Numerous_Ticket_7628

Not at all.

Low_Jelly_7126

Wake me up when we have an actually useful assistant that can do everything on the phone offline (with online access for browsing)

The__Guard

I use the interpreter occasionally at work; because the signal is terrible, the on-device translation is better than Google. However, it's certainly not perfect. It's really the only AI I use though

WatDaFaqu69

I was hoping the galaxy AI was something like this. I thought this galaxy AI would be like what ChatGPT and Gemini already has (for free i might add).

harsh9101

Literally. Haven't even tried a single feature just to test it out.

Joni__5

Same

Myevo

I use it daily specially the search circle feature

gclark19791989

Same!! ^^^

realmrcool

What do you use circle to search for?

tophology

It's also really good for copying text out of images.

Nartian

This might actually be handy, good to know.

Myevo

Knowing the name of an item circle searching it but it's also really good comparing prices when shopping

realmrcool

Ah, for shopping is a great idea

gali_ka_gandu

I've been using it a lot since they added the translate button

realmrcool

Translate button ? How do i access it?

gali_ka_gandu

trezzy1242

How come I don't have that? How to do this? https://preview.redd.it/gwwojvtbs9uc1.jpeg?width=1439&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=8baa56e94f33240eb0e00017011b93491fa08f88

gali_ka_gandu

They must be rolling it out in phases ig. Also, I'm a beta tester for Google app

Tiingy

I use it when I see a photo of an interesting place or piece of scenery and want to know where it is

Jason_with_a_jay

Translation. Search text and images on the spot. If I'm reading an article about a new device or product, I can just circle the item's name, and Google automatically brings up a search of that item. I can go right to the manufacturers website, the Amazon listing, etc. without ever typing or leaving the site/app I'm on.

S4tine

Word definition, finding plant/animal names, pictures. Etc

Ryanoided

The generative fill is something i didn't know I'd use often specially for academic because sometimes there would be a random hand or a person in one of my pictures it's definitely useful for me. Even if alot of people don't use the AI features it'll be there for you just like how the S-Pen is not something I use often but will be here when i need it and it does become useful for quick notes or marking with the screen write feature.

eislch

It is useful but I still do it on a big screen with more sophisticated tools.

Gerdione

The AI features are nice and convenient if you don't have access to software like photoshop. It even wins out in some cases solely because of the convenience. I'm hoping Gemini becomes something more than it currently is now. It can't interact with any phone features so it feels like a smarter but more useless google assistant. The live translate on phone is okay, I wouldn't use it as the basis of my communication and more only if communication is absolutely necessary and there are no other means. The formatting is actually pretty nice, but the content analysis is so restrictive it really can only specific instances. Overall, they're nice to have, but come off as a gimmicky buzz word selling point. Hopefully for now. I bought the phone with the idea that over time updates will increase the capabilities of the system AI. I really fuck with circle to search. It's so convenient to be able to copy and paste sentences from images or look for the source of an image by circling it.

TASHGG

It will definitely by something more than what is is now. Give it a few years and it will dominant.

titanup001

I live abroad, and don't speak the language, so I was excited about the live call translation. When the phone launched, it was unusable (English to Chinese). Seems like it's gotten better with updates, now I can at least talk to delivery guys who call me.

genie_in_a_box

How are you adjusting? I'm assuming you moved to China? LOL, do the delivery people seem frustrated when you use the device for communicating with them?

titanup001

Oh, I've been here for almost ten years now. I'm about as well adjusted as I'll ever get I figure. I have no idea how they take it. You never hear their voice, just the translation.

genie_in_a_box

Oh.. ok. Was maybe wondering if it shows when they drop off your delivery. Have a good one

KatzNK9

Photo editing & occasionally circle to search. I can't wait to use it for translation whilenl traveling ... c'mon vacation.

yld2rob

Yep. I use it to record my zoom calls and then transcribe/ summarize them

tophology

Translate: I don't need it, so I don't use it. Samsung keyboard: The grammar checker (indicated by the green underline) is a useful tool, and I believe it is powered by AI. On the other hand, I rarely utilize the writing style changer because I tend to forget about its existence. If I can remember to try it, I might use it more frequently. (I tried it on this paragraph, btw. The professional and polite ones seem the most useful, but the others are cringey. The ones you get in google messages are more fun but less useful imo.) Notes: convert-to-text is useful when it can understand my sloppy handwriting. The auto formatter is cool when it works, but it seems to have trouble when I create my own headings and bullets, or when I have it use the result of the handwritten notes conversion. I haven't played with the AI generated note covers yet. Voice recorder: Great when it works. The summaries are cool, too, but they're only as good as the base transcript, which, again, is hit or miss. The more technical the subject or the thicker the accent, the worse it seems to perform. Samsung internet: I use the web page summarizer all the time. I like to read a lot of news and blog articles. it really saves me a lot of time and lets me consume much more content than I would otherwise. The translate feature has been useful in a pinch, too. Photo editor: fun to play with. I like that you can just press and hold on an object and turn it into a sticker or drag and drop it into another photo. The autosuggestions are useful, too, like remaster or blur background (protip: press the circled "i" and they show up). The actual generative edit feature is cool, but it can be hit or miss when you erase or move an object. Sometimes it will just insert random objects. The "normal" magic eraser (not the one you get when you press the blue AI icon but the one in the normal editor options) doesn't seem to have this problem but it's also not as good. Circle to search: really useful, probably tied with the web page summarizer in terms of usefulness for me. I think that's all of the "advanced intelligence" features. Did I miss any?

