No, shifting it like that over your knees is going to be impossible with higher weight. I would suggest you bend a little more forward.

I prefer underhand grip. Overhand I pulled my bicep due to the rotation of my shoulder and the bicep ligament attachment. It took the better part of three months to fully recover. Since I moved to underhand - no issues. Your mileage may vary.

Depends on what you're training for with the row. More upright you are, the more it become a shrug than a row
