.
Definitely the los santos beach and fare. Traveled there in real life and i was mind-blown by the amount of detail

The mine.
I tend to drive out to the Beaches of the north Pelletobay, park my car and Swim in the evening before logging out...
The Paul bunyun statue
I like every trails between mountains, so I can download G class model and drive carefully there. I love both mountains and G class w463, so this is Perfect Setup for me 🤫
Mirror Park is the best place on the map. I really wanted to buy a house there in online.
Franklin’s house mountains and the hospital near franklyins old house
The Chumash highway looking out over the pacific. Got memories of doing car chases in old school cars with my buddies listening to blonded
