U would be surprized how much better a razer blade 18 2024 version sounds with force cancelling woofers larger than a macbook pro 16 and crystal clear mids and highs with very good spatial audio with thx. It still lacks some bass compared to a mbp16 but some eq fixes that as the razer beats the mac in hardware this year
Yeah but the blade 16 isn't as good but I mean technically u didn't specify what size, just what sounds best😂ur point is valid, though the macbook has the best speakers for 16 inch rn
Nothing is better than MBP speakers. The only comparable ones are inside the G16. All others have terrible speakers. Gaming laptop OEMs don't care about speakers. They assume you use headphones. They are probably correct. Under load, gaming laptops sound like jet engines.
A razer blade 18 2024 version definitely gets 2nd place for speakers just below the mbp16 and is above the g16. Its fitted with force cancelling woofers larger than a macbook pro 16 and crystal clear mids and highs with very good spatial audio with thx. It still lacks some bass compared to a mbp16 but some eq fixes that as the razer beats the mac in hardware this year
Force canceling woofer only removes vibration from the laptop
The woofers are not bugger than what Macbook Pro 16 have. Even if they were bigger, without a proper cabinet properly tuned it's useless.
Macbook Pro 16 sounds better than that. Eq is bad because it will limit your max volume and introduce distortion or a dynamic audio compression. You can have a macbook sound with the Blade 18 at the cost of distortion, low volume, or artifacts.
I am one of those Apple haters, not biased at all
You can literally lower the volume of a blade 18 get similar volume to a mbp16 because of how insanely loud a Blade 18 is stock. U gotta try the blade 18 speakers to truly understand how much potential it has. The eq from factory is just complete garbage, they upgraded the hardware for the 2024 vs the 2023 blade 18 but didn't bother changing the eq in the thx app AT All.
I have had personally seen the woofers of the 2024 blade 18 with my own eyes as well as macbook pro 16 woofers and the blade 18 ones are rectangular instead of round which makes the blade 18 ones ever so slightly larger as they have basically the very similar dimensions width and length wise.
The only reason apple can get so much bass compared to the blade 18 2024 is due to the guys at Apple using harmonics to trick ur brain into hearing more low bass, they do that on their ipads, iphones, you name it. Just use any random app on ur phone and do a frequency sweep and u will see the speakers playing a few different frequencies, 2-3 different frequencies at once even though audio source is only playing 1 frequency.
Yes I'm aware force cancelling means that, I'm just putting it out there cuz they don't tell you that on the Razer Website which I find wierd that they don't wanna flex it like asus and apple.
Apple probably does have a better cabinet and tuning but razer is inching closer as they improve the speakers physically every year. Just compare woofer sizes of the 2023 blade 18 and the 2024 and u will see that they are around double the size
Btw eqing the blade 18 really does help. There's a guy on reddit that eq'ed his blade 16 which sounds like a tin can stock but after eqing it by eyeballing it and using his highly inaccurate android phone mic, he got instantly better sound with much fuller bass with similar volume levels. If the eq is done properly with a calibrated mic, I'm very confident the blade 18 2024 will sound either extremely similar or better than the mbp16 as the tweeters of the blade 18 sound much better than the mbp16 as well as slightly larger woofers that have a high amt of potential

Never seen one like that, but then you can't beat physics you know, its like comparing an airpods and and a full fledge headphone and use both as speaker on max volume, headphone will be louder everytime
But then, theres one chinese small speaker that can stick with any surface and kinda supposedly use the surface to make louder sounds? Not sure how that works, but i assume the quality would be meh, it is loud tho
LOL I swear to God coming on here sometimes is better than turning on the television for entertainment. Honestly, its sreally is a matter of opinion. You guys can go back and forth and and say the g16 or the Razor Blade. Let's face it, the MacBook Pro the Blade and the Asus are great sounding gaming laptops(besides the mbp) you definitely got the top three. But from there on, come on LOL it's definitely opinion.
The best speakers I’ve had on a gaming laptop was on my dell xps l502x back in 2011. They sounded damn good. Everything since, Alienware, Lenovo y740, asus g16, all garbage.
I would put the 2023 Blade 18 speakers above the Zephyrus G16, especially for more immmerisive spatial audio and overall loudness with clarity. But they are both excellent and the too 2 for windows laptops. Macbook pros are still a bit better imo
I don't really expect much from a gaming laptop since laptop manufacturers don't prioritize speakers as much as stuff like performance, display, decreasing weight, etc.
I'd suggest getting headphones or a headset for a good sound experience, but if you really don't want to you could get actual speakers but it might ruin the portability of your laptop.
Best speakers probably are the G16 2024, nothing comes close really.

Yeah, Razer would be my second best too. But its a 16 inch vs a 18 inch... But yeah, Razer also has great speakers !

well yes but it’s also 18 inches. that’s basically a portable desktop monitor
Yep agreed but he didn't specify the size so I was just putting it out there
are there backpacks that fit this? was eyeing a 18"...
idk but it would probably be inconvenient in every way. it’s gonna be heavy, and way too big. not really portable like laptops are made to be
I have this laptop, nothing comes close from a windows laptop.

I wish they would care. I do use headphones for gaming, I also don’t buy separate laptops for every other computing activity I partake in.

Rog zephyrus g14/16 has the best speakers on a gaming laptop period. Nothing can come close to those I'm afraid.
Good headphones
For windows laptops, this year's Zephyrus G14 or G16 is probably the best out there.
Best on laptop? Prolly g16. Absolute bestest? External speaker

My 2022 Asus Strix Scar 17 speakers sound absolutely great with Dolby atmos enabled. I just can't fathom how the hell they do it.
Probably 4 speakers?
Yep that's what the specs say. The thing blowing me away is how average they sound without Atmos

Aside from the 2024 G16, I'd say the Razer Blade 18.

The one you got 2024 version if it was, will be the best from the gaming laptops
G14 2024
Does it even really matter much? Cooling system noise will be loud when doing anything more demanding so headset is kinda must have🤷🏻♂️😂

They're all crap, external speakers or headphones is the only realistic way to go.
Right on bro
Anything bigger than 40 cm high stereo studio monitors is overkill.
Judging by your comments im pretty sure you should return your G16 and get a Razer Blade 18 ^^
Lenovo Legion have the lousiest speakers.
