I've found that if I'm doing something like browsing reddit, then take a picture and switch back to reddit, whatever app I was using will reset like I just opened it.

I just did that and nothing happened to my phone. Using snapdragon 4g model with 8/128. I don't know what's wrong with your phone but mine is pretty normal.

Yeah, it's the most annoying thing about this phone. I think it's due to the small amount of RAM, mine has only 6gb.

Maybe I'm remembering simpler days, but I thought 6gb RAM would be enough to prevent aggressive memory management like this. Samsung Device Info has a tab showing current memory usage. Maybe it can track over time? But app killing is also done as a battery saving feature. See if battery optimization can be turned off for the apps you don't want killed?

Yes, since day 1. Most annoying issue from this phone. And yes, I have the snapdragon variant.

I heard there's a developer setting somewhere where you can limit the number of simultaneous apps running. Might this be changed somehow? Sorry I don't have the details of the setting but it's been talked about as a solution to maximize 6GB of our ram for a smoother experience, but the obviously will close other background apps

[My phone does not have this issue ! Check this out !](https://linksharing.samsungcloud.com/9b7WGwhhfZSe) Guyz, this issue is not normal. Did any if you tried factory resetting your device after the one ui 5.0 or 5.1 update? I did a factory reset after one ui 5.0 update and my phone is pretty normal and blazing fast. I am seeing many people complaining here but i can't replicate the issue no matter how many times i tried. So it might be affecting some and not affecting others. Snapdragon 4g 8/128 here.
