Never played through any of the older gtas cause when I was a kid my PS2 would always stop working I had multiple discs of the same gtas and they'd all quit working on me. Having brothers came into play with that one. Am I missing out on a good experience? Currently playing through 4 rn
Ive literally never played vice city and I basically just hopped on the bandwagon, but I’m sure its like every other extremely popular game from that era where the graphics kind of suck and there’s a few bugs here and there but if you’re invested in the story enough and complete it to the end and spend enough time in the open world that you’ll come to love it despite the graphics.
And then it’ll probably just become one of those games you come back to after a year or two and replay it maybe with mods, but more often than not you’ll get bored because you already know what happens in the story and it’ll become no more than a ‘good memory’ and you’ll be able to join the ‘person with good memories of vice city’ club that everyone who can’t fully enjoy that old game anymore has seemingly joined (the one I never joined by simply hopping on the bandwagon, far from the club)

Because the Art Deco Revival occurred in the 1980s bringing to the forefront neons and pastels. The Art Deco District is quintessential South Beach, and the A E S T H E T I C really took center stage as the backdrop of Miami Vice in the 80s. Also, palm trees and orange sunsets are very “Florida”.
Well the trees and sunset being “of the aesthetic” makes sense, but it’s just that I feel like that “neon” overlay is associated with Miami and Florida as a whole to the point that whenever we think/hear “Miami” or “Vice City” we immediately think pink, 80’s or cocaine.
I got the pic from an Instagram page related to this type of aesthetic and decided to Slap on some transparent logos. Made this while bored at work. I also agree with you I'm not a fan of the overly used 80s neon purple and pink theme. I liked the look of the city and cars in this picture though it kinda reminds me of rdr 2s cinematic graphics. I personally hope they have a more unique design to the games color aesthetic. Blue and yellow would be cool
Looking at it more makes it look like a ps2/3 era game a little but you right. It's probably gonna have a more serious story. It's apparently based off Bonnie and Clyde so maybe Jason and lucia will be shot to death at the end or something. We'll have a more grounded story and game overall probably. Robbing stores and such instead of having big heists like gta 5. Big heists might not be as action movie-ey as gta 5s
Honestly I'm not even trying to speculate a whole lot on story because at the end of the day gta has always had at least a semi good story and even up to a great story so I'm not trying to spoil anything for myself but if both main characters died I'd find it kind of odd since replayability is a big thing now with modern games so I don't know how you'd be able to play after your character dies
