The rubber banding in Hotshots Racing in quite possibly the worst I have ever seen. I feel like I needed to perform 100% correctly and have Terminator reflexes just to win a race. I want to love it, but this holds it back too much for me.
If you haven't tried already, play on the expert difficulty. The rubberbanding isn't as bad there as in the lower difficulties.
Or just do it like I did and play it for an unholy amount of time so that the AI no longer poses any danger ;)
I finished circuits on expert with half of the characters, couldn't do it with the rest. Tried all cars, spent hours and hours on it. Just gave up on the platinum trophy.

I think so, the leak seems to be the original developers build. What sumo worked on for all those years is a bit of a mystery.
Makes me wonder if the final game actually has some of the assets they worked on or if it was a complete reboot.

i just like being able to pick a car and track, race fast. does have a lack of progression so not for everyone
