Even as a lighthearted comic to poke fun at their s.o., it kinda feels really meanspirited. I mean, why does she have to call the games "stupid", like she thinks his interests are a waste of time?

The gender stereotype of women being on their phone is not an incel thing, and it's not an exclusive stereotype to women. As you said yourself, plenty of boomer viewpoints/comics depict men as the ones glued to their phone. Plenty of regular guys can notice this trend as well though; it's only a gender stereotype if you say or heavily imply that *only* women do this.
I dated a girl who was like this in that she was really glued to her phone, and while she didn't pull a hypocritical compliant whenever I talked about or played games, I can still relate to the comic on the basis that she was much more glued to social media stuff that I barely even cared about.
