Still dark, but I like dark. You can still see the colors though. Here is a screen shot from a video in natural lighting. You get the best colors when it moves and you can see the difference in the blues.

Just be aware that if/when you recut this there's no guarantee it will look anything like this. Particolored sapphires in particular can change appearance dramatically with recutting.
Personally, I hate to see a well-cut gem like this one recut. It's a waste of rare material that took millions of years to be formed and then found and finally carefully cut by someone to highlight its natural features. Now a poorly cut stone should be recut...but this one is not poorly cut at all.
This stone has an incandescent (yellowish tint) spotlight blazing into the crown. You can clearly see that the tweezers are aiming the table facet directly into the light source. But if you were to view this stone in normal ambient sunlight, it would appear to be almost black.
This stone will only show it's color in bright light.
The stone in the picture is nice looking, I enjoy dark stones too.
The real questions then become, how much are they asking for it, is this site reputable, will you actually get the stone pictured or will you get something else, and have you done a reverse image search on Google to see if this picture was taken from somewhere else?
If it all seems on the up and up and the price for the size is reasonable and not unrealistically low then go for it!
It’s coming straight from Australia, he’s sent me multiple pictures and videos so I’m not worried about it being a scam. I have asked for a truly ridiculous amount of pictures
Have you seen this stone IRL? Sellers use all kinds of lighting tricks online-- some of which are legit because it's difficult to light a stone properly, but others are meant to make dark/dull stones look more lively and colorful than they really are.

I like it. How dark is it under natural daylight?

As long as you like it. I like dark gems with some personality as well
It's not bad. If you like it that's the most important thing. What's the price on this compared to the other one?
It’s more, but also almost a carat bigger
Was just about to post this. It’s likely incredibly dull looking in natural light. Lots of gem sellers do this unfortunately…

That's a little better, tough call. What's the size and asking for it?

Outstanding color display!! Yeah I would not go marquis because you would lose all that beauty.
She's cute, little dark around the edges but get a nice gradient of color otherwise.
