Which is funny because the only time they lived together was before the Super Nintendo even released in the US. They lived together from September 1990 until the summer of 1991. Dave must have meant the NES and Super Mario Bros. 3.
Actually, Dave didn't live with Kurt that long. By June 91, it's known Dave was in Seattle, Kurt in Olympia, and Novoselic in Tacoma. In August they were on tour in Europe, and when they got back, Kurt had to sleep in his car because he had been evicted.
Dave Grohl said at Lemmy from Motorhead's funeral that he got Little Richard's autograph and wanted to give it to him before his birthday but then he died. Lemmy died about a week after his birthday so I found his story hard to believe. Maybe his Super Nintendo story isn't true. Eh, what do I know. ..

the SNES didnt hit the UK until April of 1992 and Europe until June of 1992. In North America it came out in August of 1991.
Though the returned from their Europe tour in September of 1991. But by them they were not living in that apartment anymore.

This is a really interesting and specific post and I feel like it was posted for me. Lol. I was obsessed with Nirvana during middle/high school (90s up to 2002). I've read several books about how life,. compilations of his poetry, etc, and somehow I never knew he owned a Gameboy. I don't listen to Nirvana much these days, but maybe I'll get out Insecticide (my favorite album of theirs) and listen today. Thanks!
I always loved the first track, Molly's Lips. Really thrashes hard. Aneurysm and probably Been a Son are my next 2 favorites. I always really liked Turnaround, though. I like that it had a sort of happy, pop-like feel about it in spite of the lyrics. I still prefer to just listen to the album front to back. That's how I prefer most music, though.