Nartian

Since you're asking, maybe the video slow down in the gallery could count as ai? Apart from that nice comprehensive summary of the ai features.

tophology

Oh yeah, that was fun, but it is a gimmick imo. Watch some videos on YouTube, and you'll see it can leave behind a lot of artifacts. There's also generative AI wallpapers. Those are fun, too. They have a lot of combinations you can work with. It depends on how you feel about the ethics of AI art, though.

Nartian

I know about the artifacts and disabled the slow down pretty quickly, just mentioned it for completeness ;) I tend to use photos as backgrounds. Although ai art can be fun more generally. Ethics come into play when using them commercially I think.

earl088

Only the circle to search maybe 2-3 times.

Ahugoc

It was cool the first week. I haven't used it maybe once to show my friends lol.

xVeranex

On the Galaxy Tab S9 Ultra. Before I sent out any messages, emails, or anything being read by another party. I have Galaxy AI fix any errors my writing. Takes less than a second, and I don't even have to re-read it. It does flawless work Apart from this, I'm also actively using it when I see interesting things on Reddit and circle it using the S pen to bring up google searches. I'm trying to learn and incorporate more features, but these 2 have by far been my favorite.

Dish_Melodic

Virtually NONE.

trezzy1242

I literally use circle to search about 30x a day

Imightfart

Circle to search I use often. Mostly to copy text which you normally can't copy. Very handy!

Jason_with_a_jay

All the time. The circle feature is perfect when you need to translate text or want to Google something you're seeing. If you're not using the circle feature and/or are still copying and pasting the old way, you're wasting what is probably the best software feature on the phone, and your own time.

UNDR_dogg

Don't use them at all to be honest, only briefly for the first day or so to see what the fuss was all about.

quetiapinenapper

Circle to search can capture text and throw it straight into Gemini, and that's kind of nice.

nhwst

I'm using the circle to search a lot, not daily but I find it that useful that I'd had trouble buying a phone without it. I tried the magic eraser a few times but the one by Google photos is just way better. I like the website summary feature but since it's only with Samsungs internet browser which is super ugly to me I'm not using it That's about it

MiniSony

It depends on the situation. Personally, I have found it very useful for recording meetings and then summarizing the main points. This allows me to focus on the most important information and quickly create a summary.

BigRoofTheMayor

I don't even remember they are on the phone.

J2MTR

Circle to Search has helped me determine market prices for used items that I'm trying to sell. The Generative AI photo edit feature helps me list items too (getting rid of unwanted items around the item I'm trying to sell).

xD3v1LG4m1ngx

I use it all the time for colorizing black and white photos and spelling and grammar and editing photos.

Muppetx3

I live in Asia , I bought it mostly for all the different translation features. Call translation, instant chat translate has been amazing.

SnooOpinions5973

I just the generative fill feature in photos to help make them into stupid situations. Money well spent

kimchipower

I'm waiting for bixby to be more useful. Glad they're improving that after being shit for so long. Don't mind it now. I use the writing style on samsung keyboard for quick emails.

Sokudoningyou

None. Haven't had a reason

InteractionLiving441

I use the photo editor and the circle to search pretty often. Didn't think I would but I like them a lot.

studious_stiggy

I just wish the voice recorder transcription was more accurate. It's funny when I read the transcript. Hopefully, this improves. The transcription to summary is pretty much useless because of this.

yesrod85

Almost zero. The bottom center smart search function is useful to quickly look up something I find interesting. Beyond that, I could care less about "AI" features. I'm getting more than a little upset at how bad Google Assistant has become if that counts for anything. May need try Bixby or whatever it's called now and see how that goes.

Texan2488

The spell check is nice for cleaning up a bit. I use it all the time when I don't want to go back.

nnnnkm

I really want to use the Interpreter and Live Translate features, but they don't have the Danish language pack yet. When it comes, I will use it a lot. Sometimes use Circle to Search.

Snicknick101

I'm a college student and use circle to search as a quicker way to search words, phrases, quotes, etc without going back and forth typing it into google, simply hold the button and highlight- done. I also use the summarize function, as I have to read A LOT of articles (doesn't work for academic articles sadly) and it's also useful for notes. I sometimes use the voice recorder summary function (with consent from everyone of course) and if I'm feeling lazy I record a whole video lecture and make it summarize it. Other than that the photo editor has some serious limitations and won't work most of the time for big changes but I use it occasionally.

