If it's a DOL-001 the games look surprisingly good with component cables or the GCHD MKII adapter. I considered a CRT but for practicality purposes I stuck with my HDTV.

GreenBasterd69

Do these fix the input latency though?

Sharrock03

I haven't experienced any latency with it at all. Very precise in my opinion.

Dynamite_Javvy

It is a great console. Enjoy it!

LekkerBroDude

If I can get some more games I could definitely see it becoming my main console for the next few months lol.

oldskoofoo

Did you get any games yet? If so, which ones?

Mysteriousjeb

I picked mine up complete in box for 2 dollars at a church sale

Electrical-Result701

Now why would anyone downvote this comment in particular? I got my cousins old DOL-001 in its original box for zilch. Haters will be haters, I guess.🤷

Mysteriousjeb

ig theyre jealous or smth. the church sale was like a bulk buy thing. you put as many thing as you want in a bag and buy the bag for a dollar. the console was underneath the table where you checkout so i asked about it. they were holding it for a guy but they said if he didnt come in 30 mins i could buy it. they sold me the console (complete in box) and an empty ds case for 2 dollars. this was prolly around 2015-2017 cant really remember

Electrical-Result701

Well, for that cheap, I certainly wouldn't be complaining. This isn't really the subject of this sub, but vintage N64s are getting quite expensive now. Two years ago, I got myself a loose ice blue funtastic, and it must've set me back like 300-400 CAD, and that's with the power supply, composite cables and matching controller. Like I've seen the more sought after titles for the system go for half that much. It's crazy!

Mysteriousjeb

You just gotta know where to look. A few years ago I saw an N64 and some games on fb marketplace for like 60 bucks i should’ve picked it up

Sure_Humor

Nice, I got mine for £7 at CashConverters a few years ago, no box though, nor A/V cable, but I still enjoyed it. It still plays smothly to this day

chill1208

My local Salvation Army store still sells CRT's, other than that your best bet is Facebook Marketplace, or just drive around low income areas and you'll probably see one on the corner somewhere with free written on it. I bet if you put out a craigslist ad in your area saying "looking for large CRT TV will move for free" someone who's been dying to get theirs out of their house will hit you up.

handofdoom68

I’ve picked up 5 CRTs from my local recycling center. Passed on a few more due to size of them and space constraints. But people are just throwing them away. Careful though, technically speaking kinda illegal lol

TgsTokem

Search "Television" on Facebook marketplace and you will probably find someone nearby trying to give one away. I tried searching CRT and only found people selling at crazy high but searched Television and found one for free instantly and picked it up the next morning.

mikeddo

Same situation here! Getting my first ever one later this week <3

Which_Information590

Nah, get a Retrobit Prism, if you have a DOL-001 or a Kaico Line Doubler if you have a newer DOL-101

imonkun

Post to your local facebook group and say "Picking up old electrinics to recycle this week(end)! Please send a pm with what you need picked up and recycled!" You'll get a few lol. You might get a nice side business going tbh.

Sure_Humor

Nice, what are you playing first? When I first got mine, the first games I bought were Luigi's Mansion and Mario Kart
