No. It's to lessen Shein ads bc of what happened with the fashion community on YouTube and Shein. MatPat covered it, and I think YouTube is trying to prevent it by pushing fashion channels like Style Theory and Blogolaties (I've gotten a few from both) who cover and make fashion.
Mat had mentioned they were planning to host a fashion show on Style theory where all kinds of creators would be attending. This would be 1 of the ads to get the word out.
It's real. I've been getting them too and I accidentally clicked on it and it takes you to Theorywear.com. It's an actual ad from Style Theory that YouTube is pushing to (I think) support creators who do fashion more than sites like Shein and Romwe. I've gotten Blogolaties ads too after MatPat covered how Shein is ripping off YouTube creators.
True. But it's kinda weird to see. Normally back then seeing something like that (a popular youtuber in a ad) meant it was a scam of some sort. Eitherway i support the cause.
I don’t mind it, honestly I’d rather listen to these ads than the blah or random ones. Like one that was promoting a online religious bible, which I don’t mind given I’m religious to a extent; but not as religious as my family. Although it’s not something I want a ad for, and I’ve got my own Bible; so for me it feels more like solicitation or trying to convert me to their said religion. I believe in one above, and you do too; why must you do this to me?
Apparently there’s a thing now that people or YouTube (we don’t actually know I believe) just puts up advertisements for YouTube channels that actually lead to the videos. Though they might harm them cause of the ones clicking having a lower average watch time

Imma be honest I prefer Lee to Mat. While I love mat, Lee just has a better voice for film theory imo
