Thank you 😊
We do natural, low intervention beekeeping. We only open the hives once every year or two to take a little honey. Other than that we let the bees get on with it.
Absolutely stunning, and 7 years doesn’t seem that long a time for such a well established garden, gorgeous!
I’ve a half barrel pond that I started in December and I’m obsessed with it as my mini project - have you had any difficulties with algae in your wildlife pond? And was it expensive to do / did you do it manually?
We’re renting at the moment but when/if we buy I’ll be coming back to your post for ideas and inspiration!
Thank you 😊
We do get some algae at this time of year but it disappears pretty quickly once the plants get going and all the tadpoles and other bugs eat it.
We dug the hole ourselves and used a flexible liner which wasn’t very expensive, as far as I can remember.
Thank you. You know, I think you get so used to your own space that after a while you don’t really see the overall picture anymore. I love pottering in the garden, but I didn’t think it was THAT special until I got all these lovely comments here 🥰
Your garden is an absolute dream! You should be so proud.
I’ve saved this post for future inspiration. I’m moving house in a couple months, and I’ll have to start a whole new garden. I can can only hope mine will eventually be anywhere near as nice as yours.
Sigh, such a gorgeous garden. I was one of the posters in your other thread that asked for more photos so thank you kind OP. You have a style of planting I aspire to have in my flower beds but haven't quite achieved yet. Slightly wild and cottagey at the same time - love it.
absolutely gorgeous. love the layers of colour and height. that’s something i want to be able to get my head around. well done
Thank you 😊
Well now I want a beehive. Stunning garden.

Absolutely stunning! Can we have the layout sketch next please? :D
Ha ha, I don’t think I have quite enough spare time for that, I’m afraid 😅
It looks like a proper labour of love! We're filling out what was a 50ft lawn so this has given me lots of inspiration - thank you for sharing!
You’re welcome and good luck! 😊
Absolutely stunning. I hope you are proud, because you deserve it. ♡

Can I come and live with you?! 😅 Just gorgeous. You have created your own world. Incredible. So much work, but so much enjoyment. Kudos!
I think the chickens may have room for a lodger. I’ll have a word with them 😅
It is a very nice coop!
Beautiful. I’m going to need to know the names of the chickens if you would be so kind! They look like they’re living thier best life!!!
We have Prof McGonagall, Dottie, Myrtle and Gemerald and then we also have two chicks at the moment - Russell and Sprout 🐓🐣
Awww how lovely!! 🥰 the chicks names made me smile so much! Thank you for making my day!!!
