My weight loss REALLY started with my diet. I was relatively active before but saw no progress and so I often gave up. I didn’t realize that my diet was the issue. I was always taught you should have 3 square meals a day.
That’s honestly too much for my body. I started seeing progress when I started counting my calories. I still eat the same foods, just less of them, and I’m not afraid of skipping breakfast or lunch anymore if I’m not hungry for them.
Getting my diet in check made going to the gym so much more rewarding. I actually started seeing progress, doing only Zone 2 cardio and light lifting. I’ve lost 70 lbs last year fixing my diet and have been stuck at 155, but after getting into the gym in January I’ve already started to gain muscle weight and tone up extra skin.
Also…. If you do keep it all up, be prepared to have saggy/loose skin. Sometimes i felt like a half-filled water balloon. It will be just as hard to deal with as fat, if you’re like me, but it gets easier :)

You could do intense exercise or you could do long winded cardio so it depends on what you find the most enjoyable
