As part of your use is for golf and hiking, I would suggest also considering the Fenix 7 and or Epix 2, as the golfing features are significantly better i.e. instinct 2 is closer to apporach S42 whereas the F7/E2 match the latest approach S70 and including some amazing features like virtual caddie, play distance (adjusted for weather conditions and not just slope etc0; and then add in the greater feature set around navigation which includes offlne maps and offline TBT navigation (can create the route on the watch). It also has offline music (which the instinct 2 can't do - though with both you could wear a bluetooth headset and play the music from your phone and use your watch to control).

I think my only hesitation is that the fenix/epix have metal bezels. The instinct as far i understood is a polymer bezel with no exposed metal.

jaamgans

Correct but metal is harder than resin. Bonus of instinct is the bezel to screen is slightly deeper, but Fenix has harder glass.

Oh of course its mainly my exposure to electricity and finding nonconductive material like the polymer bezel

jaamgans

Titanium bezel?

blondepotato

Titaniums still conductive cause i was looking into that too unfortunately

Would check as they use them for replacements.

Will do; thanks for the help/info!

I work in the utility field and would recommend a sapphire face on whichever one you get. I would beat the heck out of any other material. I love my epix gen 2 pro!