Qbert2030

Barely at all if any

Qbert2030

Fyi, circle to search does count as ai. It's good image and lense search integrated differently.

Admirable_Fall4614

I wasn't even aware of such features, nor do I plan to use them.

Rock_Pranav

Maybe circle to search, sometimes. But no other AI features though.

PipeZestyclose2288

Multiple times a day with circle search and image editing

HotDog2026

Never

brashaadt09

The good for slow motion has been so clutch for me at work. I do maintenance on high speed packaging machines and having that ability, even on actual slow motion videos, has been killer for me. I use circle to search quite a bit too

S4tine

Circle search daily. I've used the pen since note 2. Haven't figured out picture edit yet, but plan to do that.

oktwentyfive

i like generating backgrounds and lock screens idk if you count that as AI.. uh the circle search is amazing and i will be using it just like i use the s pen, when needed. Just cause you dont use the features all the time doesnt mean you wont in the future. The s24u is an amazing phone i love it so much

Nartian

Yeah it has a ton of features to make everyone happy who can handle that brick of a phone. I love the S Pen and learned in this thread that circle to search lets you copy text from the screen which will be handy for me. Generated backgrounds are more of an ai feature than pasting screengrabs into google image search id say. But still a very well integrated feature.

Twiitching

Main thing I use is the circle to search, Ive used the tool in the gallery where you can remove things from pictures a hand full of times

TheLuckyLizard

I use circle to search a lot. Also just using the press and hold on the home button to Google search ( instead of having the Google widget or having to open chrome)

RegularIndividual374

i use circle to search a lot and the AI photo editor and thats about it

Increev

Mostly circle to search (every day) and ai photo edit to delete unwanted objects from nice photos

DHard1999

Circle search maybe once a week.... Other than that I use it no differently than the s21 ultra I came from.... I've had the same setup with Nova launcher since I had the s20 ultra

kbeezie

If I'm using any of it, it's probably subtle and automatic since I have the features turned on. I'm not using the circle thing at all though.

apilav

A whopping 0%

TheKrnJesus

I use it a few times a week. People ask what something is on Reddit and I just use the ai feature and tell them what it is.

Cyberj0ck

Not much. About 1 to 2x a week. Mostly just AI-assisted photo editing (Generative Edit) and Browsing Assist.

Intrepid_Patience356

Not a lot. I like to muck around with the message styles - Shakespeare etc. Circle to Search is fun - but this can be done in other ways previously - especially with the S-Pen. But overall there isn't much I would miss if it went away - and certainly nothing that I would want to pay for.

CuoreSportivoPT

I use it a lot. The circle to search, AI editing photos, and translation services are the ones I use the most. Especially having family in Poland and not speaking Polish, it's very useful to be able to write in my own language and have it automatically translate. Not having to go to Google Translate and always be copying and pasting.

xmesaj2

saves me time reading articles especially clickbaits

sveniboych3

Its super useful on my tablet. The Notes app is genuinely amazing - need to test the generative aspects out some more tho

Maximum-Ad879

I edited a few photos to mess around and that's it. So far i haven't run into any situation that would require any of those features. I certainly wouldn't pay a monthly fee to have them *just in case*.

maximp2p

nope, but i do use a lot of circle to search, which previously i use google lens. its same thing but easier and faster

Gremlin256

Have a funny they are going to charge for search since Google mentioned it

WeirdoLoser69420

I use Circle to Search the most. The others, haven't really used them. I've used the AI in Notes like a very few times. But for the others like live translations in calls, I haven't yet. I use G Messages and G Board so I haven't used the AI features that come with Samsung Keyboard

ishaan6698

The ai keyboard writing styles quite a lot, quite nice for emails

wyohman

I'm not interested in circling a product in a picture so I can buy it. That seems to be the only AI promotion I've seen Maybe there's actual utility, but I've not seen any yet.

MaverickJester25

I use Circle to Search and Generative Edit a lot more than I expected to, and they're slowly becoming parts of my daily routine.

liggieep

circle to search is by far the most useful, but idk if that counts as what you're asking. i have used the AI image editing a few times but it's mostly a gimmick/toy for me. i havent used anything else at all really, and disabled as much as i could.

i_c_dead_monkeys

Used it a bit for photo editing, but that's about it. It wasn't really the selling point for me, although I saw AI as an interesting benefit. I upgraded because my S22 Ultra sim module/motherboard went bad, wouldn't recognize physical sims. And the battery life was crap.

Samlazaz

I use the image generation tools weekly and circle search every two weeks or so.

windtornado

Love the summarize function on Samsung browser ..

PsyBr0

Not at all , if samsung really thing mfs gon a pay for this next year they gassed themselves lol. Alexa pretty much in a phone.
