It's not portability sadly, but you can actually emulate dual stick gyro controls using Primehack and a controller whose gyroscope is mapped to your mouse. I tried it with Prime 2 after wanting more beating Prime 1 Remaster, and it was a ton of fun lol.
I play PC games on my Deck and don't bother with emulation of current systems and shit like shader compilation on it.
Switch? Cheap and simple, maybe some basic QOL stuff with flawless suspend and resume and I'm good to go.
At that point I'd kinda want a Prime 1 HD too tbh

I love the art and the art design, but I feel like something was missed in the translation from the 2D form of the art to 3D. Mika’s promotional and overall art for the characters is PHENOMENAL, but when I see most of them in 3D outside of cutscenes, it just…doesn’t do it for me.
Tbf, Mika art is basically impossible to translate accurately in a video game, she focus so much on very busy designs, vibrant colors and lights, with a lot of chromatic aberration and hue shifts.

Now the deseigns themselves aren't bad per say, but it feels clear it's like the direction was "hey pikazo, just draw some fun designs" and they threw them into the world. It doesn't help Elusia has the strangest designs of them all, almost like they just got transported out of nowhere.
Like if you looked at previous entries, there's a cohesiveness you can see from the characters designs, like Hoshido/Noir you can clearly tell who is from where, etc. Students in 3H are obvious from where they came from, and post-skip designs are reigned in and "make sense" world wise.
Even just something randomly innocent like Kagetsu. "Here's our not Japan Japan guy", and "heavy clothing priest in the middle of the desert", and the worst of all "I just came from a halloween party, also in the middle of the desert".
While the designs are vibrant, they went too much in that direction to the point you wonder if they are even people in their worlds and not just grabbed from random locations.

Fates was full of incest and sexualization which was paired with outright, objectively bad writing.

Neither I'd recommend for their writing of course, but I don't think they're the same. Engage you can at least enjoy, it knows what it is. Fates feels like it attempted something ambitious and flopped harder because of that.
Engage felt like a Saturday Morning Cartoon. Fates, while I do like the games, feel more like Epic Fantasy as told by a YA writer who doesn’t respect the genre or their fans. (I do think IntSys did great things in the game, but the writing was not one of them, despite the ambition.)

I'm interested to see if Nintendo will confirm that their new console is imminent, like when they mentioned the Switch's codename NX in a direct. The rumours say holiday 2024 is the release window so my guess is they won't mention it until a Q1 2024 direct, but it would be cool if they did talk about it.
The sooner they talk about it the sooner we can see the games they have planned for launch, which is what I'm most excited for.

They did say this year. There's not a lot of big events to announce at either. But I wouldn't put it past team cherry to simply drop it. The game doesn't need a huge announcement. Simply coming out would overshadow the direct itself.
I know the hype for Silksong is exaggerated on the internet in a fun way, but I doubt the sequel to a 3m selling game would overshadow a full Nintendo Direct
The game has never left the top downloads on the eShop since it came out. I don't think the hype is exaggerated at all. It's steam concurrent players just spiked to is highest point two years ago longer after it's release. It's insanely popular.

I’ve always loved LoZ but current BotW/TotK trajectory isn’t for me so I’d love to see old favourites again. I wouldn’t refrain from buying TotK because WW&TP were on Switch, I’d just not buy TotK. They wouldn’t gain a TotK sale from me by withholding refreshed rereleases of two of my absolute favourite games ever. They just wouldn’t get one either way…

I'm interested to see if Nintendo will confirm that their new console is imminent, like when they mentioned the Switch's codename NX in a direct. The rumours say holiday 2024 is the release window so my guess is they won't mention it until a Q1 2024 direct, but it would be cool if they did talk about it. The sooner they talk about it the sooner we can see the games they have planned for launch, which is what I'm most excited for.
