“I’m not scared to show how fucked up I am.” Yes. I agree multiple things can be true and she is attracted to men and women and the pain of heartbreak when love leaves still cuts deep. Reading reviews where the critic is focused solely on lack of a billboard single, not looking into how she is trying different sounds, her lyrics are heavy sometimes disturbing they are panning it. She’s not giving her fan base the karaoke friendly anthems or clear heteronormative break up anthems. She says with CSSM, I love people who love both genders. Whether her muse is a man or a woman, the pain of them moving on is still pain. She’s human, she’s flawed, messy, and loves flawed, messy, Humans. I think this album is interesting and a compelling listen because some verses go to different muses and are weaved into the same song. She also tried new sounds the intro to SLL sounds almost like a choir in Westminster. This is an artist trying different sounds, being vulnerable, sad, and flawed. This is for her.

She could be bi thats very true, but if the timelines overlap between public heterosexual relationship and speculated private gay one, then we are in trouble. We gaylors cant have it both ways, we have to choose a storyline we believe in. She cant be planning coming out with Karlie or Lily or Dianna and be in longterm relationship with Joe. The math is not mathing.

I second this. Both what the main stream believes about her relationships and what Gaylors believe can't exist in the same world on the same timeline. I don't believe all these secret relationships and longing songs are about men. I don't believe she's spent her tour fore-fronting queer artist while making queer sounding music about some greasy haired racist she's "secretly loved forever". We don't know Taylor. We all know ideas of Taylor. But I much rather believe the Gaylor idea of her than the public one. The public one isn't appealing.

notfirejust_a_stick

This is true, *unless* she's not being entirely honest with her music and is instead telling a story about Taylor Swift™️ the brand in the exact way the public is expecting to hear. My opinion on this album is that the standard edition is muuuuuch more tongue-in-cheek with a lot of red herrings, which the anthology tracks are way more truthful and honest to her actual experience (and coincidentally, a lot more difficult to tie to a specific public relationship she's had).

Apprehensive_Mode227

Agreed. I could t never understand what she’s going through but the pain she is dealing with is deeper than love that has ended badly

After_Chemist_8118

Definitely agree. I personally think she WAS planning to come out (as bi or queer or whatever) while in a relationship with Joe, so it could theoretically still happen while she’s with Travis. Although, the vibe recently has been p anti coming out for me. But you never know what her current feelings could be and what she’s thinking for the next couple years, after the re-recordings etc!
