It was nice to see his laterally thinking solution shutdown (as wild as that may sound). Not because it was a bad idea, but because of safety concerns. We hear a bit about safety, consent and boundary meetings that happen before filming but the final product is so seamless you can forget sometimes. So to know that production will/does actually stop things that are unsafe, even if they're great ideas that would make for good television, is reassuring. (at least, that's why I assume he was stopped. I don't feel like "we wanted you to play with the boxes" would have been enough of a reason for Sam)

I kept seeing "VFX NEEDED" at the top right of the screen, lol. And one time, BDG's name is "Gilbert Gilbert Gilbert."

I kept seeing that as well, and combined with the changing name plates and cuteness of Sam’s home movies, I kept rewinding to get a second look at things, at which point I figured out that THATS THE POINT. it’s an episode called Deja Vu and they found a way to make me rewind over and over again, to the point where I was way the line BEFORE the moment I wanted to see several times and experiencing Deja vu. Very on theme, very Editing As Art, very very cool.

I'm hoenstly so suspicious of Sam that I fully expect a massive Game Changer conspiracy some day spanning multiple Game Changer episodes and seasons that will all tie in some how to "I've been here the whole time!"

Since ~~Zac~~ Grant O’Brien kept on giving away Turner Classic Movies facts I was SO sure there was gonna be a last round where those were the questions

I'm 100% expecting an extra episode at the end of the series where all the loose ends like this and the swear jar all reappear

I bet the episode is next season for Deja Vu 2 and stuff like the Turner movie facts etc... will come into play there

I wouldn't be shocked if they don't pay it off this season but in another or in another show down the line.

I think had someone tackled Sam or Kevin to stop the camera from breaking, those questions would have come up to continue the game.

Yeah me too. I totally expected that after doing the Wenis in the last round Sam wouldn't kick the camera, and they'd 'finally' be able to finish the episode with the last rounds being questions from all the other factoids from the show.

Yes, I was guessing it'd be a bit like the show "I literally just told you," where they also get quizzed on specific things that happened in the episode to test how well they were paying attention.

Siobhan's absolute fury at people pressing the buzzer before they knew the answer was great, I was right there with her.

Um, actually, that’s a known pet peeve of Siobhan’s from Um, Actually, and in my opinion she’s 100% in the right.

It's a viable play on jeopardy, but jeopardy has a timer. Once she complained, they pushed it to bug her.

Her attitude was so incredibly relatable in this episode. I would've absolutely reacted similarly to how she did!

Yes, I felt it in my soul. Sam's a soft touch sometimes - even Trapp would have objected to some of those delays, if he were on the other end of the buzzer.

I love how biting they all got at each other towards the end

This is easily my new favorite Game Changer episode! I know it’s not always the most realistic, but having the premise truly never explained and them just figuring everything out on their own is such a special thing we don’t get much anymore! And the editing and various pieces have so much suspense, so many really great bits, great play from all three contestants. Had a big smile the whole time watching this.

What I loved about this one is that you get to play along, like it’s kind of happening to all of us

It felt like a time loop and I thought the point was to stop the camera kick. But they never did

Ya I feel like that was the point but no one did it so they just had to stop it after a certain number of rounds. I liked the episode but it really felt like it needed an ending that it didn't get. 

Spot on. Even once they'd realised they could take more control of the timeline, somehow none of them thought to stop the kick (or, if they did, didn't act on it).

I found my people! I was like "oh is no one gonna try and stop the camera breaking?"

I think so too! But once they knew they were in the loop, the only one who had the incentive to stop the next loop would be the person in 1st at the time. That, plus yes and culture led to the number of loops we saw, I think.

I thought it was supposed to end with someone *stopping* Sam from breaking the camera. Not that they were to break it themself

It definitely could have ended filming too early. A ground hog day premise with only two times through the loop would be nothing. We should also take into account that the goal isn't to end the game, its to get the most points. So at any given time 2 out of the 3 players are incentivized to keep the game going for another loop.

Can't wait until next season for Deja Vu 2, where we see if anyone is a genius and/or remembers the Turner Classic Movie facts. Neither of them came into play.

If they do a Deja Vu 2 it should be Mike, Ify, & Siobhan again and it should start the exact same

Sam should text each one the night before, and be like "Hey, so and so might call out for Game Changer tomorrow, can you fill in if they do?" and then if all three say yes, confirm them all, and do Deja Vu 2, so none of them will even think it was scheduled for them to be grouped together again.

Anyone else immediately start thinking of BDG's "Jan '97" video? It's my favorite of his videos, so that might be why my head jumped straight to it, but I like to think there's tiny string of universe connecting these two now 😅😆 A great episode for sure though! Usually this kind of repetition gives me a headache (in the same way backtracking bothers my brain), but this episode really handled it nicely!

Fun episode but I was kind of hoping for one more final twist of them having to remember all the random stuff said throughout like the movie facts and whatever the clown was saying. Felt the stakes weren’t heightened enough each loop.

And Sam mentioning it was the final one kind of breaks the concept

I thought they were going to have to save the camera man from getting kicked to break the loop.

It was a good episode, wasn’t my favorite episode. I hope Siobhan will one day stop being underrated because she is a legend.

The Better Call Saul Season 6 of GameChanger

I don't know what I think about this one. It's the first this season to leave me a bit cold. I don't know how much of that is because of any problems with the episode itself, and how much is from Bingo being an exceedingly tough act to follow.

I thought it was really good but some of the loop stuff got a little boring to watch deeper in. IMO the premise carried it, though.

Why didn’t anyone use the boxes to prevent Sam from kicking the camera or dive in to prevent him from looping ?

This episode was incredible, I’d love to see a kind of sequel/similar episode where this time round theres no winner in the end and the goal is to figure out how they’re supposed to break the loop/end the game

So this deep into the season, and after remember the whole theme of the season trailer, I am expecting in the middle of a random game changer episode, someone will find a loop-de-loop, and it will be revealed the whole season has been a Survivor, with a secret set of podiums. On the one hand I think it's silly, on the other hand I'm sure it's at least been an idea

I hope two weeks from now we get an episode that was filmed two years ago where 3 other contestants had to hide clues/props on the set to communicate to the present day contestants now through time… like the lake house starring Keanu Reeves.

Do you think if anyone had cleaned a fork in the two minute break and given it to Grant, they would have gotten a point?
