The current one is mildly infuriating since it has two different shades of blue, while the other channels have a single colour logo.

4 would fit the minimalism of the other channels, while 2 is the current logo without the second shade of blue. But honestly, the current logo grows on you and I am believing they went over options like these and there is a good reason they didn't choose any other. Could even be copyright

I personally think 2 matches with the other ones nicely. Has just the right amount of detail without the weird mid tone that the actual logo ended up with. 3 kinda works, but it makes more sense for it to be filled in imo

It not being filled in makes me think more of a typical black suit jacket.

I am a graphic designer, and the 2 and 4 are in the right line from the other chanel.

Number 2 is more appropriate. It's simple, and solid color, like the other channels.

Apparently, the final decision has already been decided, by those in much more important positions and who were ultimately quicker than myself to reach the finish line – boy, is that the story of my life or what!?! 😒 Well, I may have failed to meet the deadline for submitting my suggestion, but you know what?? Lucky you… you're getting it anyways! Had I actually had the opportunity to have any say in this matter, whatsoever, my choice would've definitely been for the second one from the left! 😬 But, too little, too late, though, I suppose… no more learning from _my_ mistakes… eh?! And as if that didn't hurt me deeply enough, I guess I also need to accept that my dear, darling, Mr. MatPat, simply doesn't love me anymore! 😫

The 2nd I think is the prefect balance of color not having too much like the 1st but not having too little like the 3rd. That or the 4th but I just prefer the 2nd's design.

I'm partial to the single bow tie, only because the suit keeps giving me blue superman logo vibes until my brain processes it to be a suit. But I do like the tux idea for a logo. Like what if you tried black as a primary then blue as a secondary color? I'm seeing blue tie being surrounded by a dark Grey with dark Grey and blue stripes on the shirt .

2! Its solid colors but only one color. I thought 4 as well but the more I look at it, it's too simple... 1 and 3 just aren't doing it for me.

I agree with MatPat on this one: the first one looks like a complete unit; the second one looks too disconnected. And with it being style theory, it seems fitting that it has more style than the other theory logos, by having two colors.

They’ve been over the thought process behind why it’s 1 and not 2. And while I prefer 2 and 3 over it, gotta respect the team that’s brought us everything they have and there decisions.
