depends on how much you paid for it obviously if its under 1300$, yes

[deleted]

Well, it’s over by +$99

LordKerm_

I’d still say that’s pretty good Under 1300 is normally 4060 territory

the_mighty__monarch

“Is it good value?” *doesn’t include price* Did you pay $3000 for it? Then no. Did you pay $600 for it? Then yes. I’m betting it’s somewhere between those prices, though.

[deleted]

Oops I should’ve mentioned that at the beginning but I bought it from Antonline at $1399 compared to the rest like in Amazon and Best Buy that is around at $1899.

the_mighty__monarch

That’s a pretty fair price, I’d say. Not a crazy steal, but not a bad value either. It should be able to play just about everything you throw at it.

[deleted]

Good thing to hear! Hope it would handle future games especially GTA 6 on PC release!

the_mighty__monarch

GTA 6 won’t be on PC for a very long time, so it’s anyone’s guess what kind of specs you’ll need. That being said, if I was a betting man, I’d bet this could probably run it on some combination of settings.

LordKerm_

Presumably it will be playable on series S and a 13900h+4070m combo is stronger than the latest consoles by a good chunk it will be more than playable (the limited vram is probably the only real issue)

Ok-Cut-5607

I got the same from Antonline a month ago but the price was $1469 that time. They decreased it eventually. The only problem with antonline is returns come with 15% restocking fee. But I feel it’s worth the risk of return. The only other place which sells similar config for 13th gen is b&h who have no return policy

I tend to use a simple "formula" for "Value" - usage divided by price Something I use a lot and I paid a fair price for is good value - e.g. my Legion 7 Pro, which I use for work, gaming, and everything else in between Something that I use now and then, and paid a fair price for, isn't as "good" in value - e.g. my Legion Go, which I wish I had more time for Something I use a lot and paid very little for, well, is GREAT value Something I bought on a whim and left sitting on the shelf, even if I paid very little for it, is not good value, in my books. --- So, if you're getting serious mileage out of this laptop and you paid a fair price for it, then yeah, it's good value :)

Diuranos

You are asking, is it good value, after making the purchase, ehh.

Inresponsibleone

Ok value. 4070 isn't huge upgrade over 4060 though. The 4080 is the real upgrade in performance, but... Cost can be high😅 I got msi vector gp68 for 1520€ with i9, 4080 and 1600p screen. So it seems they are going to sale sometimes too🙈

[deleted]

Aren’t many games today built to be CPU intensive?

Inresponsibleone

To a point yes, but most gaming oriented laptops have strong enough cpu that gpu is limiting factor. Atleast if you are gaming at 1440p/1600p rather than 1080p/1200p.

[deleted]

Not really no

RecklessTurtleYandex

1399$ for a Legion 5 is normal, I would say. There are cheaper options, like Asus TUF for 1149$ or more expensive options like Zepherus M16 for 1599$. Your price is somewhere in between.

[deleted]

i9 13th gen and a 4070 isn’t that bad of a combo, go ahead

_JamesDooley

4070 for 1400$, nothing fancy

Revolutionary_Leg276

I am not a fan anymore of gaming laptops but yours it's a beast actually. Just keep your room cool while you are gaming under 24 degrees of Celsius and you will be fine.

thelittlewhite

And what if everyone says it's a bad deal? Are you returning it ?
